What people like
- Local weather updates are reliable
- Weather team feels trustworthy and good
- Radar features work well for storms
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Radar map is too dark now
- App crashes and loads slowly
Not in Kentucky
I download this app told me about in Kentucky. It works really great here in Dallas, Texas with the weather for the local weather. Thank you so much.
Newer always ain’t better
I like the features of the odor app better, it allowed for you to view past and future radars together. It showed the motion of the storm slower to give you a better idea of the dangers to your location The older version of the app allowed you to see the potential health threat even
Compliments
I am a big fan of the WYMT team especially miss Paige and the entire weather team they all should have a raise I think WYMT would be crazy to let them go
No one wants alerts for the entire state constantly
As the title says, I don’t want alerts for the entire state, every time it rains. I want alerts for my area/county, not everywhere. This was changed recently and there is no where in the settings to revert this change.
Great coverage
This app is better then the Weather Channel app. Much better radar here and I like the follow me feature, so when I travel nice seeing what is happening where I am at!!!
Love our local News and Weatherman
Brandon Robinson and Steve Hensley are great at their job keeping us updated on local news and up-to-date weather forecasts. I have the app so I can always check in anytime. Keep up the great work, WYMT!
Tornado warning
Before you would even let us know anything you had to have a commercial. You need to be a little better prepared. You can’t find nothing. Nothing’s working over there on your electronics. And every time you send out a weather alert or update as soon as I click on it another advertisement for a cardiologist, and you can’t even find the weather
Good app
The best weather app I could find for ky but I must ask can u tone down the watches and warnings on the map so that we can actually see the storm cells
Ads are too long.
I don’t like sitting thru the lengthy ad to get my weather.
Not working right
I’ve been using this app for years and I love but here lately something is going on with the follow me feature. It doesn’t work. I have to put it ob what every city I’m in. Sometimes I don’t pay any attention when I get on and notice the weather is way different than what the tv or radio says. When it like that it doesn’t tell you your location at the top of the page. That’s when I realize I have to manually switch it to my location (City). That aggravating.
Review
WYMT keeps me informed of weather in my area by seeing updates on my phone.
Weather
Need work not right shows no rain and it raining in Barbourville
Find a different app
Too many ads and app closes when you try to access the radar option a lot of times
Ads
Love the app but with the video updates I literally have to watch 5 ads before I can watch the video and 90% of the time the video won’t work
Thank you
Thank you for always sharing the weather report. I am a fan of the app and I always keep up with the weather and always thankful for the severe weather updates.
Fix your app
Do not recommend. You have to reset the app multiple times before any functions work
.
Why are the weather videos not updated? Thank you.
Brandon
Love the way we are kept up to date on the hour! Keep up the good work men!
Website
Very slow to load I’ve never seen one so slow Any other website is better than this one when I need to know right away
Almost
I would give this app five stars if they would fix s bug, the app keeps saying that I'm in Walkertown and setting that as my default forecast. Fix that and it's a great app.
Good job
Good job
App won’t open!!!
Since the last update I can’t even open the app! Please fix this problem. With winter coming upon us this is the way I keep up with my grandson’s school closings!! Also, the only way I keep up with any other news!
Reliable app
Many well working functions & features on this app to keep you informed of the weather along with alerts & weather forecast videos. I especially like the different functions of the radar.
That it scares the crap out of you
It scares the crap out of you
Thanks WYMT!
I've lived in eastern Kentucky all my life. I love WYMT, because I can get updates on the weather and news stories that are close to home.
They never predict snow right
They say we’ll get a foot when we get an inch
Please bring back the old app!
I hate hate hate this new interface. The old app was so much easier to look at. After the update I’m thinking about removing the app.
Use to be ok
App changed looks around 1st week of June and now the map is very dark with less detail and storm warnings are in red like tornado warnings. It’s a total mess when when a big storm system hits. It’s really not worth the space it takes up on your phone now. I tried wsaz and it was the same.
Wymt
Love the updates done it’s awesome now easier to send photos an videos 👍😎
