Great App
Always comes through when wi fi is available
It says Unlimited texting?
It’s say unlimited yet you never get unlimited texting even if you subscribe to their premium
Great app but photo reactions are needed.
I’m happy to leave a positive review because I appreciate the app and the effort that has gone into developing it. However, one feature that really needs improvement is the inability to like or react to photos. It makes conversations feel a little less engaging and interactive. I hope the developers will consider adding this feature in a future update, as it would definitely improve the overall user experience.
Rings, but won't let me answer. Texts, but I can't reply...
With my VPN on, the App rings with calls, but won't let me answer. Then I have to shut off my VPN, restart the app, then call the person back. Just now, with my VPN OFF, I got a text to confirm a doctor's appointment. If I don't confirm, I lose the appointment... Tried restarting the app and confirming the text 4 times, and it just won't let me FOR NO REASON (and that's with me paying the subscription). Also, all that no VPN nonsense is a scam to make us pay for a MORE EXPENSIVE SUBSCRIPTION, that supposedly works with VPNs... All in all pretty useless.
Too expansive
Consistent increase in monthly fees since 2023

Why can’t we send video clips and why does it have to show number when I’m chatting and it supposed to be the name only I might be hiding the number from someone
Issue
It doesn’t open or create an account for me it always tells me there is an issue with my device and I should reinstall the app I do and it still doesn’t work for me
Great app but…
Gets 5 stars if they allow for other payment options.
crashed outta NOWHEREEEE
I’ve been using this app for YEARS,… (literally..) and todayyyy it decided to give me the spinning wheel of death! 😒🥲 Updated it = didn’t work, Deleted & redownloaded the app = still doesn’t work,… Deleted, redownloaded & Reinstalled AGAIN… = STILLLLLL nothing! All my numbers, messages, photos, job applications… GONE 😪
Why I kind of hate it
It says message failed😡😡🤬🤬

Bare minimum
Works, bare mim. Freemium used to feel good but it ‘just works’ now.
Good
It’s really ok when you pay for it: but 2000 messages per month is not enough I guess: and I don’t really like when the number of the people you text showed after you saved their number
Doesn’t work
You can’t send messages in group chats. You can only send few messages to each person everyday. That’s terrible
What happened now?
Was great until some say I cant log jn with my Apple ID. What’s happening and when did that happen? edit: I did send to the email provided, no response.

Undecided
I’m not sure wether this app is more frustrating than it is useful and that’s all there is to say really
Excellent
Why can’t I send pictures anymore
Unable to login
It keeps bringing “Registration Error An unspecified error occurred. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact Talkatone support.” Can you please look into this
Review
So far so good
Tin nhắn thanks Talkatone good
Good
Bad network
I don’t know why it always brings connection problem or download the updated app and there is no updated app on play store
Burn Number.
Love that features
SMS
Why am I paying for a subscription that says unlimited SMS and yet I run out quickly
Static and voice
There is often a faint static on the line. Worst is when I’m a phone call and suddenly everything goes silent. Just tried to set up appointment and after 4 episodes of call turning silent in middle of conversation I gave up.
Good
I love this app let me be able to login on the real app
Sucks
Can’t use text it blocks u from free texts
Better than some others
It’s pretty good but some of the ads are useless. Lately I’ve been getting sex ads which I guess has nothing to do with Textatone but still it’s a bother. Also other ads which aren’t of interest to me. Other than that, I wish the party or person or company I deal with could also call me but Textatone only lets me call and not others call me. If they call, I’m not sure how Textatone deals with it. The person or company may think I’m ignoring them!
Stopped Working
Would’ve been at least 4 stars had it not stopped randomly working. I pay for premium subscription and haven’t been able to send a text in over two weeks which sucks since I’ve had the account for 2 years and can’t get in touch with customers. I contacted support twice; first time they said they restarted my account and fixed it, still didn’t work and second time still haven’t got a response.
why do the calls cut after 15/16 min ?
my calls keep cutting off just before 16min does anyone know how to prevent this? x
Perfect
I’ve been using TalkaTone since around 2016. It is perfect for using when you don’t want to give out your regular service phone number. It keeps you private. Also receives texts flawlessly with no hassles. I recommended it to a couple of ppl who were on hard times and couldn’t afford to keep their regular service active. So instead of dropping off the grid, they used TalkATone. As long as your receiving a wifi signal, you can text make and receive calls and texts. There are ads but not annoyingly enough to make it a deal breaker. You can pay for premium and get more of a regular phone. But if your sown and out or need privacy this is the best phone app to use! I am a human not a bot nor have I been asked to put any type of review paid or unpaid. I’m a real long term user.
No point in getting premium
I have premium and have not been able to send a message for 2 days because it’s saying “message failure”. Nothing is different from having regular TalkATone. I have emailed support and have gotten no response. Don’t waste your time getting this app.
Talkatone
Very good texting app
Uncertain usage policy and little support
It was good for a few years. I send exactly 2 texts a week. However, I started receiving warnings about fair usage policy and suddenly I was prevented from sending. I sent a message to support who responded with a long accusatory message about me over using the service. It said that I couldn’t use it for 24 hours. It has been 2 weeks and support wont give me any further response. I am unable to send anything. I bought credits a while back, but it looks like they will be useless to me.
Re-Fix your app
It’s been working well all this while until this recent update when sending messages will need users to type and send then relaunch the app before the message will be delivered 😩
Thanks 4 this
Thanks 4 this 2.0 #
It’s frustrating
Each time I wanna get a number for WhatsApp verification it keeps showing login not available right now and when it eventually they sends code it’ll show login not available right now again Please fix the bug. It’s quite frustrating
Payment Resolution
I’ve been enjoying the free version and now I want to subscribe to get rid of the ads and keep my number but payment doesn’t go through via App Store. So sad.
Disappointed
I've used this for years, and multiple times I've paid for ad free or unlimited, when I needed it. I was overseas and could not get into my account, and support never responded (6+ weeks now) and they detached my number. Now I can't log in to multiple services that need two factor. Use Fongo if in Canada, if elsewhere use something else. I believe Talkatone is owned by Ooma folks - considering removing Ooma from my family setup as well. Was about to buy annual subscription...oh well...
Why I like this app
This app is good for calling my friends from abroad I’m in the UK it’s a good connection sometimes it cuts off but it’s good one thing they need to add is a Apple Watch version there is parts where it cuts off or even stops working all in all I give it 3 stars!
COO
Working perfectly
Don’t use this app
Service terrible
Wifi
I’d love it more if we didn’t need wifi but it’s a nice app
Only works with people who also use Talkatone
Talkatone is not free or unlimited. The free account has daily limits. Even if you pay for the plus subscription, it still won’t allow you text everyone, only other Talkatone members.

These App is briliant, and has to be make available across around the WORLD.Im sure everybody would like to place Regulars calls from their area using iDevices, not worrying of the area/country they from.I mean whats it worth carrying iPad and iPhone!? People may think of you as a "BRAGG".... I love my iPad,i carry it anywhere i go... But these could help to minimize carrying same gadgets around while one can do all kinds of work Please fix,
Minnie
So far GREAT!!!!!
THEY DELETED 10+ YEARS MESSAGES WITH NO WARNING AND ARE IGNORING CUSTOMERS
UPDATE These are some of the meanest, cold-hearted, rudest people I’ve ever done business with. They deleted OVER 10 YEARS HISTORY of text messages and call history with NO warning and NO remorse. They were sending notices to loose your number AFTER ONLY 30 DAYS of no use that all went to my spam folder. NOTHING IN THE NOTICES EVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT ALSO LOOSING ALL YOUR PHONE CALL LOGS AND TEXTS. Since then I have messaged them multiple times to inquire and they sent 1 brief, incomplete cold response to the first message and have BLATANTLY IGNORED every other message for OVER 2 MONTHS. How rude and nasty and mean????? Genuinely terrible awful people running this business because this kind of disrespectful mistreatment and cold hearted behavior with no remorse seems normalized and like it’s no big deal over there. How many people have they done this to and then just not care???? Shame on you Talkatone leadership and team. Shame on you. Prior Review As of February 2026 they’re now deliberately causing people to be locked out of emails to strong arm buying premium and gave ZERO ADVANCE NOTICE. They just woke up one day and up and decided very basic things like texts from short numbers should cost extra. ??? And they’re claiming it’s an “unknown number” WHICH IS A LIE, because it’s simply a short number NOT unknown. So a ton of people suddenly can’t receive texts like verification codes to get in their email or to know your order is one the way from a store. They’re nickel and diming people and don’t care if they get you locked out your email with ZERO WARNING OR NOTICE. That is so messed up. I mean you have to watch a gazillion ads and they’re wanting to charge a very super basic function like a text message as a premium thing by forcing your hand and getting you locked out your email. Not cool. Very shady strategy.
Bezt app ive ever used
Just was not working for couple years sadly had to pay for a voipMs instead and other apps And i dont think we can receive calls still hope we can receive emails from the calls at least
Texting issue
Why do I get limited number of text everyday. You guys at Talkatone say Talkatone is unlimited text but when I text after a while it tells me I have exceeded my texting for today and I should wait 24hrs before I can text again. Why?
Problem in chat: Pictures
I live your App - it allows me to hook various emails & social networking together in one format I would like to report a bug - using Apple iPhone - when you have sent a picture & you click on it after it was sent - there is not option to go back to TalkaTone messages - you have to terminate the App completely & logon again from the start This is a bit frustrating & I hope a fix will be available soon Rene Gilham SA
