Leuk idee, slechte uitvoering. Prijzig voor wat je krijgt
App heeft heel veel issues: routebepaling werkt niet logisch (ze zijn letterlijk vooraf uitgetekend), updatet niet wanneer je van de route afwijkt, app crasht regelmatig. Zoeken naar havens laat verkeerde resultaten zien. Zelfs je eigen route opnemen werkt niet goed (niet meer zichtbaar wanneer je navigatie aan wil zetten. Kortom: het is een hele prijzige kaart, geen navigatieapp in mijn opinie. Support valt ook tegen.
Vaargebied Denemarken
Ik lig in Stubbekobing en wil naar Stege, hemelsbreed zo’n 20km. De voorgestelde route gaat helemaal Z om Mon en zoekt de internationale vaarroute op. De kortste en voor mijn boot begaanbare route loopt echter via de Faro-Falsterbrug om Faro heen en dan onder het vervolg van genoemde brug, de Sjallands-Farobrug. Deze brug staat wel op de kaart getekend, maar zonder doorvaartgegevens. De app beschouwt dit kennelijk dus als een dam… Op de papieren kaart is de hoogte 20m en de breedte 40m . Suggestie: Aanpassen

Loopt vast en stopt
App loopt vaak vast of stopt er plotseling mee. Wanneer je bruggen/sluizen op de geplande route bekijkt, raakt Waterkaarten opeens de route kwijt. Belachelijk, zulke slechte kwaliteit, terwijl ik voor een flinke prijs een jaarabonnement afsluit. Prijs-kwaliteit-verhouding is nogal zoek
Vreemde routes
Dit jaar valt mij op dat waterkaarten niet altijd de meest voor de hand liggende route aangeeft. Bijvoorbeeld de route Oudeschild Harlingen. Waarom via het IJsselmeer, dus 2 x door de sluis? Dus min 2 uur langer.

Unmöglich auch nur ein Stück Karte zu sehen bevor man sich registriert hat. Das würde ich gerne tun - SPÄTER wenn ich mich kurz vom Produkt überzeugen konnte.
A real help
Transitted the "Mast Up" route from Amsterdam to Vlissingen in July 24. I had just been introduced to Waterkaarten and found this a fantastic help going through the canals and with the bridges and locks on the way. It was so much easier than the last time I did thois a few yeasr ago without Waterkaarten. I would strongly recommend this app to anyone traveling the Dutch canals
No information!
Downloaded the free trial version for use on U.K. inland waterways intending to take out a subscription if it was of any use. It wasn’t. Tracked across a few waterways in North Yorkshire and the lack of any useful information was startling. Many locks and bridges weren’t named, none had any details at all regarding max boat dimensions or air draft and I don’t recall seeing a single mooring point location. There is more info available on Google maps.
Gebruik Waterkaarten.
Waterkaart is overzichtelijk en duidelijk. Ook de mogelijkheden zijn goed bruikbaar. Abonnement verlengen gaat soms moeilijk.
Fijn, maar navigeren moeilijk voor binnenvaart
Voor gewoon rondvaren met een sloepje kun je moeilijk navigeren, omdat je alleen maar op brugnamen kunt navigeren in plaats van GPS plotten op de kaart

Jammer dat de snelheid soms op 0 blijft staan of constant verspringt

Valt erg tegen
Na jaren navionics app te hebben gebruikt, wilde ik deze app eens proberen vanwege de diverse positieve geluiden. Ik denk dat de mensen dier hier positief over zijn weinig referentie kader hebben want deze app is zeer matig….
AIS - POI
Als ik de AIS via wifi koppel aan Ipad, zie ik de POI niet. Ik heb de kaarten al gedownload om in offline modus de POI te zien, maar het werkt niet. Kunnen jullie dit verhelpen. Ios waterkaarten app allemaal laatste updates Alvast bedankt!
Best app ever
Never had a better marine navigation app. All info needed, and much more, is there and always accurate. Highly recommend when navigating the European inland waterways
Only a free trial
Clicked an ad and downloaded. Have to register only to find out it's a 7 day free trial. No mention anywhere that this was for a trial. Bit disappointing so deleted straight away.
Met gps is leuk
Zommige brugen niet goed aangegeven dus wel opleten. Zonder meer de beste app voor de pleziervaart. Ik heb ander apps ook uit geprobeerd maar ben toch weer terug bij ANWB app. Weer een Brug de Staphorster stouwe in Hoogeveensevaart ontbreekt. En is een belangrijke brug invm hoogte 2.60 m. Informatie sluizen onbreekt ook. Kortom werk aan de winkel. Na de laatste update.
Luft nach oben
Sehr schön ist, dass man die relevanten Infos bekommt. Brücken, Häfen, etc. Aber eine Route planen und speichern und später wieder aufrufen ist wirklich eine Katastrophe. Warum nich einfach einen Startpunkt setzen, Ziel eingeben und fertig? Das ist wirklich blöd gemacht. Schaut mal bei NaviShip. Ich muss weiterhin zwei Apps verwenden.

De app biedt geen mogelijkheid om bijvoorbeeld gericht een POI zoals een tankstation te zoeken. (tenzij je precies de naam van het tankstation kent) maar dan nog wil je dit op je kaart snel kunnen zien…
Essential App for all North European Waterways Cruising
This is a superb app with everything one could want for safe and enjoyable cruising in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the UK and much of France. Very affordable and really shows off the benefit of technology on the waterways with features like AIS, GPS and route planning. Plus all the details on locks and bridges are instantly available and kept up to date. If this lock and bridge information was available to cut and paste into a translator app then that would really help non Dutch speaking sailors.
Disappointing
When I saw the add while playing solitaire I was excited because we are leaving in 10 days for our two week canal boat trip and I am driving. The ads in the App Store look very enticing and I was prepared to pay once the trial worked for me. Unfortunately it did not. The map was very stoggy, moved jerky at best, and only moved back and forth. Vertically extremely limited. My starting locations were not in the database it seems as there was no response. Dutch language is not a problem since I lived in Drenthe 15 years. Perhaps it works well for the Netherlands, but my sailing area is canals in the south of France and the app was totally unresponsive when trying to get to that area. Looks like it’s back to the French waterways booklets for me. Schade, ist leider so. I probably will delete the app later unless it’s got scheduled updates for more of Europe in the works.

Es gibt mal wieder einen kleinen Bug. Wenn wir für die Route zu unserem Heimathafen „de Spaanjerd“ aufrufen, stürzt Waterkaarten kommentarlos ab und wird beendet.

Prima app maar de laatste update is niet goed
Eigentlich gut aber veraltet
Wir nutzen die App schon seit Jahren, allerdings sind die Karten seit über einem Jahr veraltet z.B. die Zufahrt zum Jachthafen t‘Leucken an der Maas, jetzt kommt immerhin ein Hinweis, dass dies so ist.

What’s happened to the mapping?
This was a brilliant app but what has happened to the mapping in the 2020 version? It’s awful! Used to love planning as well as navigating with this but I’ll be digging out my paper maps. A dreadful retrograde step

Every bridge in Leiden is closed from 1600 -1800 during the week. This is critical information but is not included in the app.
App mit viel Luft nach oben
GPS ist mit iPhone 11 sehr fehleranfällig, oftmals stimmt die Position in NL um mehrere 100 m nicht, mal aktualisiert sich die Position mehrere Minuten nicht. Die autom. Planung der Routen dauert oft zu lange oder bricht ab, selbst wenn eine Route möglich gewesen wäre. Speziell der GPS-Bug ist für eine Routenplanung auf Schiffen ein No-Go, für den Preis dürfte man mehr erwarten.
Brilliant
Found this when cruising this summer and thought it was great. You could nav by it if you wanted and we did in part though had plotter in cockpit. Where it is great is tap a feature and it identifies it. Tap again and you get all the details available such as contacts, opening times etc. In heavy winds we were approaching Zeeland bridge and some distance off saw bridge open. Checked the app and it was at the time the app said so had confidence to get a move on to make next opening time. Can’t fault it

Can’t get it to do anything and it’s only a trial.
Excellent information but now crashing
Has been totally invaluable for the last few years of cruising in the summer and would advise anyone cruising in the Netherlands to download. BUT after recent Apple iOS upgrades it crashes when trying to open. Please FIX IT as essential tool!

Leider können die schönsten Ankerplätze in der App nicht gefunden und navigiert werden.
Grundsätzlich nicht schlecht
Bei mir funktionierte die Standort Erkennung nicht richtig. Mein iPhone war auf gps immer eingestellt, um den Standort zu aktualisieren mußte ich das Smartphone immer Schütteln. Verbindung zum Wifi I Pad funktionierte auch nicht richtig. Die Karten an sich sind gut.

Anleger in Irland fehlen leider.
Leider fehlen mir sämtliche Anleger in Irland und Nordirland der Shannon und Erne Region. Außer den größeren Marinas sind die Details in dieser Region nur sehr sehr begrenzt verzeichnet. Ausbaufähig!
Excellent information but difficult to plan
The information offered is brilliant and very helpful, exactly what you need. Planning routes however is quite difficult and the worst fault of all is that the routes cannot be edited, so if you make a mistake, want to shorten or lengthen a route you have to start again from scratch. You can’t even edit the name of the route.
