Love the local news coverage, the entertainment/eats beat and TCU electronic coverage. It’s unsurpassed. Like the national coverage.
Print Edition is a Disgrace
I subscribe to the e-edition of several daily newspapers. The Star-Telegram is horrible compared to the others. Only three days of the week are available in this format. Also, when reading an article that is continued on another page you have to go page by page to get to it. I will not renew when my subscription expires.
Need updating!
Good paper! Would like to see the print edition daily. Challenging to navigate in between the articles. Also, the comics need to be updated to include Family Circus, Peanuts, Blondie and Beetle Bailey.
New App has ruined the E Print
The new app is horrific. It’s all about getting you to mess up so they can bombard you with ads. I plan to cancel my subscription once the TCU football season ends……can’t stand the glitchy new format.

All stories do not load while scrolling through the articles. I expect to only access half the articles seamlessly. Time is too short to mess with this. Please fix it.

Doesn't Work
The latest version of the app as of 8/7/23 does not work at all. You click on an article and it is immediately closed. I'm going to cancel my ridiculously expensive subscription if it's not fixed.

App is awful
The app is frozen on Tuesday and will not advance. I hate this. And when I called for Digital access. It was somebody in India, or someplace like that and he was not helpful because he could not see what I was seeing.
Could be better.
Sometimes the pages freeze, sometimes the next story you click on ends up opening a browser window instead of in the app, so you need to login again on the browser, and then if you close the browser window, yet another link to an article takes you back to the browser window again, then you log into the browser window again. Also, it doesn't remember what text size you chose, probably something to do with the articles opening outside the app in a browser window And the content could be better- not a lot of hard stories, it’s mostly click bait articles, inflammatory opinion pieces and crime porn. They used to have a problem renewing monthly subscriptions - I would always be told my subscription expired every new billing period, but I think they fixed that.
Poor service
I have an online subscription to the Star Telegram that I just renewed for $160 a year. For that, I expect to be able to connect with the online ap. Several times a week, my ap will not bring up the paper. I can go to my email and get the edition, but that comes with distracting ads and other content. Usually and eventually, the online ap will begin to work about two or three hours after I first attempt it. BUT I like to read the paper at breakfast! Frustrating!

Won’t download.when I go to download app, it takes me back to install now

After a reinstall of the app performance is greatly improved. Still has occasional problems with emailed links behind paywall. App opens link but doesn’t recognize valid subscription.
Day-old Sports
I would think that a digital edition of a newspaper should be able to give up-to-date results of games played the night before. It can’t be that hard to do. Come on, Star Telegram, get yourself together!
New version won’t work on iPad!
Works fine on iPhone. Will open only once on iPad. I have to delete the app and reinstall to read next time. Also will freeze if iPad times out. My version is : 14.7.1
Tremendous from my go-to hometown news source
Love the new app, the new logo and the clean, customizable content pages. Everything loads swimmingly. Looks great on my iPhone and iPad. Home run, FWST!
Update
Your new update is awful. Will not open. If try to open it keeps going back to page that says update. I can’t even get into edition because it will not open anything. Go back to the old way.
No search function makes it kind of useless
Good app for just browsing, it the lack of any search function makes it useless for zeroing in on topics of interest.
The “New” Newspaper
If you are looking for the old news paper you are out of touch but this new way of reading the paper is really easy and accessible. Features like want ads are pretty much a thing of the past but here you get instant updates where in print you would have to wait for tomorrow’s edition. Really enjoy the Beta version.
New update
New update 3/326 requires a 17.0 operating system. People with older iPads can no longer get the paper. Terrible! Are y’all selling iPads now!
Page stuck will not open
For the week my app is stuck on one page and will not close!!!! Why???? Called for help but tech support does not know!

Used to work, now it doesn’t
Newspaper opens but majority of articles do not open when you swipe to next page. You get the circling star in middle of page. Going to Content bubble for next article doesn’t load either. Reloading daily paper doesn’t improve article loading. Letting it sit on circling star doesn’t retrieve article to be loaded. I can read fewer articles now than I used to with paper edition
Not a good app
Very poor app. It never loads properly and it’s impossible to refresh in order to “fetch” stories.
New version very bug filled
The so called improved version E-edition is terrible. Frequent crashes, blurred text, ad at bottom blocks the page, pages are slow loading due to ad at bottom, frequent errors saying page won’t load, when exiting the e edition it no longer return to where you left off like the older version. You messed it up bad this time, Star Telegram. Please fix the bugs. Reading the E edition is a laborious and frustrating activity now. Addendum After fixing the above issues it worked well but a major issue has returned. Tapping on a story results in a spinning wheel and no story loads. Calling the paper was of no help as their only suggestion was to delete the app and reinstall it, which didn’t work.

Every update to the app makes it more and more complicated to just read the da** paper!
Trash
This app has turned to garbage! It keeps asking me to login or subscribe when I am already logged in and I have a recurring subscription through Apple. Canceled the subscription today!
New format
I DO NOT like the new format. I am going to cancel my subscription!!
