It’s a very practical and useful app. Even free version is vastly adequate for my off-road navigation and route exploring purposes.
Mise à jour et désinstallation
L’application était bien pendant de nombreuses années Mais avec la mise à jour j’ai perdu les cartes opencycle pour le vélo et les cartes rando Bref, inutile maintenant je la désinstalle

Tracé des randos
Pourquoi tous les tracés des GR, PR, chemins de compostelle ont.ils disparus ? Charger à chaque un gpx n’est pas facile et en plus il est moins précis qu’avant ( ex pour moi le « camino frances »)!!! À votre demande via Apple Je complète mes infos: Avant la grande mise à jour, sur tous les fonds de plans il y avait les tracés de toutes les randonnées balisées : les GR, les GRP les circuits de balades et surtout pour ce que j’utilisais le plus les « caminos de Santiago « en France, Espagne et Portugal. Actuellement il faut les charger un par un via le gpx qu’il faut aller chercher ou??? De plus le fond de plan était génial car on pouvait voir clairement tous les petits chemins non goudronnés qui permettaient de rattraper un chemin balisé si on s’était égaré… Pour le moment ce MAP3D ne m’apporte plus rien car pour les chemins de Compostelle que je parcours régulièrement il existe des sites comme « Gronze. com. Wise Pilgrims » . Par pour mes autres randos hors France , car j’ai l’appli d’IGN (IPHIGÉNIE) Je n’ai plus rien ! Pour comprendre mes explications qui peuvent paraître confuses regardez les cartes avant ces dernières mises à jour Cordialement Aujourd’hui 15 août 2026 Je viens de voir qu’en utilisant « hike paths » je retrouvais les circuits de randonnées. Donc excusez moi pour mes messages précédents. Juste une remarque tout de même ce serait bien de noter les références des GR et des chemins de Compostelle afin de bien les identifier parmi toutes les variantes Merci
3D/2D Map App
The 3D topographical map gives an excellent representation of actual terrain. Overlaying the roads into it, prove great for steep mountainous inclines or declines. Truckers, or large recreational vehicles, small moving trailer on passenger vehicles will find this App an excellent reference to plan for cross country trips. Other maps use satellite views which don’t really help. The plus is the viewable hiking trails.
Simple and effective
Love this app for trail walking and riding. GPS is rock solid!
Opérationnel sur routes seulement
Utilisé pour la 1ère fois aujourd’hui et avis mitigé… je l’ai utilisé pour un parcours en vtt et tant que j’étais sur route ( une départementale) tout allait bien, ensuite j’ai coupé à travers champs et là aussi pas de problème, j’étais bien balisé sur leurs cartes. Mais dès que j’ai voulu couper à travers des bois que je ne connaissais pas et que je savais raccourcir mon chemin, l’application ne m’a indiqué que des mauvaises directions. Resultat j’ai perdu plus d’une heure dans ces bois alors qu’ils étaient sensés raccourcir ma route totale. J’ai lâché l’affaire, me suis dirigé au soleil ( oui oui), ai pris des champs et un point en hauteur, à l’ancienne en gros. Je ne conseille pas pour les aficionados des sentiers perdus et cachés. Pour la route à la limite…
Superbe appli
Je l’utilise pour toutes les randonnées pédestres ou vélo. Pensez simplement à une batterie externe au delà de trois heures d’utilisation avec écran. Pour l’enregistrement sans nécessité d’écran l’appli est très peu gourmande. J’ai une base de données de fichiers gpx maintenant que je peux envoyer aux amis.
Schade - Qualität der neuen Version unzureichend
Diese App nutze ich seit vielen Jahren und habe sie für ihre Einfachheit (z.B. ohne Routing) geschätzt. Diese Woche hat sie mich zum ersten Mal im Stich gelassen. Auf einer Mountainbiketour wollte ich einen GPX-Track öffnen und fahren. Hier wurde ich mit dem neuen Abomodell konfrontiert und konnte das unterwegs nicht lösen. Eine Vorwarnung wäre gut gewesen. Spontan musste ich auf eine andere App umsteigen. Nach Abschluss des Probeabos bin ich auf mehrere Probleme gestoßen: Einige Konfigurationen musste ich mühsam wieder herstellen. Die Zoomsymbole (+ -) kann ich zwar einblenden sie haben aber keine Funktion. Das ist lästig während der Fahrt. Den Positionscursor kann ich zwar konfigurieren er ändert sich aber nicht. Die Pfeile für die Fahrtrichtung kann ich zwar in der Konfiguration aktivieren, sie erscheinen aber nicht in der Karte. Das ist für mich ein KO-Kriterium. Von den neuen Funktionen finde ich hilfreich dass jetzt mehrere Tracks parallel angezeigt werden können. Wichtiger wäre mir aber, dass die alten Funktionen wieder laufen. So kann ich die App nur noch bedingt nutzen.
Efficace mais peu ergonomique
Je l’utilise depuis déjà qq années. Rien à dire sur son efficacité. Fait le job avec fiabilité. Mais que dire de l’ergonomie. A chaque fois que je ne l’ai pas utilisé depuis qq temps, je galère pour retrouver certaines fonctions. Pour avoir utiliser qq appli GPS, celle-ci a vraiment une ergonomie contre-intuitive je trouve. Dommage.

- simple, intuitive user interface - comprehensive maps which include almost all local trails - easy to share tracks with other users (who do not need to have Maps 3D) - easy to offload tracks to other devices and view in Google Earth, Garmin Basecamp, etc. - I no longer use my expensive Garmin handheld GPS!

J’ai utilisé AlpineQuest pendant des années sur Androïd et celui qui connaît cette appli sait bien que je suis perdu. Il n’y a rien sur IOS qui équivaut à AQ. AQ C’est …The Best…El Mejor…Le Meilleur. Donc je vais conserver mon Androïd pour continuer à utiliser AQ en randonnées Sergio

Kartenausschnitte dürfen nur winzig klein sein.
Ich möchte von meinem Umfeld mir einen Ausschnitt für eine Offline Karte herunterladen. Wehe die wird ein 100MB groß, denn dann weigert sich Maps 3D diese zu laden. Wenn ein Ausschnitt von z. B. 10 qkm nicht funktioniert, ist die Funktion nutzlos. App daher gelöscht, ohne weiter nach weiteren Optionen zu schauen.
Layers not showing, maps can be inaccurate
I like the concept and would like to test it out when I go hiking. But; I am wary to begin as it doesn’t show the body of water I live next to (a lake). If this is the case, what else is not showing? Also when clicking the layers button, I could scroll through ‘something’ but there was no text to say what layer I was looking at.
Better than my 6 year old Garmin
This app is very user friendly. Not as accurate as I’d like but good enough to be very helpful. I finished crossing Mt Mamquam Glacier two days ago and this was more useful than my old Garmin Etrax 20. Instant and easy...”we should be more to the right, to pick up our track up”. When the clouds rolled in on a 14 hr hike...wasting time is no fun. This app helped a lot.
Not working properly
Extremely hard to navigate, won't let me pull up map and doesn't have trail I'm looking for.....
Complet et fiable
Bonne appli pour se dépanner en rando. Le fond de carte OSM est bien sûr limité, mais les sentiers sont ajoutés, et si on a pensé à brancher l’appli en arrivant dans la zone pour que le chargement se fasse on est tranquille.

Need to know
I’m considering the Pro version, but I’ve found that not every app that costs money is ad-free. I don’t mind a charge, but I need to know that there are (and will be) no ads. Out of 1,200 apps, I have only one that has ads, and it’s somewhat of a necessity. UPDATE: My question has been answered and I purchased the Premium version (and changed this to five stars). Thank you! (I’m not sure why the developers’ response and my subsequent response don’t show up on the original review—maybe because I no longer have this version, but the Premium version? Or maybe there’s a delay? Hopefully, the original doesn’t appear as though it’s unanswered—by either of us.)

Good Elevation GPX Files
Of probably a dozen apps I’ve tried out for making gpx files of my hikes I find this one generates the most detailed elevation history. And then is the only one I’ve found to display tracks in 3D. Very nice.
Namen der Karten werden nicht angezeigt
Man sollte meinen nach so vielen Jahren ist die Grundfunktionalität hergestellt. Aber bei der Auswahl der Karten hört man zwar wie man zwischen den Karten scrollt und die werden auch auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt. Man weiß aber nie welche das gerade ist, da die Namen bei der Auswahl nicht angezeigt werden. Weiterhin undurchsichtige Firmenpolitik mit 2 parallelen Apps anstatt die Pro Features einfach in die bestehende App einzugliedern macht man eine neue App. Support findet man nicht in der App, den man anschreiben könnte. Also keinen Kontakt Button. Scheint nicht gewünscht zu sein.

Awful interface
I wanted to be able to download maps for areas where I won't have cell coverage. Going to the search I put in a town 30 Kim away. It says the map is out if range. I've wasted all my money on all the upgrades to the light app. Documentation is slow to read and not detailed. So I have to assume that buying the full app forces me to waste my investment in light upgrades.
Great app
Very handy to have. Maybe the waypoints could have an option to be pop ups rather than having to select the green dots to open them. You can’t zoom in enough to tap waypoints that are close together. It would also be a reminder if you’re not looking at you’re phone as you move.

aktuelles Tempo wird nicht angezeigt sondern viel später...ca. 1 Min. gemittelt und noch nicht einmal NULL gesetzt wenn man still steht.....schade, denn Karten und Fox Import u. Export sind recht gut!

Pas développée pour l’ipad
L’application semble bien faite mais n’est malheureusement pas adaptée à l’ipad et à ses dimensions. Sur l’ipad 2017 comme sur le pro 12.9 de 2018,l’affichage ne se fait qu’en mode portrait et sur une petite partie de l’écran. En cliquant sur les flèches d’étirement l’affichage prend alors toute la hauteur de l’Ipad mais laisse toujours d’énormes marges noires sur les 2 côtés latéraux et ce,toujours en mode portrait. Tant pis je reste sur geoflyer europe 3d qui a peut être moins de fonctionnalités mais qui a une IO interface utilisateur aboutie.

Quando ho acquistato la versione pro lo scorso anno funzionava perfettamente, da qualche mese a questa parte non carica le mappe, vedo solo un’area circoscritta a dove mi trovo, impossibile definire e visualizzare un percorso. Pensavo il problema fosse mio, ho scaricato un’altra app, peraltro gratuita, con le medesime funzionalità e non mi dà questo problema. Non capisco da cosa possa dipendere

A really great and unique app from any aspect.
No tutorial or web help
Advice- play with the free version before trusting it or buying the full app as I did. The app got me lost since it only drew me straight lines as a crow flies, and since there is no tutorial and no online help that I found, I can't tell if I have something set wrong.

Especially 3d view
Good potential
Good potential but very frustrating to put waypoints in and no back function if you make a mistake. It also doesn’t give options to the route you can take and simply picks the shortest distance. Search function is very glitchy and doesn’t find many names. Just spent 2 hours putting my waypoints in for a 10 day treck just to accidentally press delete (no going back, and nothing asking if I was sure).... very frustrating app that needs improvement. Wish I could get my money back until they fix these glitches.
