Garbage
This app crashes, go to sections of a report that you didn’t click on and once you rotate the phone sideways and then back to vertical it loses the report information you were wanting. Clicking on any of the report stats to put them in order is awkward as hell. The pop up that describes what the stat info is hard to get rid of without accidentally clicking on something else. The app needs a complete overhaul to make it more intuitive to navigate and more functional. It’s unfortunate that Hudl charges schools and organizations a premium subscription price but delivers software that works and looks like it is from a free service.

Never works properly
Don’t get it twisted, when this app works it’s amazing but I swear every time I try to use it it’ll either sign me out repeatedly, go to a black screen eternally, or whenever I try to go to a video the app crashes. I don’t know what is wrong with it but it’s gotten so annoying now that I wrote this review.
Great but fix deleting
I was testing the system and just added my teammates serves on my profile, planning to delete it. I CANT DELETE IT! NO MATTER WHAT! I ASKED CUSTOMER SERVICE AI AND ITS SO CLUELESS AND TELLS ME ITS DELETED WHEN MY FRIENDS CAN SEE IT! FIX NOW

So basically all my stats and my entire teams stats are wrong and for some reason they decided to do the other team acting like those were us I WASNT ON THE COUST AND GOT AN ATTAKING ERROR THIS LOOKS SO BAD FOR COLLEGE NOW they said we were in serve revive WHEN WE SERVED

it’s a good app when it works but most of the time whenever i’m trying to watch film i’ll click on a clip and it kicks me out of the app immediately.

New update is causing force closing during steaming. Very unreliable and frustrating

It’s a really good app and helps me watch my highlights or other teams or study for games and all around a great app
Waste
Have tried to live stream several games now. But every time, it streams for about 20 seconds then stalls for 10 seconds and locked me out of the game. I have to close and restart the app and try again with the same result. This is an absolute waste. There is only one device connected so bandwidth is not the issue.
Meh app
Overall the app is fine and the only main main problem i seem to find is that when selecting a playlist after one or two record the screen turn black.
Logged Out Can’t login
Only thing to do on an iPad is actually watch the film. Cannot upload or look at stats. Great concept bad execution.
Missing some useful features
For watching film itself it’s pretty good. But it’s missing some features that would be nice to have. For example, being able to check team minutes watching film (it had this maybe 2 years ago). Also can’t see generated reports like you can on the web. Just feels a bit incomplete.

I really like using this because it helps me with getting better at learning my playbook, it also lets me watch the last game and see what I could do better on and what I did great on, it also lets me text my coach When I have a question or need to tell him something. This is great

After last update I am unable to select videos in the app for reports. Just hangs.
Hudl w ads
I realize that these apps need to draw revenue where they can but the ads that interrupt the play are relentless and constant. It is sooooooo annoying.

Stupid updates
Stop changing everything. Every time I login to hudl something changes and it’s progressively gotten worse. I can’t change teams in the app now and it won’t let me watch varsity film. Hudl is a joke
It almost perfect
I like this app but the only thing I feel they really need to add is a way to add your own clips cause some teams like in community they don’t use hudl but you mite have a really good play or something you want to add to it so that’s the only thing I don’t like about it
Great when it actually works
Hudl used to work pretty well on my phone, but now all I get is a blank white screen so it’s pretty much useless. Not sure how to fix it, and I would be grateful for any help.

Great app, BIG flaw
A very useful app, but there's a BIG flaw, on iphone, for me at least, when you search up a team to get the film from that team so you can watch yourself, it only shows players with a name similar to what you typed and it doesn't show any team whatsoever, i've tried looking in settings and googling it but nothing works. it works great if you have a computer, but it's not useful to have on your phone.

Would be better if you could magnify within the app to be able to view scenarios closer especially when watching on iphone.

Tagging from IPad
Today, 08/15/2026 I just spent time tagging our high school football game. The app just dropped out at least four different times during my tagging. I was able to resume each time, however, when I hit the finish and uploaded into HUDL I got a surprise. I checked my data and four of my columns contain all zeroes as the data. The other 10plus columns have absolutely no data in them. I spent 15min following the A.I. Bot but none of the solutions worked. I am hoping I can speak with a live rep on Monday. As with some of the other Coaches who shared reviews, I have used HUDL for years and this is very disappointing. Hopefully they can listen to their customers and resolve our issues.
Love Hudl
I love the app, but with the new update I’m unable to view any of my highlights or any of my game film, is there a way to fix this?

I filmed my volleyball game and I’ve tried everything but the video won’t load even though I have 4 bars of data and on wifi so it’s not trusty.
Saving diagrams onto video to export
I love Hudl, but one upgrade I would love to see! When you have circled or drawn arrows etc, that these stay on your video even when downloaded or exported.

My app won’t even work on my I phone. Everything is updated (including iPhone software) , but I push the app and it just briefly flashes on and then it shuts off.
Delete option
That’s a cool app. But you should add an option to delete conversations. I got too many.

So I'm new to my highschool team and we use this app and I can't login or sign up and what I've been shown is that this is a really good app and so i give it a good review but please help me

Can’t find my team film. Keeps giving me the Hudl fan page access
Pretty good.
Overall a great app. The only slight downside I found was that it constantly has to update, and when updating it logs you out. The constant updates aren’t necessarily bad though, because I guess it means the app is constantly improving. If you would like an easier way to communicate with your team/study the playbook I’d recommend this app.
Getting worse and worse
Been using for two years now and the highlight and clip editing has gone from bad to worse.
