User Error
Minor issues really are just user error. Love that my hockey bros know where I am at all times.
Hot inaccurate garbage
Works randomly. Does not update automatically. Totally inaccurate. Have been using for 5 years. Time to delete.
Good but not reliable
This app has been ideal for us in many ways. But too often when someone is in the building they show as not in. For some reason they need to go in and change the settings back to what they were previously. Why? It is very annoying and makes the app unreliable.
Not working today
It seems to briefly open and then close. Shut my phone down and restarted, still won’t work. Was working yesterday.
App works but...
this app makes it easy to check in and out. I don’t use the Geo fencing feature because I’m not always working when I am in the office. The one thing they can fix is when you schedule a update it defaults to a week in the future. So often times if you don’t remember to change the date to the current date, you wind up scheduling an update a week in the future. Seems like that would be an easy fix. Other than that, the app works wonderfully.
Love this status tracking app
Our small company of 45, have used this App for close to 2 years now, replacing a paper sign in/out sheet. We love the ease of use, automatic status updates, geofences, and the ability for people to customize their own statuses or use our Company Quick Picks. Quick glance at the ‘board’ tells us where everyone is at any given time. Simple. Easy to learn. Painless. Efficient.
No option to enter hours to share location.
We are fine to share location during office hours. No automatic option in the app to stop sharing location during off business hours.
Tuning
It’s a great simple app. It needs some tuning in the syncing / updating of people in our multi-site config.
Great Until iOS Updates
My organization uses this for our IT techs and we’ve been loving it, however with the recent iOS update the locations services are not working. Again, we’re using this is IT so we know how to trouble shoot and this has become very inconvenient.
Easy status indicator
It would be nice if an indicator showed on our main computer or device screen as a red or green dot to indicate in vs out. Similar to MS Teams indicator in my tool tray to show messages.

What is the point of the app using my location to identify if I am within the geofence if I have to manually update it?
Useful App
Very good and useful app. Sometimes does not automatically sign in/out but I guess this might potantially be due to weak connection as well. The only problem is that every time I try to update my photo, the app crashes.
Simple in out
The concept is good,but this app kills batteries like no other app I’ve seen my phone went from lasting a week to less than a day this is the only app I’ve installed on this phone. It’s a little to simple for me needs some better features like using wifi AP to determine locations.
Show time on Status page
This really needs to be updated to show the time you punched in and out on the main status screen. I know it shows it in the Board tab with everyone else, but to check that requires 2+ screen changes and some scrolling or typing to find yourself. Putting it on the main Status screen with your profile is just that much more convenient for at a glance situations.

Not seeing geofence after IOS update
Not seeing geofence after IOS 15 update.
Brilliant but needs some tweaks
We’ve been using Simple In/Out for over 2 years now, it’s brilliant - it revolutionised our evacuation drills and brought the time to evacuate, muster and account for everyone down to under 3-minutes! However, the app randomly changes user settings: - The settings randomly change on their own, switching off the automatic status updates (essential for the geofencing functionality) and the notifications.. - This used to only happen after each app update, the app was unable to remember who we were and would log the user out of the app meaning we’d have to log in again after each update and turn on the settings to make it work. This meant I had to create user-guides for the less savvy personnel. - Lately though, it’s been doing it between updates, just switching settings off so it takes an audit to see who’s apps haven’t been checking them in automatically.. Please find this bug and fix it! :-)
Doesn’t clock me in
I clock in and have to refresh and check that it does actually do so because sometimes it doesn’t and I have to resubmit. A few times I have not refreshed to check and I have to write an email every time I “forget to clock in”. Hopefully they get this fixed because it is very frustrating.
Needs Apple Watch compatibility
Being able to change my in/out status from my watch would have me rate this 5 stars.

This app is not flexible now which is annoying when you use it. Have to undock my iPad.
Great app, but upgrades process needs work
I have found this app extremely helpful. The geofence feature has been great. There is no way I could remember to sign in/out manually, so this is a job saver. Interface is simple and easy to use, although non-intuitive in a few places. There is, however, and issue with upgrades. I often lose my geofence (and sometimes login) settings after an app upgrade. This is very frustrating as I don't find out until I am confronted by my manager. The app should be able to carry my settings forward between versions. Fix this, and you have earned 5 stars.
It’s alright
I use this for work, and although it updates me automatically, it also doesn’t do that some days. I’m always getting notifications that my status couldn’t be updated because it would over overwrite my current status. My “current status” was updated by Simple In Out. I didn’t manually go in and update it. Also, every time an update happens, I have to go in and reset all my settings. It’s also a big battery drainer. So yeah, the app is just alright.
Great product, in theory
Amazing idea!!! Too bad it only works a percentage of the time. What percentage? Depends on the day. Sometime 100%. Sometimes 80%. Sometimes 15%. Sometimes 0%. Bummer.
Just what I wanted...
I’ve been testing a number of apps for a “simple in/out” board, and this one finally fits the bill. The app has a simple & full featured UI and works very well. The customer service is outstanding. I received a detailed & helpful email after asking some questions the day after I contacted them. This app is going to work perfectly for us.

Easy to use and set up
First impressions: simple to use but a lot of scrolling. (20 people in our department = 3 screens.) Would like the option of displaying one line per person to get more people on the screen (less scrolling). Also maybe option to show as a matrix - get 2 or 3 people per row.
Geofence issue
Geofence only works about 50% of the time. Almost every week I have to answer to my authority asking why I my board status isn't updated. If there is a solution or I'm doing something wrong someone please let me know. But I hate this app, that geofence needs to work 100% of the time for my job.
Good tool.
This is a great tool for the work place. I am not a fan on geofencing. Having my location on constantly drains battery power and data usages. And on a lesser note, scares me a bit. I wish there was a way that I could be checked in when I connected to my job site's wifi. Then it would click me in without the data usage or the constant tracking. This doesn't diminish my battery power, but that's my fault for keeping my wifi on.
Fit a need perfectly!
Great app with a great web service that fit a need we had. We appreciate the well thought out design.
Unusable
I downloaded this app to attempt to use it. I like the preview. However, on the login page there is no link or button to create a new account. With that being said, I cannot create an account, which means I cannot login. This makes this app unusable for a new user.
Yay!
It works! Geofences are great. They get glitchy if multiple fences are too close together, but that's not a deal breaker.

This app is extremely inaccurate and undependable. Our company can't tell where people are.
Great when the app isn’t crashing
When it works, it’s great. But it recently started just crashing within a second of opening. If I uninstall and reinstall it works again…for a while. Using an iPhone 6 with up-to-date iOS.
Perfect for letting your company know if you are in the office or not.
Although I am still in the testing phase and haven't deployed this throughout the company here are some thoughts on what I have come to like about the trial. Everyone in our company is supposed to move a tiny magnet on our white board indicating if they are in or not and sometimes they forget to do this. With this app we no longer have to worry about people forgetting to update the board as the GeoFences take care of this automatically. The whole point of this board was to help us identify who was potentially in harms way if there was ever a fire by cross referencing who was registered as in the office on the board. I love how you can also filter the boards so if you have multiple office locations you can add them to a custom group and filter your search results to find out if that person is actually in that office or not. This app could also be used as an informal time clock because it tracks the time that you showed up on site and when you leave. Overall a great app for any company to have.
Subscribing
I wouldn’t of try it. The app stated “ after 45 days you can subscribe” it doesn’t tell you the cost or any details. Felt like a scam.
Works well
Would be nice to enable geofence monitoring to be active on a schedule (M-F, 8am-8pm,etc…) and the option to not overwrite the status message if you've already marked yourself in/out.
Meh
Lots of scrolling. Wanted something more simple. And no free plan! So I have to pay to keep track of the family? Eh, I will use an alternative for my family and most likely forget your product when I need the functionality for my business.
Works as expected....Almost
The app works well when manually changing status. The geofencing is mostly ok. Geofencing looses connectivity at random intervals with no notice until you realize your not signed in. Accuracy was spot on until a few weeks ago when it started checking me in and out up to two miles outside of the geofence. Beacons are not quite there yet.

This app does not work good on older phones. It never clocks me in or out and i have to do it manually I’m so sick of this dam app. And yes i has the tech guy look at it and he had no answer to fix it.

This app does not always work. I have the geo fence set up; however, it seems to only work when I go into the app. I thought it would be more automatic.
It's okay
When I have location services turned on, it randomly mark me as 'out' then marks me as 'in' not 5 seconds later. Other times it tells me it can not update my status and I have to do it manually. Other than that, it works great.

This software does not track the fences very well.The fences pop up and I'm not in that location. What gives
