Brilliant work I’m a person who HAS A BAD History with Dentist’s That have caused me to have many issues with my Mental Health related to particular procedure’s Over the Year’s But my Last surgeon 👍 🙏 Thank you NIB

Good app. Private health companies seem to be wrecking the health system though
Misleading joining info
NIB did not disclose that I would be disadvantaged in payment claims if I did not use one of their preferred providers when I changed to their health insurance. So I get ripped off for using the great dentist I have been using for 25 years. NIB puts their profits before continuity of care for its members.
App is not useful
There are 4 people in our family and we cannot see balances individually. No number is displayed against the family member so you know what number follows the account no. Family members don’t have an individual account

I selected Enter now several times and got the nib app to download, where’s the comp for L.E ?
Why I stay with Nib
Despite offers for better deals I’ve found nib delivers seamlessly over the years. If it ain’t broke don’t fix itt.

DENTAL
I understand you may need to change things but the information provided didn't say how the dental cover was changing The reason I choose NIB was because I understood what I'd receive back when claiming now I have no idea the message didnt provide any clear information it was just telling me to go to your choice of dentist Which is abit of bully tactics I probably will not leave as I'm happy but a better worded notification would've been a good idea explaining just what I would get back if I did not change my dentist 🤨

This cover is a waste of money

Not over impressed so far with my cover received after switching from Ahm for 5yrs , only managed to get x1 payment / claim put through, rejected the rest of my claims , something I’m not used to with Ahm , now considering why did I change if this is the level of service I can expect going forward.
Great Switch
Switching from BUPA to NIB was the best move we made as a family, we get the same cover benefits at a much lower price.
Didn’t deliver on extras
App says I have $150 left for remedial massage and NIB only gave me $6. Poor show. Now trying to ring them and they have shut for the day at 4.30 SA time. Poor show again. Usually they have been good but this experience is annoying.

Ambulance cover
Be aware, whilst NIB listed my cover as 100% for ambulance, this it not the case, read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page! Be aware not as one may expect from NIB top cover .
Best Health Fund
I was in NIB years ago when I lived in the Hunter Valley I then moved to the NT & my partner was in another fund. We now live in QLD & i had a call to compare & decided to go with NIB again .Very Happy thank you .

I hate the fact that even tho in my seventies, NIB still forces me to pay for AnteNatal cover! IT IS VILE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST SENIORS!
Beware potential endless login loop
After previously using the app successfully, recently had massive problems logging in despite providing email address and login code, stuck in a ridiculous loop that provided no clue of what was going wrong nor gave anywhere to lodge the problem for support to fix it. Wasted several hours over several weeks trying to troubleshoot. In the end I had to ignore the prepopulated email address I have used with the app in the past (to which NIB sends emails suggesting I book an appointment, with a Book Now button) and tried another email address. I guess at some point I updated my preferred contact email with NIB and the app couldn’t handle that properly (or communicate that it wanted a different email)? Even though NIB know both email addresses belong to me and they communicate to both?

Super easy to use. Able to check if any medical procedures or hospitals are covered on the app easily. Changing details and checking coverage is also easy. Overall and good app that is easy to use and intuitive.
Fix the app
Every time I login, I'm required to sign in in full again and am asked to set up Face ID and PIN as if it's the first time. I use this regularly and this is so annoying. The banks have worked out how to do this so why can't you guys?

NIB is just like the rest of the health insurance companies out there… I’ve been with this insurance company for over 22 years…you pay a ton of money monthly to cover your family and get very little in return… so sick of being treated like this. They just keep taking, taking , taking…
