New update
I hate the new update, it has wiped my stats, and the whole layout is annoying me as not working as it used to, hate it so much I am going to uninstall it!
Sudden ad problem
This app is, in itself great but in the last few days there’s suddenly loads of ads slowing down and obscuring the screen
Used to love this app before the update
Before the recent update this was my go to game. Easy to play and navigate with 4 different playing levels to choose from. It was all free and nothing to pay for with no ads, but now you can’t use the find error button, solve letter and solve word buttons without watching an advert unless you pay a premium! I also don’t like the new layout and the buttons look really old fashioned unlike before. This game used to be great and I like that it uses British words, phrases and spellings. But now, I’ve deleted the app because I don’t want to waste my time watching ads or paying for something that used to be free.

Recently received a P/D diagnosis & after a lot of reading - knew that mental exercise was just as crucial as the physical side! Downloaded app and found it a real struggle at first… but after repeated attempts, I completed my very first one 🤗 Found my vocabulary extending and my interest in reading starting once more! Highly recommended ❤️
Terrible interface
There seems to be no way at all to choose which crossword you want to do, or any way of returning to a previous crossword that you gave up on.

Clues and keyboard
Some clues exceptionally tenuous. Repetitive clues for the word “it’s”. Keyboard too sensitive and repeats a letter in the next box fairly often.

I’ve been playing these puzzles for years and suddenly it’s all new. I hate it. I have to change apps now. Really sad. It was a part of my nighttime routine along with a good book.
Restoring purchases?
Actually really like the app tbh! Use it to pass the time when I’m bored but was kinda disappointed to see that although I have paid for an upgrade on my iPhone, I’d have to pay again just to have the same puzzles on my iPad! This has annoyed me slightly

I love that you can get help to complete a word if you need it. Great puzzle to wind down with. Love it.

The clues and the words do not accurately match. Its badly done by someone who doesn't put any thought into the clues and has a poor knowledge of language.
Get your brain working
Differing levels to work on. Some clues are repetetive . Good to get clues when stuck.
Upgrade?
Very good app BUT do not upgrade for another 400 puzzles as you only get about 5 each of the difficult & very difficult ones instead of 100 of each. The rest just do not appear.
OK but too many American spelled words
Title says it all. Vapour spelled vapor is a good example. Too many of these.
Best one I’ve tried
I’ve tried loads of free puzzle apps and they were all terrible, this is the first one I haven’t deleted after 1 puzzle, was fun and exactly what I was looking for. Moving around the puzzle can be a little jumpy but other than that no complaints.
Fidgety
Moving from one word to another is so fidgety. If you accidentally press the wrong square the way it moves is so frustrating
Good app
Great to use & good level of challenge. Except it would be better if errors were flagged up once you typed word in without having to check.
It's all in the clue
The answers are often a total surprise. Not rewarding for that reason.
Too many ads!!!
The puzzles are very good, make a great distraction and help pass the time away. The main criticism I have is the ads are relentless & infuriatingly so. It’s great the app is free - but there needs to be an option to dispense with those ads! They’re much too frequent, far more than any other app I’ve had; which makes it mentally wearying. The app is worth paying a small amount for, just to get rid of all the ads.

Too many of the clues are repeated all the time. Some are far too hard and I am none the wiser after I have the answer. They can be so obscure they are impossible to get

To many American words for example clue "----master, old school I put "head" but the answer was "alma" ,answers that make no sense,indeed answers that actually come from the Middle Ages words that are not used anymore.poor

This is a brilliant app if you enjoy Arrow Words. Great to be able to choose level of difficulty and is hard to put down once opened. Very very good.
Won't work with iOS 9
Loads but then freezes so the keyboard does not work and I can't use the puzzles at all.

Nice wee app, easy to use and if you are having difficulty you can always tap the "help" button.

As a novice in the game business, missing info to save on completion. Confusing because format allows letters in spaces without connection to other words in the puzzle. When used to normal crosswords have had difficulty getting used to this format. Will continue but am looking for another crossword game.

Enjoy the challenge but find it annoying that the puzzle doesn't fit the screen of my iPad

If you enjoy arrow words then this is a good app to play. With the aid of the Internet all clues are generally solvable even if your still none the wiser after.

Crosswor app
The free app only allows u to play 3 games in the same skill category. It then prompts u to upgrade, therefore it's usage is very limited. In addition, there is noway to see what parts of the puzzle you are missing. It only shows percentages completed, so u have to go line by line trying to find where you are missing a letter! A bit disappointing.
Some irritants
A few points: 1. I dispute several clues but can roll with that. 2. Is irritating that time can't be paused for a logout and return: which is how one usually plays a crossword. 3. Is not a high difficulty compared to say Guardian Weekly quick crosswords. 4. Annoying that the puzzle laps under keyboard on iPad, meaning level 4 puzzle is not all visible at once. Frustrating as this is compounded by the blank squares not being marked. In sum, wd like to see these addressed, and a serious level of difficulty introduced. Meantime, back to GW crosswords online for me.

I have noticed that when I go to a new game I go down from 300 games by two's. Therefore I am only getting 150 games for my outlay? But the game itself is very relaxing and having suffered a stroke is very healthy way of spending time. Thank you

Frustrating spelling!
Excellent idea and format. However, some very odd spellings, not all of which are down to being American! Lots of groups of two letters with no clues - that's just lazy clue-writing (or, worse, the compiler didn't notice!) Some words not even in Oxford English Dictionary, so will be finding a different game to play.
