I love this app. The little features like commute time and in school zones plus living area o each house just make it so easy to be able to compare properties and make an informed decision
Keeps crashing
The app keeps crashing after you select your filters, tried deleting and reinstalling multiple times, same issues.

It is a useful app helps me to find my favourite property. I wish if it can be added a function, for example a red star to identify the properties I have viewed.
Could be better
Good app but please include a floor plan in each listing. UK and Australia real estate do but not NZ. It’s a real shame and could so easily be rectified.
Pretty good
Seems to work alright , only thing that happens when I’m scrolling through looking at the list of properties if I click on one to look further at it, if I back out it, it starts me back at the the top of the list which is super annoying having to scroll past the same 20-30 properties again…

We never would’ve found our beautiful first home without this app, we are so grateful and will most definitely be using in the future when we decide to upgrade / invest
Why Need Full Access to Calendar
With “Add Events Only” access granted to Calendar, the app do not add events to Calendar, but prompt “Calendar permission denied”. It only adds events when “Full Access” to Calendar. Why you need the full access to my calendar while only adding events?

Saved searches are not relevant
I had saved searches land up to 120k, and daily I get sent "its a match" listings for houses and land with listed asking prices well above 1mil. Makes the whole saved searches functionality pointless when you end up having to search thru a big pile of irrelevant property to see if any actually match the search criteria. I can do that without registering and saving a search criteria (that then is ignored anyway). Today got an "its a match" email for a property (land and house) with an asking price of 1.6mil. How is that being sent as matching a saved search criteria where max price = 120,000?? However their search price algorithms are built, they are not working (in terms of 'working' meaning people get results relevant to their search filters). Is main property site/app for NZ so I will keep using as there are no other options, but I hope they will fix this one day so my saved search's are relevant. And of course when I am busy, if I get multiple emails a day saying "Its a match" then I am less likely to stop what I am doing and check the email, as I know its most likely a pile of properties well outside my price range and other preferences. And then I miss out on properties not because I am not committed to buying, but because I don't have time to filter a search filter that is incorrectly sending me 90% results outside my price range. At least once I found out from the agent (after the fact) that the highest offer was less than what I would have offered as a cash buyer. So the agents and vendors are also missing out by the search facility being so inaccurate. I'd add a screenshot of one of todays emails "matching" my under $120k search filter (for a place asking 1.7mill) if screenshots were an option here
Inconvenience Fixes
Great app. When I click onto a property and then come out, the app boots me to the top of the page instead of at the same point of the page to then continue. It forces me to speed scroll to get back to the latest listing. Also, I know it’s to track engagement but can you provide all photos on the homepage so that I don’t have to click into the listing. The analytics will be more relevant and we won’t be wasting each other’s time.

When I want to view Timaru Central & Suburban properties I do not want Temuka Geraldine & Pleasant Point listings included! These townships should be grouped together & listed as Greater South Canterbury.
Filters are a bit clunky
The app is pretty good but sometimes the filters are a bit clunky to clear. This can result in missing some listings

Use this app all the time. Looking for properties outside our area so the feedback and information we receive from this app is invaluable to us.

Great app but needs more
This app is great on most counts. It could be improved though by having ‘sold’ information as well, so users can see when their saved listings are sold and how much for. It helps enormously when doing research and also to see when something you’re interested is no longer on the market (rather than the listing just ‘disappearing’ as it currently does).
“Sold” option?
Can there be a “sold” option in the searches please? This will enable users to know what recently sold in the suburb of interest
Search feature lets it down
This is my go to real estate app but the way the search works really lets the experience down. Even with the amount of times I’ve used the search, I still struggle to get the results I want. If you’re the PM on this feature and you’re reading my review please for the love of good fix the search experience. Everything else is great.

My favourite pastime but would prefer it to stick to my chosen areas, do not want to see random other areas thrown in that are in totally different places.
Just when you thought it was safe to star browsing again…
So if you have the power cable in and at the top the app is now upside down - useless….
Better than average
It’s seems to be working fine now but one thing I would like to change is.... once the properties you have in your “saved properties” file have sold they automatically disappear from this site and also your “saved property” file. This is annoying as it’s good to be able to keep a recorded for comparison for future reference.

Would give a 5 star rating if you could hide leaseholds and houses for removal. I’m looking for a freehold property but that’s roughly 2% of all listings, with no way of filtering out the rest…

Love the search draw function on maps - Instant notifications make life way easier! And price drop emails are sooo handy

Great website, terrible app. Wouldn’t load properties and kept showing me the same 3 over and over again and then just went completely blank.

Needs improvement
It’s not the worst app, but has plenty of room for improvements. More options like remove “auction” listed housing as a filter will make navigating through this app a lot easier I find I can’t be bothered browsing when there’s a whole bunch of auction houses. you can’t filter everything else but this should be considered for future plans. UPDATE: You spell “Whanganui with a “h” not “Wanganui” whilst it is known that the iwi (tribes) of this areas dialect pronounce Māori kupu (words) without the “H” it should not be mistaken as having to be removed from the spelling of Maori kupu altogether as most other iwi pronounce Whanganui with the “h”. “Silent letters” are not removed from English words simply because we don’t pronounce them and this approach should be applied when spelling Māori kupu. How you pronounce “Whanganui” is up to the individual as it is correct either way, the issue here is only the spelling being incorrect. I added a STAR to this review as I have seen the changes you made where we can now remove “Auction” listed houses from our search. I’ll keep adding stars if you keep making the improvements. Why no floor plans?
As others have mentioned - why are there no floor plans? Especially houses with no aerial shots it’s basically impossible to understand the layout of the houses. Such a fundamental piece of information missing when looking at houses. Really odd. The rest of the app is pretty user friendly and works well

Clunky outdated
Map function is shocking to use not a very user friendly app at all no wonder more people are using trade me. Check out the Australian apps realestate.com.au or domain both run far superior apps. I can see why the reviews are 1.3 star.
3 feature requests
Nice app, not sure why it's rates 2 stars (also good for people thinking of moving to NZ / AU, not just current residents) I have 5 requests though (do at least 3 and I'll update to 5 stars): 1) land listings (lots and farm land) 2) (easy) add currency symbol to clarify NZD (just a dollar sign doesn't tell outsiders much) 3) (easy) preload next image when scrolling through photos 4) zoom on map only on double click (users are used to double, but you guys zoom on a single click) 5) (super easy) turn off 4th direction rotation (i.e., don't rotate upside down). This allows a user to lay sideways and hold their phone upside down while viewing photos in landscape mode)
Such a shame
It's just not great to use, portrait only, really? The search engine is not good either and when specifying land size it returns incorrect results. Sometimes you just cant go back to search results from a listing and have to crash out of the app. Check out TradeMe or realestate.com.au for some tips guys. You just lost another user.

Needs a lot of work
This app is a bit lacking: — too many properties have no indication of price — vague details about acreage — vague specifications of other property details — all details in paragraph form, with only 3 tabs to categorise anything ... ... if I were to guess, I’d say this app was designed by old school estate agents whom haven’t evolved out of the old mindset of controlling information in order to control the sale, which means they’ll happily burn as much of your time as they need to, in the pursuit of their own interests. Both the Domain.com.au and RealEstate.com.au apps for the Australian market are far better than this one, and even they need vast improvement, so this one is way below what I’d call a minimum design standard.
Remove sold properties
More sold properties need to be removed. It is a waste of time looking into properties that have already been sold (some years ago) still on the site

They have made it too difficult to unsubscribe! They harass my Mailbox with the saved search properties. I have had many attempts to remove my saved searches, no success yet... Kogan has been penalised 300000 due to this! Hope real estate also gets the same ticket

Cannot get search working at all so only shows homes close to where I am.
Good app with some flaws
Great app for looking for properties by area etc. I loved it until it randomly started dropping the properties I'd saved - I miss out on property updates and can't find them as easily.
