Love it!
I used to read the actual paper and loved it! Haven’t done it for years and then saw this. Subscribed right away and was nostalgic and happy surprised for how much I loved it and sat for 30 minutes without even realizing it as I sat and read through sections and stories. Happy to be back!
Stop forcing updates
There is zero reason to force me to update, constantly. It’s annoying AF.

I have spent years trying to customize the type of articles I wish to receive and those I do not waste my time on. The Denver Post seems unconcerned or arrogantly dismissive of my several requests did not waste my life trying to blow past articles I have absolutely no interest in e.g. sports.
Not a great app
This is one of the only apps that doesn’t open when I click a link from my news aggregator. It also keeps the same stories up for months. Requires immediate updates even when you can’t be on WiFi rendering it useless. Please improve post!

Current Version pops up videos/ads repeatedly
The current version as of 8/2024 pops up videos and ads repeatedly as you try to read any articles, making it borderline unusable.
Forced updates… WHY?!
Not that I even expect a response vacate why change now and actually address reviewers comments. When you do they’re just standard slop months delayed. Do better of fire whomever is not doing their job... You released a new update 4 days ago with minor fixes/changes and we’re forced to update? That’s honestly ridiculous. Force for serious issues like compromised security but a new game? Come on… Oh! Can you maybe FINALLY fix the logon process and securely store device login credentials & use the appropriate saved passkeys? It’s insane that you also force a new ligin with each and every launch. Are you stuck in the 90’s guys? Do any of us really remember which apps (of dozens and dozens) we’re using email, Google, Apple etc. to login with? That’s a big fat NO. Make it seamless!

Great Local Content
I love the way we have local journalism still. I thought they would be gutted by now after they were acquired but the Post is still rockin and rollin. If you love local sports it’s a must have app.
Links Not Opening
I click on a link and it only goes to the homepage. This is a recent development.
True improvement
The old app was borderline unusable. Many, many improvements here, especially the fact that it doesn’t constantly reset my reading position to the beginning. One minor issue is I need more ability to customize the front page. I don’t want to see 30 photo galleries in that main tab every time. Let me put other sections there or something.
Only app that never remembers log in
Awful. I can’t ever read the paper w out logging in each time
Horizontal
Why can’t they make a version for this app that I can use the app horizontally with my wireless keyboard? It’s so annoying I have take my whole iPad off the case and turn it to read the app. Yes I am Denver Post subscription member too!

It’s too bad about the Denver post. This used to be a great news source for Coloradans. Low quality, no depth and low volume. Apple doesn’t allow zero stars

Bad Nrws for Disabilitied Readers
I am confused by your digital fisplay and very disappointed. I am visually impaired and used to enjoy articles which were converted to audio that no longer appears available. In addition the print cannot be enlarged with index and thimb which males a magnifying glass necessary but very cumbersome. I would gladly subscribe otherwise.
Ads
I’m still seeing ads in the app even though I pay for the ad-free digital edition. Content and app are otherwise fine.

Waste of Money
I'm not sure what my $14.99/month gets me, I can’t use any features outside of the app. Even then, those don't always work and it tries to get me to pay more money. Pretty lame.
Horrible App!
The Denver Post App is horrible! The news feed is three-days old and will not update daily like the other papers I subscribe to. The sports section seems to be up to date daily, but not the news section!
How many times a week are you “updating” the app?!?
I’m a paying subscriber and over the past month I’ve frequently found I can’t access the app at all b/c Denver Post INSISTS I update the app. I’ve updated twice this month and again it’s blocking me and demanding another update. Look, I’ll update an app infrequently unless that app has sensitive, personal, or financial info in it. There’s no possible way these REQUIRED updates are necessary for my security- your devs just like limiting users’ abilities unless we let you be controlling like this. It’s a nuisance and there’s nothing in it for me. Based on other reviews, it sounds like yodoing this in order to serve me ads — even though I’m a paying subscriber. Nasty.
Landscape Orientation
Prefer the landscape orientation on my IPad Pro, with keyboard. Portrait is a pain.

Who thought this was a good idea?
Good
This is a Good app for a local paper. Good for following the Broncos from Canada. Wouldn't mind more Broncos coverage. But then I guess I have the Broncos app for that.
Can’t read without constant interruption
I paid for a subscription yet I can’t get through an article without several consistent interruptions from ads. The app has been constantly glitching making it impossible to skip a video that starts without selecting it. Specifically videos on the story itself.
Frustrating
I subscribe to the app DP. While reading an article, there are links to associated subject matter. These apparently go to the web, now demanding you to sign in as a subscriber. Ridiculous, if Im in the app digesting content, a person should not have to prove that they are a subscriber. Thanks
The new update is amazing!
The app has improved by leaps and bounds. Much more user friendly and accessible. Really impressed with the changes.
Nothing but Ads
I have been a Post subscriber for 40+ years but this last version by the Developer is so focused on forcing me to see their ads I am DONE
Worth reading if only for Comics Section
For an overseas reader, the news articles on what's happening in the World or even nationally in the USA, are a bit limiting. Apart from that, well worth having.

Love the content but do not love the new app
Each time I try to read a story, a video summary of recent news appears. I x out of it only for it to pop up again a second later. It prevents me from being able to read the text at all and renders the app nearly useless.

Fix the landscape feature
Why would you remove the Landscape feature? I read on my iPad in Landscape mode. I Do not want to turn just for this app. Please fix!

Have to go through complex log in every time
I can access the NYT and WaPo seamlessly but never the DP. Makes me want to cancel. So very frustrating.
Old version of app was better
I preferred the version of the app previous to this. The main complaint is the weather section isn't as comprehensive. I liked the 14 day, extended forecast, even though it was a little inaccurate at times. Other than that, the app is good.
No Landscape
Why the change to no Landscape mode. I prefer that on my iPad. Time to change news sources!

I guess the Denver Post assumes everyone only uses a phone to read the paper? I read pretty much all publications on my iPad in landscape mode. The app is useless to me now.
