Nové palcené mapy
Mapy.cz byly vždy skvělá aplikace, dobře doby co jsou placené, tak často blbne, seká se, vypíná se hned po spuštění. Mobil mám nový, aktualizovaný. Dělo se to i na předchozím zařízení.
Nejlepší pro turistiku
Chybí hlasové vyhledávání u CarPlay, občas bych uvítal možnost „jet po normálních silnicích“ nebo něco jako volbu „preferuji silnice pro šířku dvou vozidel“ :)

Doteraz som bol spokojný s aplikáciou a tak som chcel vyskúšať aj verziu pro. Na mojom Apple iPhone 16 som si nijako nedokazal založiť účet. Stále podaní registracie mi mi napísal nesprávne heslo alebo adresa. Po mnohých neúspešných pokusoch som vyskúšal registráciu na Macbook. Tam registrácia prešla na prvý pokus a tak som sa skúsil prihlásiť s tým registrovaným účtom na iPhone ale znova neúspešne. Znova píše adresa na prihlásenie sa presťahovala tak na to kliknem a znova zadám platné prihlásenie ale nedá sa ani prihlásiť ani registrovať nový účet. Asi ruším skúšobnú verziu a nabudem mat verziu pro.

Nepoužitelný
Otravný banner “Bushman”
Tahle aplikace je rozhodně jedna nej na pěší turistiku a horské kolo. Poslední dobou (na placené verzi),skoro kdykoliv ji otevřu na mě vyskočí nabídka s nějakou otravnou hrou “Bushman”. Děkuji ale nemám zájem. Chci použít mapu a ne se neustále zbavovat na placené verzi nějakého balastu.
Zklamaní
Od posledních aktualizací pozoruji neuvěřitelnou pomalost načítání mapových vrstev na WiFi. Je to jak na vytáčeném připojení… Doma si ale platíme rychlejší internet a proto problém s rychlosti připojení vylučuji. Je to jen v aplikaci Mapy.com. Jinak je to naprostá pecka a jednička pro mapovou orientaci napříč dnes už všemi mými druhy cestování v České republice. Jako spousta dalších bych ocenil možnost vypnutí hry Bushman, i když to sbírám. Ma to být doplněk nikoliv hlavní prvek mapy po jejím spuštění. Rázem je mi ta značka strašně nesympatická!
Reklamy v prémium?
Jsem velký fanoušek mapy.cz, platím si prémium a přesto na mě už dva týdny vyskakuje dokola reklama na Bushmana... Zvažte prosím možnost, že platící uživatele nebudete obtěžovat reklamami (i za cenu dražšího předplatného). Jinak bohužel odejdu ke konkurenci (Organic Maps).
Best footpath map ever
Love it - where we live in West Yorkshire, it’s the only app that shows our network of tiny footpaths
Poor login UX
I use Windy and was pointed towards Mapy with in-app advertising!Despite not being pleased with advertising on an app I already pay for, I took a look at Mapy. However, not only can I not create an account - as it fails to send a verification code to my email - but one has to login in order to get support on the login issue. Catch-22 in action. I can also see from reviews that I’m not the only one to have issues with login verification. Sorry, poor UX.

Aplikace je skvělá, ale i když mám placenou verzi, tak mě při každém spuštění otravuje reklamám na Bushmana.

Pro verzi jsem si zaplatil, abych si mohl přesně naplánovat trasu. Bohužel během jízdy mě to vedlo jinou cestou. K čemu mi to potom je? A vyskakovací reklama na nějakou hru mě také obtěžuje!!!
Rides Around Tuscany
So an enquiry via Ai suggested Mapy.com as a good app to use for our 2 weeks in Tuscany. My intention was to use it for hiking, in much the same way I use my OS app in the UK. We ended up using it for much, much more. In towns and cities being able to locate WCs and public water taps was fantastic. Then I realized I could use it as a sat nav when driving - it became my preferred choice. Also navigation around Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Florence and many other towns and cities was superb (6.5 mile walking in Florence. Fantastic app that I have already recommended to friends who are heading to the region later this year. Brilliant app for hiking as well.

Excellent app, but a lot of bugs for a long long time. It freezes in planning, AR, etc. Still the best map app.
V Česku super, jinde s rezervou
V Česku jsou mapy použitelné, vzdálenost, dojezd, převýšení. Mimo Česko není možné plánovat na 100 %. Vždy je třeba připočítat aspoň 10 - 15 %
Nepřesnost
3 hvězdy za to, že občas mě turistická trasa vedla přes naprosto neoznačené cesty, které byly až mnohdy buď nebezpečně strmé nebo se vyskytovalo jiné nebezpečí v rámci oblasti

Crashes - never opens
I used to love this and it was my go-to map app. However the past year or so I cannot use it. It crashes when I try to open it. Please fix it guys. Im on iPhone 15 Pro MAX latest iOS version.

I’ve used this app for a long time, mainly for GPS navigation. However, over the past few months, it has been annoyingly pushing me to upgrade to the paid version. On top of that, it’s not as up to date as Google Maps when it comes to road closures. I’m switching back to Google Maps.
Offline mapy Apple Watch
Jsem zklamaný, zaplatil jsem předplatné, abych mohl mít mapy na Apple Watch, ale i když platím, jsou jen online a dlouho se načítají, což je nepoužitelné. Oproti minulosti musím za více offline map platit a také je v mapách čím dál více reklam. Navigace nás občas zavede do velmi úzkých ulic, kde se těžko vyhýbá. Celkově mám pocit, že se to spíše zhoršuje.

Co se děje?
Mapy.cz miluju, ale nechápu, co se stalo. Posledních pár měsíců mi aplikace jak na iPadu, tak na iPhonu padá hlavně při snaze uložit místo do oblíbených, nebo když si chci prohlédnout fotky místa...
Freezing
I love Mapy and refer to it all the time. Thank you for creating such a readable map app. However, since upgrading (now to include the option to subscribe) the ‘find a walk nearby’ feature freezes and you can’t scroll the button to a longer walk. You have to restart the app to use it at all, and the same thing will happen if you try this function again. Can this problem be fixed please?
Planowanie trasy
Z chęcią przejdę na Państwa mapy, jeżeli uprościcie Państwo planowanie trasy, widzę że na forach ludzie mają podobne opinie. Macie super dokładne i precyzyjne mapy, najlepsze ze wszystkich. A żeby się nauczyć planować trasę, musiałam siedzieć z chatem gpt i w końcu się udało. Ale zabieg jest tak skomplikowany, że w czasie wędrówki gdzie szybko trzeba zmienić trasę - to całkowicie odpada. Warto wziąć łapkę mapy turystyczne do ręki i zobaczyć jak działają - klika się punkt - obok jest od razu „dodaj”, klikasz kolejny „dodaj” - zapisz. Uprościć to do tej formy, a apkę będziecie mieć najlepszą ze wszystkich. Chodzę po górach od 8 lat, prowadzę social media związane z górami i wiele osób ma ten problem.
Has potential as car GPS
Works well, nice CarPlay integration. Would be great with speed cameras and traffic, until then it’s better for hiking etc

I love this mapping app, I thought the OS app was great, until I found Mapy. To be fair I still use OS when on Dartmoor, but when hiking abroad which I do frequently, Mapy is my go to app. Recently in the Picos mountains, there were only a very small number of tracks that weren’t featured on the map. I’ve recommended Mapy to loads of hikers and they all love it too.
Avoid this ap
The app is completely useless for making a route offline . How do I know? The app was updated and in a foreign country I couldn’t plan a route when being offline! It’s time to look for alternatives
Love the map detail
Super detail used both at home in GB and in Germany and Czechia for car navigation. Can use up a lot of mobile device power but can be managed. More information on subscription changes would be helpful.

Turisticke a cyklisticke mapy ako take su fajn pre vseobecny prehlad, ale ked si chcem skontrolovat nejaky teren mimo oficialne znacenych tras a verifikujem si ho aj skrz satelitne snimky tak narazam na problem ze su stare a velmi neaktualne. Vobec sa nezhoduju s klasickym pohladom, napriklad kopec dobudovanych novych ciest ktore su zjavne z klasickej mapy na satelitnych je stav snad zpred 5 rokov alebo viac. To je velka skoda prepinat sa do inej sluzby, to rovno pouzivat nieco lepsie ako mapy.cz
Good start
Good maps, but unfortunately the app is yet to support public transport directions which is a bummer as I don’t own a car. Which is odd as the website does.

Offline maps nerfed
I knew offline downloads were going to be greatly restricted in the new freemium version. However the reality is even worse. You now need to create an account to access your offline downloads. The OpenStreetMap data is of course crowdsourced and open licensed. It shouldn’t require an account and an in-app purchase to download. The login requirement was the final straw, I’m switching to Organic Maps which uses the same free mapping data and doesn’t harvest personal data. Mapy has reached a dead end.
Couldn’t Register to pay
Excellent program until you try to register to buy the full version. They give you a Mobile Number to send your confirmation to so that you can register for the full program. I tried 8 times using every method of contacting them but it didn’t matter how I tried to contact them, the mobile number always came back as unobtainable. Tried to see if there were other ways to contact them but couldn’t find any other way of sending a message To them or talking to someone. This was a real pity as I had been trying a number of different Mapping programs and found this one the best by far. It’s such a pity I couldn’t register and pay for for the year’s registration. Bill

Es ist nicht möglich, in der App Orte zu speichern. Habe mich an den Support gewandt. Ein Neustart des Gerätes und eine Neuinstallation haben nicht geholfen. Der Support hat mir dreimal hintereinander dieselbe Lösung vorgeschlagen. Hat nicht geholfen. Bin enttäuscht.
Wrong direction by seznam
It’s a good app but the upsell to premium subscription button embedded into the map view tells us which direction they’re taking it in. They’ve obviously decided that fewer users who will stump up a fairly hefty annual subscription is the way they want to go. Good luck with that.

Don’t update to 6.44.5 - subscription is enforced
First, my previous review is gone. Looks like mapy.cz deletes critical reviews. That’s very bad. From this version onwards they trick you, force you in subscription. It said “premium coming soon“ but it was already in that version. They refuse to help you to reverse to a previous version! With subscription you don’t gain new features, you lose multiple map downloads and offline navigation. Previously free, now only against payment. As you can see in their answers to other reviews , now they don’t distinguish between online (free) and offline (paid) navigation. Another misleading point! It is a disgusting attitude, appalling. After the update I lost tracks. They refused to help. The customer service is bad and does not help. Overall, bad development! I switched to Organic Maps. Bye bye.
Great for biking
Very good resource for a free mapping app. Especially good in Europe where the free apps are clunky. Used it a lot for cycling, plus hiking and driving. Would give 5* but some minor bike roads were unridable unless you were on a MTB.

stále píšé hľadám GPS. Mám iPhone 15 s firemným softvérom. Iné app ako Waze Sygic Google mapy fungujú bez problému. Všetko som už ponastavoval podľa pokynov AI ale nepomohlo to.
Awful voice
The level of detail in Mapy is extraordinary both inside Czechia and around the world. I was surprised how much better it was than Google Maps when in the UK. I find myself reaching for Mapy as my main mapping solution. However, that awful robotic voice makes me cringe all the time - surely in the modern world we can have voice options that are less grating - I hate it. Also, given it’s a Czech app it’s always a source of frustration how badly Czech words are mispronounced! I’m sure fixing those things would make a significant to the app.
Great app but needs a few features
I love this as a European owned and made mapping service, but it needs the option to use mph for distance, speed and speed limit in navigation for UK users. Otherwise a really great app! Update: thanks for the response I found the unit setting. My only other wish for the app would be that it was open source software.

Brilliant
I love this app. We are from the UK and found it was great for our tour of Italy & France. Lots of interesting walks that we wouldn’t have found. When you are in area it would be good to easily know which region map I need to download to work off line. It seems sometimes confusing which area when you are not familiar with a place. Good work though. ** updated comments- is it possible to have easier access to the map key on the iPhone app when offline? It’s not easy to find and I think it has a link to the website version which is not convenient if using offline maps.

There seems to be a problem
The map directions and navigation screen show roundabouts where there are only T-junctions. For example yesterday the navigation said and showed a roundabout with 11 exits (!) when in fact I arrived at a T junction with a left or right choice and I had to turn a simple right. This was on my iPhone/ CarPlay. Is this a problem with the iPhone update?
