This game had/has a ton of potential but the developers are letting it die. Its very glitchy, classes are unbalanced, and there are 100s of quality of life improvements necessary. Content updates are only for new cash grab fashion items. This game is dead soon.
Great game but no mmo happening
I played this game a lot in 2012 and 2013 and then got away from it. Started playing again last month. I miss the social clan play which is virtually gone. The game has matured to the point that most players are in endgame and in clans that dominate their server. They do not interact with new players. The game is also not attracting new players so you warned around in the world alone. You see the high levels in the castle, but they won’t even respond to a simple hello. For the record of leveled up to the mid 90s and intend to keep going if I can. The makers are missing a real opportunity to market this game and bring new people on to get that excitement back It’s really well done with lots of interesting quests, and lots of opportunity for group play. The world’s characters and mobs are great. There’s just no one to group with.

Players beware!
I spent a substantial amount of cash building up my hero and was then unable to play for some time due to work, family commitments, and health. When I returned my account was deleted. I contacted support and: 1) was told that accounts are deleted after inactivity but could be restored and, 2) because I had forgotten my password (I could give purchase dates, hero name, my email address, etc.) I was unable to have my account restored. So much for my money and the time it took to become a level 42 ranger! In short, you’re taking a chance. It’s actually a decent game, but it’s a shame support is non-existent and you may lose out on the money you spend.
Game has gotten better
Honestly, the game has seen a lot of improvements since launch. It’s still hard to get anywhere without spending a lot of money which sucks but it’s actually doable now which is cool.
Unfortunate Bug
Played this game years and years ago and wanted to get back into it. Unfortunately I encountered a bug that was part of the tutorial with a missing button causing me to be stuck on a “Tap ok” to progress
Needs to fix the bank!
I had some items in the bank, occupying 22 slots with VERY important future items, like a level 5 brown horse, level 4 brown horse, level 3 brown horse, level 2 brown horse, level 1 brown horse, and a level 1 brown hare, alongside 67 hunters favours and a hunters prize, and once i logged back into the game, BAM!! All my items except two UNWANTED items stayed! I recently put some more items that I didn’t want in there from my backpack, to see if anything else happens to those items, and it did the same thing, and left the two unwanted items. Please fix the bank, it took WAY too much time for those mounts and bounty rewards.

Tragic state of Celtic heroes
I’ve been an on and off longtime player. Me and my family have numerous exclusive pieces of gear and fashion from as early as 2011. We love this game, but the current people who run the game do not. Some people will say that playing free to play is impossible on a game like this, but it’s not entirely true. With support from a good clan you can indeed reach endgame without spending real money, and have a good time doing it. The problem is, a bunch of gambling addicts are at the heart of this games player base and that is by design. If you boot up the game you will see numerous level 220+ characters in castle everyday. Many times they are gambling ludicrous amounts of money on a whim. They will waste the most powerful elixirs in castle while doing nothing, and flaunt that they have hundreds of them before calling you a slur and buying another loot crate or rolling the dice for 500k with another gambling addict. This is by design. The current group who run the game consider these individuals their bread and butter. Nowadays most of their resources are funneled directly into overly expensive fashion pieces and loot crates. Not accessible content. They recycle the same events that spawn giant ugly bosses all over the entire world, sometimes actively making using your classes aoe moves in popular grinding spots a death sentence due to danger of aggroing the mid-end game level boss that’s way higher level than the area you’re in. This is their idea of accessible free “new” content. Funnily enough these bosses are not new and are remnants of the olden days, bosses that have been otherwise removed from the game. Artificial excitement, fake content. The main problem though is that they refuse to ban any of the incredibly toxic individuals you will see every day in the main hub. They will blatantly call you slurs for everybody to see. I once reported somebody for using incredibly offensive language, and support got back to me with the most insane response you’ll ever hear from official support. They said, hey buddy, it seems you called this person who was using actual slurs and bullying low levels for being poor a loser. Due to your own TOXIC language, if we were to take action on this other person who was bullying new players and saying slurs, we would ALSO have to ban you, because calling someone who says slurs a loser is just as bad as bullying new players and actually using slurs. This is because the person who was bullying these new players is one of their precious gambling addicts. He obviously spends hundreds if not thousands of dollars a month on the game. He is their precious cash cow and they love him, despite him actively discouraging new players from wanting to play their game. Therein lies the problem. Celtic Heroes does not care about you. If you aren’t a degenerate gambling addict who is gonna waste thousands of dollars on them you can go screw yourself. The deeper you go, the more apparent this reality becomes. I actively try to help new players and give them elixirs and money, and know other people who do the same. Despite this, the environment deliberately created by Celtic Heroes themselves deters the vast majority of new players from ever playing the game again once they realize the reality of the situation. As much as I love this game fundamentally, and as much as I and a few others will help you on your journey if you are free to play, I cannot recommend you play this game, and if you do, do NOT spend a single cent on it until things change, if they ever do.
Crash Game after teleport in “valley of the ancient”
The game is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. I've been playing on the Balor server for 8 years now, and there are cool players there who help newcomers. But, my impression remained undisclosed after I teleport to VOA, the game closes for me. I tried to reinstall and also set the most minimal graphics settings. iPhone 7 device.
Deca Ruined The Game
Deca bought the game, it's making id guess 15-20% if the revenue it used to and they are just milking what money left the game can bring in. The changes they did make are for the most part, terrible. They have been changing icons and the ui and the auction house loads far slower than previously. This game was amazing for a long time but deca is a commercial developer that doesn't care about the game like a more private developer would. Hopefully they sell the game and something can be done with it again or a new game takes its place

Recommendations
This game is incredible and it has stuck with me since I started playing it when I was 10 years old (13 years ago). Many changes have happened throughout this time, but I can say that this game is worth your time. Though it can be rough on new players because of this deep underlying pay to win and grinding aspect throughout the mid-game. Which is what I would recommend to the developers. First of all, try to advertise and engage with new people more. You have such a loyal base of supporters that would love to see new players liven up our servers again. Also, adjust the experience gained (or required) throughout the early to mid storyline, up until about level 120. By this point, new players will have had time to make friends, join a clan, start fishing and cooking to make money, and that pay to win wall wouldn’t hit so hard and so early and stop them dead in their tracks. Overall, the best game I’ve ever played, whether it be for nostalgia or for the sake of the game itself. I highly recommend new comers to try it out!
Disappointed
Very disappointing I have learned that I can no longer play on my iPad because of some VO4 thing that deca has added which for a player who’s been playing for a while good years wise when onethumbmobile was the owner this is a pain. Feels like I’ve wasted years building up a character that now can’t be played on my device. That brings my rating from 3 to 1 stars because of finding out this. For future reference update the dang compatibility thing so we don’t feel stupid for not knowing.
Amazing game
I have also played game since day one and I love it. There is so many aspects that could be moved over too a whole new game. Or create a new server. I haven’t played in awhile since everybody got to endgame. A new server would bring in new and old players. Also you need to have a post where people can say what they want added and yall actually listen.

So sad , in 2021 ther abouts you know when the covid pandemic hit , i had been working the same job for 27 years and was set for retirement i just had a few years to go and i was playing this game a long time ago. Well they laid everyone off……. Permanently. So i was playing celtic heroes with no job and then i got a horrible pain in my side i could hardly stand i went to the emergency room at the hospital and after a long wait they diagnosed me with prostate cancer . Eventually i got surgery but it didnt get it all and started coming back so they zapped me with radiation so now of my last test i am cancer free but it wiped out my retirement money and took my job so now i get to play celtic heroes alot , because i had to take my social security early i get that little check and scrape by so far with just enough money to pay bills what a world

Great game ( a piece of my childhood)
This game is very good I’ve been playing since 2011 although I have had a 7 year or so break and other smaller breaks The only reason I write this review today is to try and give some advice on how to keep the game thriving as we all know the player base has gone down significantly 1. Add seasonal events like the old days where new mobs would come about, with new bosses not the same bosses with a new name, we don’t want more ghost bosses or tree bosses or dragon bosses you could make a new Gollum boss or a new witch boss I haven’t seen a witch in the game in years 2. Mount shops like the old days when there is a new season for example dragon staffs, brooms, these used to be sold in the shop for gold yes put mounts in chests but there should also be a mount shop and also please work on making the mounts look good mounts used to look so cool for example Sleds, Carpets, Clouds and Brooms, horses, now we have uglier mounts I’d advise maybe making a dog sled mount or something creative 3. The fashion has taken a huge fall also, the best fashion in the game easily is the lanrik and hunter spider silk and frost guard fashion which was made years ago everything made since is arguably awful compared yes some of it is okay but there is nothing better than these fashion sets which were made over a decade ago 4. Double exp events or triple exp we barely ever get a exp event these days unless the servers have to be rolled back we get exp events as a sorry instead of a gift for those who still play I feel like the players deserve a little thank you sometimes and a exp event is a great way to do it 5. Add real timers to the auction house, instead of having long medium short and very short adding real countdown timers would make sniping and bidding way more interesting and people would actually use the auction house a lot more people now barely use it sometimes we’re lucky to see 5-6 pages 6. Maybe merge 2 worlds together to get a larger player base and more items circulating the server as a lot of players have stopped playing it would make the game feel more active again For example merge epona the largest server with the smallest server as epona is already pretty competitive Maybe merge Mabon with Gwydion I feel like that would be a great merge as they’re similar sizes of player base Maybe Rhiannon with Arawn as they also would combine to make a decent size world that would thrive, just a thought Also it would make clan battling fun again as new clans would be battling it out on the server or maybe they would merge clans either way it’d be interesting to see how players of the game would handle and adapt to a merge Just some food for thought However I do love the game and recommend anybody to play it just don’t get your hopes up if your a OG player as not much has changed and the player base is significantly lower than it used to be. I have tons more ideas for the game but I think I’ve rambled on a bit to much but if the devs actually are interested in making this game popping again and getting a large majority of their players back into the game I could easily help make that happen with some of my ideas OG players would flock back after hearing the news .
I miss it, truly
I want to start with some sentiment—I’ve loved this game more than any other MMORPG. I first discovered Celtic Heroes in second grade, playing sporadically like any kid. But in 2019, I locked in. I played non-stop for years, putting in upwards of 4,000 hours at a highly competitive level—organizing raids, managing gear distribution, and working alongside my co-leaders to create a fair, balanced experience for our clan. It was incredible. I say all this to give weight to my words—this isn’t just a reaction to one bad experience. I’ve seen Celtic Heroes change hands from One Thumb Mobile (OTM) to Virtual Realms (VR) and now to DECA. VR sidelined CH to focus on Warhammer Online, which flopped at launch in 2021. That led to CH being sold to DECA, which initially sparked hope. But that hope faded fast. DECA’s updates have been mostly cosmetic fashion and chests—not quite pay-to-win, but full of the exact same QoL features we’ve had for years. Frequent UI adjustments only made the game clunkier, opening up exploits for hackers and forcing server rewinds. I’m not saying they handled it terribly, but they overcomplicated everything. A new zone finally dropped this year, but I haven’t played it. I’ve been mostly cold turkey for over a year and a half. It’s sad to see a game with so much potential wither away due to mismanagement. Most of my friends have quit. This gem of a game is dying—nearly dead. I wish DECA luck, but for now, I’m done. Maybe if they overhaul the game—or make a CH2—I’d return. Until then, Celtic Heroes isn’t what it used to be.
Bugs
It’s an awesome game to explore and have fun with mates, but still needs more time fixing… In the middle of lixing while using a heroic combo, I got disconnected every 4 minutes which wastes so much lixing time. Keep falling through the map, so I end up respawning at the closes ley and loosing my mount. Bounty board won’t let me access any quests often even after it’s reset. My character freezes randomly, so I got to reset the game and the loading screen takes a long time.

No reason for anyone to ever download this ancient game that you will never play , never want to play and you will definitely never get addicted to . It’s never been updated and it runs on the same fifteen year old graphics , play , backgrounds and greed . If you like wasting time and money on a game you’ll never play , this is it ! One star because they wouldn’t allow zero stars.

This game was so good a couple of years ago it had everything to it and was so much fun however nowadays the servers are empty and everything is different. I think they should of just kept it how it was
Fishing problems.
At the first area I get stuck and can not move and the 4 fishing area sometimes will be black and I can not leave the dock. At the 19 area I was stuck underneath the dock and could the dock avoid was black and I could only move where the road was. When I turned off my game and started it I had to start over!! Please fix this problem.
Sabotaged Potential
Celtic Heroes has been an amazing game and one that everybody can enjoy as it's ever progressing, however it is not so much anymore.. Developers need to recognise this game STILL has a lot of potential to his day to make big money, but money makes money and you need to invest correct again. Over the years Celtic Heroes' community has been disregarded and had less and less communication from its Developers, whilst also under appreciating its fanbase's feedback and need for Events that clearly weren't an issue to provide in early 2010 years.. and yet with a much more advanced decade of technology in 2021 with 10+ years further experience for behind the necessary Job roles to make the game great again.. are managing to fail and let game rating and fan base plummet down. Shocking. Regulate Events and listen to your People who fund you. Thank you

Remaking a review for this game. I began playing this game back when it was a few years old. Back when it was OTM Developers and The Old Castle Courtyard. Before Auction house. Before battle mounts. Before Pets. Events were the big thing. And a new set of fashion would be released into the event chests in random assortments and rarity color and lastly the chance to get an enchanted item of fashion. They still do this in the chests and that’s what it was. When I began playing I believe frostgaurd had just been the last fashion event. Hunter fash was already a thing. And some others like lankrik. Then came Ardmair, Wyldwood, sacred auroral, Spidersilk and many others. I came back to The game 5 years ago or so after taking a break for awhile. and saw that it had been updated to what it is now. New castle. Auction house all this stuff. I’m used to it now and there is so much more fashion and items and rare things to collect or get except the devs are struggling with one big thing, heck we all are and it’s tough to figure out a solution. The problem is that the playerbase has died out. This game can be amazing if you make a close friend or find someone who will help you that’s a high Level. That’s exactly what I have been doing the last 6 or so years in this game. I am known on my server to gift expensive things or Random stuff to new players or players I have yet to gift. If I think they are sticking around and are trying then I’ll just surprise them with like a new set of fashion. Or a flying mount. Pet tokens or mount tokens. Whatever it is, after I have a conversation with them and know they are not just gonna quit in a week, I’ll just send them something of worth to give them that one Push they need financially. Because stuff in this games economy at least on my world herne, are impossibly expensive. And if you don’t have items or gold, grinding it isn’t possible. This is the incentive for buying chests. That’s how I gained my Fortune in the early days. And just became a merchant after to have gold. Even though I have given possible hundreds of millions worth of gold in fash items and stuff to new players and friends, I still have an inventory slammed full from spending so much time in this amazing game and Treating it like a mission and Job. In fact I’m about to log in and think I’ll gift the first player I see, a set of Hunter Fash. Ask them what their favorite color is (they cant say white) then I’ll know they are expecting something.
Constantly crashes
Since the last update the game has become unplayable due to constant crashes. Most of the time it crashes just trying to log in your character, or when changing zones, or just doing anything really, and even then only if you were lucky enough to log in without crashing. Not really worth it anymore, and the servers are mostly dead anyway.

I downloaded this game today and played it for a bit but after every 5 minutes it kicks me off (just went back to my home screen) The first time it kicks me off I was unable to play with same character I had to make a new one, if you could have a look at what’s causing it. I would really like to play this game again.

I used to love this
Used to play this game like 4 years ago. I got to a fairly high level, then got scammed by someone and lost all my stuff (my fault, i was young and dumb). Support didnt return scammed stuff, and i never got back into the game. Tried to restart recently, but its just not what it used to be.

So with update I now can not open any of my characters banks nor does the support button work. So no way to contact game support.
Deterioration
This game WAS fun, no matter what level you were and how long you had played for. in the past 2 years the fun has been sucked out, this however is alongside plenty of other positive changes. The most frustrating thing, is the lack of community - developer co-ordination. There are aspects of the game that make it unbalanced at endgame between classes, the issues have been known and reported for years, with little to no acknowledgement. Updates used to be something to look forward to, events used to have event bosses which were a tonne of fun, grinding in a limited time for. now? you can grind for a fashion hat, and since the hunter mask (2013/14?) they have all been ugly and worthless. Speaking of ugly and worthless, the graphical side of updates for the new dev team. What was going on with the dino update? 0 new graphics in a major update is a huge disappointment. Speaking of new bosses, for the last 4 years there has been 1 new endgame boss per year. ONE. this seems reasonable, but when you realise that there are only 4 bosses which drop gear for the maximum equip level, you begin to question why and how? having this low amount of relevant bosses really, really enables dom clans (nothing wrong with that) and disables competition ( a lot wrong with that). The gear system needs revamped, i won’t get into why but every endgame player agrees and the devs are aware of the issue. the lore was good. until the new dev team came along :) old jewellery should be sold for cheaper in the sewer shop. it is worthless outside of levelling and hard to resell. i understand that the price is high to encourage buying platinum, but play buying is a lot more prevalent through higher level players as gear costs much more gold than levelling lux. i recently stopped playing this game, i was the best dps warrior that taranis has had, and my gear was phenomenal, the problem? repetition. after being able to experience otms great seasonal events, ive found that repeating the same bosses for 2 years was not fun. the game is not fun when you are trying to perfect yourself. however, i gave this game 3 stars, because while i don’t have fun with it now, i did, it was enjoyable grinding to the point i got to, but that stopped unfortunately. i sincerely hope there is a large update in the works, it would be absolutely great to see things such as new skills, a new class, new areas, new jewellery, all with 2020 graphics. however, i also hope the current problems are fixed too. of which i have countlessly reported on the forums, with 0 even being interacted with. thanks

back in 2013-2015 this game was going in the right direction but it went south real quick. the addition of battlemounts killed the game for me, seeing everyone on a battle mount just makes the game feel alot less authentic to me. Also there isnt enough content for low to mid level players, anybody new to the game or casual players have no reason to continue playing. back in 2013 i remember tackling bosses and mobs as a group even at a lower level the game is just dead now and is designed for maxed players only to succeed and thats the main issue there just isnt enough content to draw any new players in. compare it to a game like old school runescape where there is something for everyone to do no matter if youre a sweaty or even a casual theres always something for somebody.
Decas killing this game
To many bugs and glitches they keep pushing updates but don’t fix anything… the whole server is going through the same thing all you guys need to do is fix the bank and the inventory errors but somehow they made it worse than it was before there’s no reason I should be getting kicked out of clan bank all the time

Hello otm ever since I updated my game it has been very laggy and has been crashing a lot. I have been trying to play many times but it never seems to work I have you take this in mind.
I have reinstalled this game and now it won’t let me even leave the tutorial
I liked this game when I played it in the past and was hoping to have more fun on it again but every time I spawn in after creating a character. It’s like it teleports me really high up to the point we’re the map has no textures and I can’t move out of this. Even the menus can’t be opened because the tutorial has locked them until. I show that I can turn the camera which it doesn’t even detect. I really want to play this game but I’m just going to hope it lets me play next update or something

Love this game. I thought Albion would be the top but there aren’t classes but this game does. My favorite mmorpg on iOS. Edit- PLEASE SAVE THIS GAME. Add to it. This game has SO much potential to expand. Don’t give up I will be here until it dies. The only WoW BC like experience on iOS I tried every single MMORPG.
Where’s my refund
I tried to login to my old account to find out it’s deleted (I played for the first year after release) I made a new account and played for a day or two and spent $50… I login today and the home screen says I need to register my account so I try to do that then I get signed out and it says “Apple id already in use” and won’t let me sign in with my Apple id. Expecting a refund to this Apple account asap

While I thought the game wasn’t bad and it has held okay despite its age, it cannot compete with newer members of this genre. Great customization of characters but the inventory system is horrible, the map HUD is basically useless with the color scheme the developers chose (why there isn’t a direct click from the mini-map to the actual map, I don’t know). Also, the whole “I’m yellow so I won’t hurt you but I will change to red when you get closer or you turn your back and then I will kill you” gets old really fast
