What people like
- Best place for live scores and stats
- Easy to find match info quickly
- Great for reading detailed cricket news
What they complain about
- Too many annoying full screen ads
- Shows heavy bias toward Indian cricket
- App runs slowly and uses lots of data
Best Cricket App
Been using the app for more than a decade and the website for more than 2 decades, nothing comes close to this, as good as you are watching live.
App that had gone completely south
Used to be the flagship app for cricket. Now completely trash due to ads ads ads And more ads Uninstalling this app now
Cricinfo
I enjoy Cricinfo for their scores, reviews and other Cricket information. I’ve been a subscriber to their blog for over 20 years. Great Statsguru as well!
App getting much worse
I’ve used the app to keep up with all things Cricket. What’s up with the random ads all of a sudden that pop up?? I’ll pay to get rid of them. Please. Fix this nonsense and charge money if that’s what’s holding you guys up financially. Clean up the garbage please!
Great app, but needs iPad landscape support!
Jiostar, great job on acquiring! I really love the app, but I also love my iPad Pro more than my iPhone. Please get a proper iPad app that works in landscape mode as well.
Best cricketing app
One suggestion to the team make it light and faster
Sucks now with ads
Ruined by too many full screen 30 sec ads. Moving on to a different app.
great app with one drawback
please introduce support for live activities to iPhone, so that live scores can be followed for matches from the lock screen
Fixture for upcoming matches
Cricinfo do not have a separate button/tab when one can see the upcoming international cricket matches. App used to have that, however the updates made by the app owner removed that button/tab probably in the last few years.
County championship
There is terrible coverage of the county championship can we get better coverage for example maybe adding a ball by ball
Excellent information
The international cricket news well covering with details
Ads have made it impossible to use, uninstalled
Used it for years but now the full screen ads every time you click on anything has made it impossible to use. They have ruined something perfect. Uninstalled.
Finding a specific player is a concern
When I want to find a specific cricket player in app it is a hassle. This user interface needs to be improved
Deteriorated
Used to be the absolute bible of cricketing scores, reviews and statistics. Now it just feels like an Indian fan forum. Commentary is diabolical, where it used to be world class. Choice of comments published is laughable. I wish there was a more neutral and partisan platform with such resources, but will use this because it does the job. Just have to gloss over the huge Indian biases and comment factory
One horrible downfall
Reasonably nice app with a much improved interface. However, one rather nasty aspect that ruins the whole experience is the fact that on a search there app shoots into Internet explorer to complete search. Feels very 2010s!
Got everything about cricket here
I’ve been a cricket fan since childhood, both as a player and a passionate follower. I’ve been using Cricinfo since its early days as a website, and I still love using the app today. It’s amazing to see how it has evolved over the years while keeping cricket fans like me connected to the game. 🏏❤️
Too Many Ads, this app is unusable anymore
I have been using Cricinfo since it first launched. Now this app doesn’t allow me to read any news or articles without having numerous pop up that stay on. I’m seriously considering uninstalling this app unless it removes all these ad popup.
Point table
Aapki app achhi he but konsi team qualified ho gai or konsi disqualified hui he wo pata nahi chalta aap use update kijiye please
No landscape iPad
Forced to using Cricbuzz which is a shame
UI
Improve it
Amazing detailed info about everything cricket
5-star, without a doubt
Horrible full screen video ads
Filthy full screen take over video ads completely ruin the app. The living with it for one day and deleted it. That’s the final straw to switch to cricbuzz. Goodbye forever
app name
very good app & interface please change app name #ESPNcricinfo to #Cricinfo by ESPN
Advertisements
Now comes with advertising that covers some of the content and can’t be dismissed
Suggestion
Please dont ruine the app by running multiple ads
Review
Outstanding
Pop up ad
Information is still great but now being shown full screen ads that ruin the experience. Deleting the app
Great info
Cricket Info is a helpful service that tells you news, you can listen to commenting and you can look at stats with easy transitions from stats to other things you need. Thanks cric info
Ads are annoying
As soon as I find a decent alternative, I’m going to delete this app. Great app ruining the experience with stupid add that you can’t get rid off. You also have to click four times on tiny icons to end the advertisement. Do something or you’ll lose a loyal user of 25+ years
Too many ads
Ads
Best app for cricket information
Very informative app and complete for cricket info
Ridiculous ads, unusable
I have been a long time user. Now I no longer use it except to check score quickly. I stoped reading anything because the ads are super long and keep popping when I try to browse once in a while. Every time I see the same long ridiculous ad. I figured I would rather not use this app at all.
Great but…
This is a great app, highly recommend for cricket lovers but this app should have a landscape mode. It makes iPad users slightly more comfortable
Keeps glitching
The app is fine but every time I open an espncricinfo link on google it switches to the app and back to the tab it super annoying pls fix this
Slow
It’s become so slow sometimes it doesn’t open you have to close and then reopen again but still so slow
Faisal
We love cricket and we love cricinfo..
Forced ads making it unusable
Poly market forces ads have made it hard to even browse scores. Pit ads but don’t force a video that you need to hunt for the hidden X to get out of.
Good coverage
Vood
Advertisement about the App
It’s been frustrating to see that within the app I am getting an advertisement to download the app.
Live activities
Add Live activity for scores.
My go to place for cricket
My go to place for cricket. Although the experience can be improved
ads
made me uninstall too manny add
What no comments?
Love the app, it’s my go to, but why no comments allowed on articles?
Excessive Mobile Data Consumption
The app interface is good, but the data consumption is extremely high. It keeps using data unnecessarily, even in the background. Please fix this issue as soon as possible and release an update to reduce data usage. Otherwise, users may consider uninstalling the app.
A great cricket app
The app is really good but it is such a shame that all the best features are for games either in or featuring India. I doubt this will change but it should be noted by potential users.
Review
Great App. Displays all cricket information in a neat and organized way, so all matches and scorecards are easy to access. The UI is easy to navigate with as well. Need a cricket app, look no further, ESPNcricinfo is here.
Ads
Title says it all.
It’s helpful
Helpful
UI
Its not clean UI, interface was worse, but it has so much of content, you can make it good.
Good app but biased towards India
Good app with a clear bias towards Indian cricket team including reviews and trivia. Short of that the app is good - scorecards and presentation of matches is very good with a design easy on the eye Coverage is excellent as well 3 stars due to significant bias
