New update
I don’t know why the app has been updated as it’s now pretty useless and not picking up any local rain showers. It’s pouring with rain outside and app shows clear! Bring back the old version that worked.
Pro

Excellent system - very useful.
👏👍 Brilliant system - very clever utilisation of Doppler radar. Many thanks.
Rain Alarm
10 minutes too slow. No good now was brilliant. No point in using it.
Previsió del temps força acertada
Molt bona app , avisa cuant plou i l’encerta força
Poco preciso
Poco preciso
Not as accurate
Used to be more accurate. I now have rain passing by me when its bone dry
Easy to read
Pictorial images that automatically track through on a loop give you go indication of when you are going to get wet .
What is the point?
All it does is show the rain in the past hour, we know what has just gone. We want to know what’s going to happen in the future.
Spam Pop Up Today
Received a spam Pop-up that looked (sort of) like a iPhone screen while using. It said I had 8 viruses and to “click here” on my the screen. I closed the app and deleted it. Sad but had to. Rain App please check your firewall. Thanks.
Widget Doesn’t Work
I downloaded the app and paid for the widget accessory specifically to have the widget on my IPhone SE2020. Widget is empty and only shows 2 dashes in spite of activating background refresh and full time location services. Updated 8/15. Carlos explained how the widget works, which was helpful as I couldn’t find that information in the app. I guess I’m just a little disappointed as my daughter has this app on her Samsung phone and the widget is an umbrella which apparently will open wider as the intensity of the expected rainfall is greater. Was hoping for that but apparently not available on iPhone? Edit 8/29 app loads ads for games where the only option is to download the game. The ad cannot be closed. This is not acceptable.
Glitchy on iOS 26.0.1
I've been using this for years and it's been pretty good. A little slow to load at times but otherwise good. But ever since iOS 26, it's been quitting on startup. It usually loads ok on the second attempt.
Lord Obidos
This is brilliant. You can see rain in true time exactly where it is. Also you can see where it is coming from and where it’s going. Excellent 🚶♂️🐕🦺
Cookies cookies and more cookies
By the time I got half way through rejecting the vendor cookies I’d lost interest and deleted the app.
Mid
It’s good but it keeps screaming alarms at me
Data tracking!
I just had to reject 72 companies that track personal data. There should be a reject all button!
Not Clear…
Site does not clearly state if it will rain at my location….I downloaded this app because I regularly fly flags. Cannot fly flags if it will rain. I need an app that will tell me each morning if there will be rain…
😀
Always gives me the heads up
Totally rubbish app
I downloaded this as my usual rain app is offline. I’ve tried to understand this app but clueless after a week.
Wind speed?
Fairly good app. But should add an option to select wind speed units. Who uses m/s? It should have options for km/h or knots at least.
Adverts obscure the purpose
Used to be good but now the adverts get in the way too much. If you need a Quick Look it’s not possible now.
Good when it works
Half the time the rainfall radar doesn’t load, probably because of all the advertising.
Five Star App
The Pro version of the App does everything I want it to do, and it will probably result in the deletion of two inferior rain radar Apps from my iPhone
Only shows finished weather
What a waste of money, this app doesn’t have radar as says it’s offline and as for a forecast it shows what has happened.
Works decently well ton of ads
It does work and is convenient on the go but it always pushes you out of radar for ads
Not so good
Have used this app for years and used to love it. But just lately, the coverage seems to be getting less and less for much of Europe. Now not even all of Ireland is visible, so can’t see what’s coming to Uk. Is there any hope of this improving or should I look for another app?
Too many ads
Seems to be a great weather radar. Constant adds pop up obscuring your view
Excellent
Excellent , love it !
Scam ads
I have used rain alarm most days for several years and been fairly happy with it until a couple of days ago when a scam ad popped up. It was a malicious advertisement claiming my phone is compromised with a virus and providing links to install dangerous apps. Absolutely dreadful that they don’t vet their ads better
Great when it works!
Great app but fails to show rain too many times to be relied upon.
Noise from ads
Have no problem with ads popping up on the app, but now the annoying sounds from one particular space invader shoot em up game continues when back to the radar view. I know I could mute but what a nuisance.
Fantastic
Very good
Oh no it’s raining
Love this app . So accurate
Rain alarm
Too many requests for feedback.
Great app small issue on Ultra Watch Face
Great app, as a keen cyclist and hiker has saved me on several occasions. Dropped a star as the complication icon on my watch face shows as “error” although if you tap the app works. Purchased the widgets but that didn’t help.
I purchased the full version but…
… please update the app to look nicer and more modern. Get rid of the red pin needle from 15 years ago and make the app feel more quality. Thanks
How do you remove dropped pins on the map?
I can’t find anywhere that tells you how to remove the pins from the map. Very frustrating. Can this not be added in setttings..
I kne Wednesday
New Year’s Eve
Wrong area can’t change it
Don’t really rate this at all
Nice app
Got this for use on my watch and enjoy it, I just wish there were details somewhere that explain the icons.
Good, but lost purchases
This is a really good reliable app for knowing when it’s going to rain. However since the last app I have lost my purchases (to remove ads) and it appears no way to get them back other than paying again. Very disappointed
Not Accurate.
It showed no rain for approx 5 hours. We got all the gear out to do a project in the garden and an hour later it poured down. The app showed it was clear, no rain near us. Can’t trust it, waist of money.
Visualise
The app gives access to what,s really happening with the rain and gives a great indication of what’s coming and when.
Royal Flush
Too much adware makes it unusable
My location marker is obscured by rainfall
Please fix this. I have been using the pro version of this for many years and love it. I have recently switched to the ios version but my location is not visible when it’s under any rainfall for some reason. Makes it difficult to use.
Too many in app purchases
Don’t bother paying to not get ads, you’ll still get plenty. It’s a good radar app. But all the ads are maddening.
Paying for the app reduced its usability for me
Before I paid for the app, I was able to set rain alerts by dropping a pin. After paying for the app, it resets to my current location no matter how often I reset it to alert me for the pin only.
