Sets a standard
I was first with Textfrees parent company app Pinger which suggested TextFree & after 12 days opted into the monthly subscription Both pinger and textfree havent changed.. & they font need to do it better. Not when they’re already the best free or paying text service available for download in the app store today

i like it but why is there no signal even when im connected to wifi or 5g? i even uninstall it and install it and yet still have the problem.
3 stars
Good for texting but so many ads and it takes up way too much storage. Why is it taking up 38 GB of my storage. I didn't even have that many contacts on it.
Whoa
So insanely awesome.. you’d be like there’s a catch .. not here .. super cool
“Text Free” ISNT FREE
ITS LITERALLY CALLED TEXT FREE BRO WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY
Phone line has terrible static
The text messaging and everything else works fine on this app, however when trying to make a call or if I answer a call, no one can barely hear me. They say I sound super far away or static he and it goes in and out really badly. I would only use this phone app for a text line.
Pay to receive codes
You have to upgrade & pay to be able to receive verification codes
Ok
The besth
Nope
Too many ads and I’m not getting my phone calls
Now they change your number
Now they change your number due to “inactivity”. Wanna let us know how often we need to send a text to keep the number???
Horrible call quality
This app is fine for texting but the call quality is HORRIBLE. I wanted to use this as my work number but the call quality is very choppy, you can’t make out what the caller is saying and they also can’t hear you on their end.
Yay!
Works well enough that I got a msg I would have never seen!! Thanks TextNow!
Ridiculous
Could barely use this weak app ads play while you on the phone and sometimes I can’t even answer my calls, update: it still won’t let me answer my calls still ridiculous & now it hangs them up I wouldn’t download this app.
Disappointing
The text free app was good at first. then for whatever reason my account was restricted . However I didn't send any messages make any calls . I mostly just receive messages . Then they wanted me to confirm my location . Which is strange why do I need to confirm my location . I would assume this is another app trying to track you and sell your data to the highest bidder. Because what is the reason for it?. My vpn is needed for my job and I would assume this is what they have a problem with. The only suspicious behavior they see is not being able to track a location. Anyway I would no longer recommend this app. Very disappointed. And if the issue isn't fixed I will take my paid subscription and choose another provider .
Adds!
Well… there is soo many adds and I get so many texts from adds and retailers. I recommend buying the TextFree plus

App has changed a lot. Now you got to pay for most things.
Failed Error 7163
I tried making an account but everytime it says “Request failed with error 7163” idk why it keeps happening but clearly the app has alot of bugs and needs fixing
Very cool program, but it needs less ads!
I feel it so my entire screen is filled up with as every time I use this program other it’s pretty cool that you could use it for free calling, but unfortunately, they have a lot of ads that jam up the program of it!
So good

Glitching
Not showing messages. Will show the notification that I have an unread message but I can’t read the text or see where it is.
This app used to work great
I had subscribed to this app a few times in the past. I had subscribed recently to TextFree and for some reason, I try phoning a contact and the call doesn’t even go through. The calling page shows up, then the page closes and it goes to the list of recent calls/texts. It shows that there was an outgoing call made to the contact though. Unless this is happenening due to something on my part… I checked my settings, everything looks good. Im not to sure what else to do… :/
So-so
The ads are a bit overly intrusive, to the point where I’m wondering if it’s worth it.
Thanks so much
I had a 2nd discounted meal!!
Name is a lie
Asks for you to sign up for a subscription plan as soon as you set up a number. Doesn’t sound “free” to me.
bit static
glad for # but only wifi is great. Lots of ads too
