Best workouts and variety
You won’t find a better app that offers over 100 4,6,8 and 12 week LEGIT workouts with descriptions videos meal plans and about as many articles on every topic you can think of. Worth EVERY PENNY!
Wtf happened
I have no idea what is going on with payment. Every app I have payment options come up and I choose. Not this one, it’s for some weird way of payment with no option for me to select the card I want. Oh well
Almost Perfect
I LOVE Stoppani’s workouts & how easy the app is to use. My only feedback is that you can’t swap an exercise, machine or equipment for something similar if you need to modify or the equipment isn’t available. I’m a flight attendant and I travel out of the country every week and hotel gyms are wildly different. So I use the workouts but I plug them into an app that lets me adapt the exercises based on equipment or my fitness ability or energy.
Really poor, awful functionality.
Jim Stoppani’s programs and articles are absolutely fantastic. It’s incredibly rare that I would use anything else. UNFORTUNATELY the app really lets this aspect of the business down. It’s clunky, user UNfriendly and crashes. Recent update stops buttons and tabs working. Won’t open featured workouts to add to calendar and once added through the WEBSITE, the app still won’t let me open them to complete them and log info in the gym. Very disappointing. Also, the workouts should be more customisable/editable and able to track rest periods. A feature of creating your own workouts would be cool too. Like the old BB.com app. From a guy who’s business and brand is A1, more time and money needs to go in to this side of things.

I would give 4 or 5 stars, but the app needs to be updated with the most requested features from the Jym Army, like choosing alternative exercises for a program, prefilling rep numbers, including rest pause and drop set sets, and including a cardioacceleration indicator/place. Other than that it is a great app. Worth joining!
Great updates!
First off, I been using this app for roughly 10 years. It provides great results when used correctly and you stick to the programs. Before the updates missed workouts couldn’t be rescheduled, now they can be. The other great update is reviewing the proper way to do the workout. Previously when viewing the demonstration it would take you back to the or ire of your workout. Now it returns you to the last exercise you were completing.

Very good
The app is very good. Divided into different categories and goals. Helps with nutrition/ diet and offers supplements. My two problems with the app are just that it doesn’t offer sports related or athletic workouts from what I saw. Also the interface to swaps isn’t friendly. Because of sports, I want to switch my leg days around, but it’s not simple. Besides that, it’s great app.
Subscription starts on its own after update
Great content from Jim, not questioning that. The fact that I cancelled my sub and it started on its own in June without me knowing, plus yesterday again without me doing anything is alarming. Be very careful.
Clunky app
App is quite difficult to use. The bodybuilding.com version is easier. Many of the descriptions, images and videos missing from the exercise database. Can’t enter decimal points into the weights part of the diary. Programs and information is absolutely amazing just wish the app and database were more complete.
42 yr old back at it
This app starts for beginners to advanced levels of workouts. It’s helped me build my foundation and confidence back in the gym. I am retired from the military but not from the gym with this app!!
App crashes nonstop
If you can manage to log into the app. It does nothing but crash. Needs to be updated badly but isn’t being maintained obviously.
Suboptimal in almost every way
First and foremost great content, but the app leaves much to be desired. Not much of it is especially intuitive or easy to manipulate. My biggest complaint is I’ll log my weights and reps in between sets and when I come back to my phone often the app has crashed and dumped all data not saved. Lesson learned: save data after every exercise is complete.
Change of exercise
Is there a way to switch exercises in plan? My gym does not have few of the equipment required. Would be great if theres a way to know and select alternate exercises
Unstable app as of late
The content of the app is great. The issue is that over the last few months it has been very unstable (eg: mixing up workouts, not saving, not allowing you to log in). These tech issues pull down the quality of the app. I love the workouts and other info, it just seems to be access issues since around September 2021

Too Basic
Too basic. Needs to be more interactive. Especially when paying monthly. Also doesn’t show the correct rep range from the last workout to compare what weight to use this time. And why is it weight x rep previous. Then rep x weight right beside it for current. Shouldn’t the format be the same each side?

Bit difficult to navigate
The app could use an updating. It is a bit difficult to navigate especially when trying to figure out what program to use. The are just listed not telling you what each is for. It records your sets and reps which is nice. Just very basic looking could use a fresh update and feel.

This app is great with tracking workouts. Also the military benefit is amazing.
Not able to delete account
The app does not allow you to delete your account and personal info. Also for some reason the personal information in the app and website are not the same. No option to manage automatic payments either.. thank God I used PayPal
Versatility for wherever you are at on your fitness journey
It has so many different options for routines. So much nutritional information to keep you skyrocketing through your goals! Some minor scheduling bugs, just lags a bit at times.
Average App
Just wanted to start by saying my review is based on the functionality of the app compared to the many others I have tried and NOT the content of it I.e plans. The app is quite average, does not track weights and calculating progress or offer suggested increase. Unable to swap exercises as the equipment will vary fro gym to gym or home gyms. Unable to add your own exercises as above. Given that a lot of the programs have strict rest periods, there are no counting timers with 5 second warning. Finally the look and feel of the app is like something from windows 98, like a glorified spreadsheet. Content is 5* but having to use another app to track the workouts makes me reduce stars.

The best app I’ve used for planning and tracking workouts. I recommend adding a note section on each set or exercise.

Functionality is not as good as the body space app. Need to add decimal for metric, ie: 5.5kg (Can’t input that atm) No rest timers for in between sets.

Almost Perfect
This app is 9/10. I would give it 4.5 stars but that’s not an option. Don’t get me wrong, this is a fantastic app but it could be THE PERFECT app if the developers would take the suggestions of the Jym Army seriously. I cannot imagine it would take a lot of resources to tweak the format to show last weights from same rep ranges, allow autofill weights for workouts (it gets tedious filling the same thing for 10 sets), and a handful of other suggestions. Why settle for good when you can be the GOAT? The supplements and workouts are top shelf, why not the app?
Good bank of information but workout section is weak
I can’t fault the depth of information here, this app, and Jim’s insta page are so informative, I’ve followed Jim for years and will continue to do so. The issue is the workout app itself, it’s clunky and lacks the functionality of other apps. You can’t substitute exercises (eg dumbbell press for bench press where no bench available at your gym) There’s no timer between sets as in other apps All exercises only allow tracking in reps/weight which doesn’t make sense for body weight exercises such as planks Weight history is useful for gauging future sets. What did I do last time? Good stuff but I’m afraid I’ll be cancelling the subscription
The best workouts
This is the most comprehensive app you’ll ever need. The workouts are so varied, the wisdom is beyond anything out there. I’ve been using this app for about 15 years. (Well before it was an app 🤣). Love Doc, Mike and the gang!

I had this app a few months ago and it was a free app. I’m not spending 20$ a month for something I had for free just a few months ago.
Great workouts so many programs
Only thing i would change would be a rep or strength progress chart showing how you have progressed, i don’t see one and why you can’t track your food/macros in the app. Instead of a third party application should be added and at no additional cost, This app should be the whole package.
And Still
Still probably one of the most underrated apps on the Apple platform. Jim’s insights into workout routines, diets, and nutrition is one of the greatest benefits of using the app. It keeps workouts structured but still allows freedom to manipulate them to fit your needs/ goals. If you haven’t tried it then I don’t know what you’re waiting for. With workouts for all levels and equipment this one is a no-brainer.

Waste of money so laggy
Great for everyone of every level
Love the app. I’m not going to give 5 stars because there’s always room for improvement (I’m not tech savvy enough to figure out 4.5 stars). However, for the price, it’s tough to beat. Dozens (maybe more, I haven’t counted) of workouts for beginners through advanced, coupled with nutrition and supplement guides. Also, the workouts can be adjusted for home gyms or big corporate gyms.

I’ve got like 200+ workouts done. My favorite program is definitely shortcut to shred! I recommend this to all my friends
