Seems to actually relax you
In an odd kind of way, following the breathing makes you very calm. I also like the sound effect. Wasn’t a big believer at first, but it does seem to have a positive influence on your health.
Run away
This app is a nightmare, installed it keeps popping up on its own, deleted twice keeps coming back, sound doesn’t work right.
Seems great
I really like the interface; the illustration of man and lungs & diaphragm moving along with progress circle and the different sounds to cue in vs exhale are great for beginners. Gave me something to focus and come back to, which haven't been able to do alone. Just wish I could explore more with different breathing ratios.
Issues with security, sound, clarity, ‘extras’
When I click info icon, i get a message saying the connection is not secure and the website may be impersonating saagara.com to steal my info - is this an issue with your security certificate? The sound is not working, even after clicking on the loudspeaker icons and checking settings in phone. The calendar/timetable is not clear to me - what are the numbers at the left side? There seems little extra in the pay version compared to the free version - what is the $7.99 for? If these were all ok rating would be 4. Now when I look at it I just feel tense. Can anyone help?
Worth the effort to figure out
If you can’t get the sound to work, try toggling your phone off of silent mode. This app is not very user friendly and takes some time to figure out how to use but in my opinion it is worth the effort. I enjoy the auditory cues for your breath and helps me stay focused on my breathing vs counting the length. Wish it were a little more intuitive to use.
Excellent Breathing Tool
My favorite breathing app so far. Simple and intuitive to use, good customization. And focused on breathing instead of trying to cram a lot of features I don’t want.
No sound
Sound did not work, defeats the purpose of an app to guide meditation. I deleted it.
Pranayama upgrade
Please help...I want to upgrade but cannot tell difference between "Health Through Breathing" and "Universal Breathing". Cannot contact Saagara....

This app was last updated three years ago, meaning 2017. When I went to the website to get support, it said “Due to the high volume of emails we receive, we are temporarily closing our contact form.” That means they are willing to take your money, but won’t do anything to support you. Be aware.
No music
Seemed like a great idea but the music won't work which makes it less useful.
How do you come out of the app?
Very basic but does the job. Only problem is I’m struggling to come out of the app once I’ve finished. There doesn’t seem to be an exit, please can someone help with this?
Would be great if it didn't drain battery
Usually if you leave an app on the ipod will go to sleep after awhile or at least the screen will blacken. That's not the case w this app. It's unfortunate that I can't use it to help me fall asleep at night without the battery totally draining. Please fix this.

I have been using this app for years. The sound and visualizations along with customization options are perfect. This is one of my favorite apps ever.

Good idea and great app. But startup is very delayed for prompting and tracks will not play in lock screen
Improves asthma and life
I’ve been using this app for years. Haven’t had to use my asthma inhaler after three months of daily practice. Even in the worst allergy season, I am asthma free. Deep breathing supports everything related to your health and this app brilliantly guides you no matter how you learn with charts, sounds, examples, written directions, and customized sessions. Thanks for creating it and updating it.

The paid version of the app only work in beginner. The company shut down their “contact” link.

Application is seriously outdated. Will give it a little bit more then delete. Possible security issue.
Pretty good app
This is a pretty good app that seems to do a good job of teaching Pranayama at increasing levels of difficulty. My only complaint is that the music can't be heard on the iPhone. At least without headphones. They had mentioned this was occurring only on the iPad but I can attest to the fact it does happen on the iPhone as well. Hope they'll fix it soon. I wouldn't be willing to purchase the paid version without the sound feature being fixed.
Update?
The app is an amazing idea, and if being done and used correctly very beneficial, but how about updating sometime soon, I got a message that the app may not work correctly with my version. What's up with the lack of app support people?
Sound Disappeared
Great app, I’ve used it for years but the sound disappeared. Very disappointed.
Music & Chimes?
I love this app on my iPhone, but for some reason when I installed the iPad version on my iPad I am unable to hear the music or chimes. I have tried adjusting the volume settings but it remains silent. Would love to solve the problem because it's not the same without the music!

I just downloaded this app and used it for the first time. The pranayama is proven to be a very successful way to manage distress and I really need that for my mental health condition. I have practiced yoga and meditation off and on for years, but somehow, the visual breathing countdown is really useful and helped me focus on the amount of time I breathed in and out. As I was doing the exercise, I actually could feel my muscles and body becoming very relaxed. I think this is an amazing health app could for a variety of health problems. Yes!!
Audio bug
Always have to restart phone for audio to work. Needs fix.
Sound?
Agreed the app is very helpful for centering, but am I supposed to be able to hear music, chimes, etc?
Can't modify count
I did download it to see if I could program the breath count I wanted w/ 6-3-6-3. It doesn't allow you to program it for what you want so it didn't serve any purpose for me. I gave it two stars as it has a nice interface.

This is a great app. A great way to focus on your breathing so that it is done correctly. I would give 5 stars if the sound continued to work after the screen has turned off. I would like to buy the full version but I'm not sure if I would with this issue.
Slow to load and fixed music
I was looking for a controlled breathing app and this one looked promising except it is not designed with a simple iPhone interface. It has a graphics heavy interface reminiscent of multimedia CDs and hence takes ages to load. It will only play a few preset 'ambiance' tracks to guide breathing and I can imagine that getting irritating very quickly. No chime option which would be better. I ended up with 'Deep Breathing' app for simplicity.
Works great
I was recommended this app and stile of yoga before going to Colorado to help with breathing and increase my oxygen levels and doing this for a week before going on the trip and during it I can honestly say it really must have worked I went from sea level to 9600ft and I had no problem adjusting to the air and was able to fully function while my friends had to supplement their oxygen and take aspirin. I didn't take any thing and felt fine, all in all great app
Major Flaw
You have to have the screen on or the app shuts off. For the $ this should be able to run in the background or even run concurrently with your music. Plenty of apps like Pandora can play in the background WHILE u use or listen to something else. Please fix this
Wonderful, but...
I just used to app to help me manage my migraine. It worked (breathing/biofeedback usually does, when I take the time to do it!) but I wish the volume worked so that I could close my eyes! Even with the volume not working, it's a 4 star app, and I'm considering buying the full version!
Pranayama
Looks great. Free version very restricted & soon prompts for purchased version. Full version does not work for sound at all which is the main reason I bought it. Some of controls have very slow response when touched screen.

Annoying ads
I don't care if it is free. Way to many ads that you have to sit through each time you change screens. Deleted it after using it twice.
LOVE app, but volume stopped working
Me and my ten year old were doing this every night before bed but the volume has stopped working, so instead of using our ears to work on our breathing, we have to stare at the screen. Once this bug is fixed, I'll up it to a 5 star! LOVE this app!!! (Now go fix the volume...)
