Better than the new app
This old app is way more user friendly and straightforward to use than the new app. That being said the new app is way too busy and a lot going on.
Horrible
This app is terrible for small businesses. The self deposit part sucks! It crashes, when trying to take a photo, the camera is upside down and can never capture the check. I have to wait for it to time out so I can manually take a picture. Wasting a lot of time. I will change banks after my tax season is over! I’m tired of this bank.
Simple is better
I presently much prefer this app to the other one that was recently released. I have access to more actual features on this app than I do the other one. The only problem I have is that Touch ID will break if I log in with it then immediately go to Home Screen before I do anything, and it takes several iterations of deleting the device from Biometric ID and redoing it before it starts using it again.
Remote Deposit/Face ID Glitch
Good app but the “check front” photo function is literally upside down. Other than that, when the app is opened, Face ID just goes over and over without logging in unless you close and restart the app.
Which app?
So, I can’t access Bill Pay on my iPhone 15 iOS 17. It just spins. I can see my check register however. Not good when on travel. I have latest version of the Global CU for Business app. I just noticed that there is also a Global CU app as well in the App store? I updated from AlaskaUSA when it changed, and there was only one at the time. I have the same Global CU for Business app on my iPad and Bill Pay works fine. My question is, which app should I be using? Hopefully one of them isn’t a scam. The Global CU app appears to be the most recently updated. Please advise.
What on Earth?
What are you doing? FaceID doesn’t work with this app - why? Do you want anyone to be able to just log in? Oh wait, they can’t - because you CAN’T EVEN SAVE YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION. I hate this app. Lots. Like, a lot a lot. -7/10 will not use.

Face ID glitches
I previously had an auto loan with Alaska Credit Union. Then take over by Global…the same app but now I have a repeating cycle of the face recognition trying to log me in. I can occasionally tap on the user id to break the cycle, then enter in my details but it’s pretty annoying. Once in, the app allows me to pay my loan easily. Please update or fix.
Touch Enable often fails
I prefer this app for business as opposed to the new Global CU app, but the touch opening on the business app is often not working correctly. All my other banking apps work just fine including the other Global CU app so it is not my device.
Global is ridiculous
This was the app that was used when global was still Alaska FCU. For some reason, they decided to make a new app for personal banking and change this app to business accounts, which made it not work for personal accounts. Why not just make a new app for personal banking instead of making thousands of people switch over to a new app Absolutely ridiculous
Eh
When trying to login in with Face ID, it reads my face but does not log in. It does it in a repetitive cycle that gets annoying at one point
Unwieldy
App still give only touchId option when device doesn’t offer that. Facial recognition is so iffy as to be useless.
Mobile Deposit Camera function needs Update
Since the last update, whenever I make a mobile deposit, the camera is backwards when it opens it. I move forward with the camera and the screen shows moving back. Move left and it shows moving right. I have to take a manual photo every time. Frustrating at times.
If I knew before, what I know now, I wouldn’t pick global for banking for my business
I’ve been a Wells Fargo customer for a long time, when you get used to their app, and the ease of everything in their accounts, it’s really hard to accept anything else. I opened a business account at Global to keep my accounts separate, and I wish I wouldn’t have done this.
Bad gateway
I keep trying to login but keep getting “502 bad gateway”
Zelle
Are you guys going to step into the 21st century and modernize your app to integrate Zelle? In March Zelle is terminating the option to add your debit card and send money through the app which means global FCU users who use that service will be left back in the Stone Age because you guys refuse to modernize your app. POP money is a joke and ACH takes entirely too long. Please add the option to use Zelle in the app before it’s too late.
Behind the times/money
If you depend upon modern technology… this is not the bank for you. Statements every 3 months! Online information not in real time! You can’t see your bill pay details! Save your time/money… stay away.

Why am I still having trouble even just logging in on a consistent basis? Still?
Poorly Made, but there’s a new one
If you are still using this app for personal banking switch to the other app called Global Credit Union, it’s way better. This app is and always has been extremely poorly made, and the other app both isn’t as buggy and has more features.
Fix your busted mess
I shouldn’t have to reenable Face ID biometrics every time I open the app. And maybe stop the remote deposit from flipping the camera image randomly.
Face ID hasn’t worked
firstly, the face ID makes me reset it about every other time i use the app (or try to) secondly, i’m very disappointed with the name change. we don’t need “global”, it sounds stupid, let us live our simple lives with Alaska in the name because we’re proud of living here.

Terrible UI
It’s a bit disappointing that you have other credit unions focused on making the user experience easier but Alaska FCU still has an app that looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2010. I gave it a 2 star only because it at least let’s me see my balance among other things. Overall, terrible banking app.
Biometric ID
I have never had these issues with AlaskaUSA. Every now and then GCU forgets and releases my Biometric ID and I have to re-enter it again. And most of the time the Face ID just scans your face 5 times and doesn’t even log you in. Please for our sanity FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!
Needs to be Updated for the 21st Century
This app worked well when it first came out but hasn’t been updated for a very long time. Glitches galore on the remote deposit portion which worked well when it came out but now does not read the check, the manual capture is sketchy. I guess they (AKUSA FCU) are too busy with their Global conversion that they forgot this app.
