Can somebody please explain to me why a metronome app has a monthly cost? I really don’t understand it. It’s a very simple tool and I really can’t think of a reason other than “more profits.” Are the developement costs really that high?? Why on earth should I pay hundreds of dollars for a good app to use for a few years?
90 seconds for tuning?
The app’s UI is a m a z i n g and the metronome is super flexible! What I don’t like is that you have only 90 secs. for tuning... shouldn’t one of the more basic features be totally free? Just my two cents. Still love the app!

it’s literally just practice plus but you don’t have to pay for as much, still has the outdating issues, just get a better metronome frfr 🙏

Fantastic metronome app ruined by intrusive advertising
This is a well designed metronome app made nigh unusable by advertising, even in the paid version. The free version has unobtrusive third party ads and extremely intrusive ads to buy the app - every time you try to change a setting it pops up a full screen ad you have to dismiss to continue using the app. After you pay, the third party ads disappear, and the ad to buy the app is replaced with an ad for another app by the same developer - just as intrusive as before paying. It makes it difficult to use the app at all and quite frankly is false advertising - paying for the app was supposed to remove all the ads! When i contacted the developer about this issue, they encouraged me to try another app they’d made, instead of fixing the app I’d paid for. Additionally, the app is harvesting and presumably sharing location and other personal data that a metronome app absolutely doesn’t need. I regret buying this app and now don’t trust the developer to try any of their other apps. I advise against buying anything from this design studio.
Excellent if the buttons are big
Very good and clean simple metronome app. It’s good to see the bar visually. The buttons are too small. When we practice, we have to keep turning it on and off. The on/off button is very tiny on the corner and it’s difficult to hit when you are standing somewhat far away and have instrument/bow in your hand. A big button at the center of the screen would make it so much easier to use it.
good for a free app, I use it all the time
Good solid metronome app if you need something straightforward to practice with. Has different sounds to choose from so you can use a more subtle woodblock sound or a sharper beep sound. You can choose time signature and use subdivisions. To select tempo, you can either scroll on the tempo line or hit the -/+ buttons to move just 1 bpm at a time. You can’t type in a tempo, so it might take a couple seconds longer than usual to switch from a fast tempo like 180 to something slow like 50, because you will scroll for most of it then hit -/+ to get your exact number. Very workable though. When you open the app, it always starts with an ad page for upgrade which you close out before accessing the metronome. So you have to do that each time, but again for a free app I think it’s great. The visual indicator of the tempo is a line that slides back and forth with each beat, not consecutive dots that light up, in case that matters to you. Seems good to me but I typically don’t use visual on any metronome so it doesn’t matter to me.

Crud advertisements! They are cruddy annoying! 😤 …but Metronome+ is an excellent way to make sure I am playing my songs on the piano on beat all the time! This is a really great app overall! 😉
App needs major updates
This is an app that’s about 5 years behind. So many things…
Setlist does not keep the subdivisions.
For whatever reason the subdivision does not save as I save the set lists. Not sure why? It says that it is 8ths but if you click on it or other so that it changes back to 1/4 which is annoying! But other than that it’s an okay metronome. Hopefully they will update it and fix this bug?

I like the app overall. Really wish for the tuner I could set it to display flats instead of sharps. Would be nice too to include a dark theme.

Bring back landscape mode please
I used to love this app and recommend it to everyone. However, the newer interface makes it much harder to use. I think the lack of landscape mode made the numbers and buttons much smaller. Now they require a lot of attention to find and adjust, breaking up the flow of the practice session. Please kindly make a new update so I can go back to recommending your app to everyone. Thanks.

Too bad about the update
I’ve used this app every day for many years. It was perfect and needed no improvements. The redesign removing landscape mode is a great disappointment. It makes the tempo scroll wheel and the start and stop buttons much less usable and unattractive to boot.
Works as expected.
Would love some presets to choose from. Used for exercise.
The kind of ruined it
This is been my go to metronome app for years now… The interface is ugly and difficult to see now, especially in step-up mode which I use all the time. You can barely see the metronome now! They’ve already lost one sale because I just recommended a different app to a student. Hopefully they’ll have time to address the problem. Why not bring the old look back?

Why can’t I find a completely free metronome
All of these metronomes all have the same features, yet none of them are completely free. Some make you buy them for a flat fee, others spam you with micro transactions. I just want to play my instrument. If anyone has a completely free metronome please let me know. Also it crashes sometimes.
Good . . . but missing a basic feature
This is a good app. However you cannot adjust the sound level or make it silent, even with the phone on vibrate. I would like to be able to get a tempo silently. How about it developers?

Simple and effective but with one very annoying flaw
There is plenty to like about this streamlined metronome, and I actually paid for it before it was free. My only complaint is that the swiping feature is super easy to set off, and its slow, automated sweep takes forever, compounding the irritation. When I am practicing and I need to lean over to pause my metronome, if I even slightly miss the button, the whole thing rolls over at a glacial pace to the options screen. Since I didn't even want the options screen, waiting for my error to complete itself at the tail end of a six hour practice day is potentially ulcer inducing. Please make this at least optional to turn off, or just introduce a separate button to access the options.

Ruined!
This app used to be perfect. I used it for transcribing, I used it on gigs, I used it for teaching, and I recommended it to all my students. Then it changed. Now it no longer lets Anytune play when going, and the ads constantly popping up make it completely unusable for gigs or even rehearsals. What a shame. All but useless to me now.
Issue with battery life
Great app but it's a battery power hog! Worse than watching a 2 hour movie. Is it just me? Otherwise it does what it is suppose to do perfectly. Suggestion: a button for + or - 10 bpm
Needs Volume Control!
This otherwise nicely designed app is useless to me without the most basic feature... a volume setting! I use my iPad with a piano app running into a pair of monitors for practicing, and when I tried to use this app at the same time it was WAY too loud. I can't adjust the volume of the piano app higher as it intoduces distortion, so it impossible for me to use these simultaneously. So, please add volume control!
