best comic app for many years
I purchased this app when I got my first iPhone 4, and now it’s still working on my iPhone 16! Fantastic works! Thanks bro!
Google drive
iOS26.6.1です。
Great app
How to increase pre cache, Only 1 page is not enough
Good Reader!! But I can’t use BT Remote Controller.

Best comic book reader app
It does one job and does it well - displaycbr, cbz, pdf, and other formats in an easy to use interface. Provides multiple options to easily get comics to your device. I tried all the others and none compare to this one.
Works perfect on iPad but not on mac
It's kinda sad that I cannot use this wonderful app on Mac. Nothing just shows up when I open it. I am hoping some day it can be fixed, so that I can use it on my mac too
Crashing when reading from SMB
Especially when it is solid archive.
Download Chinese comic
Hello，comicglass‘ father，could please tell how to download comic in Chinese。
Please add JPEG XL support
JPEG XL/JXL saves a lot of space and supports lossless transcoding of JPEG files, so it's very ideal for archiving comics, please add support. iOS/iPadOS/macOS all have added built-in support for JXL for some time, so it should be very easy to enable support in your app. Thanks.
Great app, but could use a Files update
Love this app, have used it for years and I can’t recommend it enough. However, I do think this could be an even better app if they added the ability to access your Apple Files folder to download your files from there.
Cannot sign in to Google Drive anymore
It says the app needs to be verified
Need ePub
If possible, will you please add ePub .
Simply Fell Behind
This app was critically acclaimed several years ago, around 2014. Having the features ComicGlass seemingly suggests back in 2014 would have made it a killer app, and it has. Now most of the features are completely broken, and I’m afraid the dev is no longer interested in maintaining the app alive. One of the notable feature that is no longer stable is its network-related streaming and downloading feature. Back in 2014, iTunes was still strong; and most files would have been transferred over wires. In 2020, we expect our wireless network to handle most of troublesome background works, and we have made our preferences to streaming, instead of downloading. Now, does ComicGlass pull through? No. WebDAV is a mess; it crashes constantly. Its server side app also crashes constantly. No need to mention SMB or FTP. Moreover, server side app was not necessary to make in the first place; Mac has been supporting SMB for quite a time. What this app needs is maintenance. Most apps of this caliber would have made a paid-upgrade version or subscription-like payments to keep the project afloat. Seeing how there has never been one mentioned, –perhaps Japanese dev website has some info on the matter– I can only imagine this app was simply thrown off the bus.
problem
The app stop working. Also, would like this to have a better preview page for PDF and regular archive files.
Is .epub no longer supported?
I have been using this app for many years and it worked great on my iPad mini. I recently got a new iPad and downloaded the newer version of this app and found out that I could no longer read files with .epub extension. It was perfectly fine on my old iPad mini with the older version of the app. It is still the best comic reader though, I will be more than happy to give a five star when it is fixed.
this is the best!!!
I still using this app with iPad 1. I guarantee this app is best.
Why can’t download from google drive?
It is not working.
Great app
Great app for comics and manga but recently when I try to go from vertical to horizontal mode or vice versa the page becomes blank and I have to close the file and open it again to see it at different mode. Please fix that

Best Comic Reader out there!
As I said in the title, this is the best comic reader out there. I’ve owned it for years, and the developer still makes updates in Japan for new devices and form factors. I literally use this app every day! A++++ work. I never write reviews and was inspired to write one for this. Thanks for your hard work!
Cannot open rar file from safari any more?
Lost the button to open rar file from safari?
Great comic reading app
Simple to use and of the 2 comic readers I use, this app can load up not only cbr and cbz files but it can load and unpack zip, rar and ace files too!
Stagnant development, no longer the best
Several years ago Comicglass was basically the only choice for network and downloaded comic reading but now ComicShare has surpassed it in every conceivable way. The main areas the Comicglass lags behind is the while "streaming" comics from the network, there is lots of waiting during page turns. While ComicShare caches a several pages ahead so it's a much smoother reading experience. The interface is lacking, especially while server browsing where it doesn't show cover art. There are no fancy animation options for changing pages. Comicshare has both coverart for remote files and page turn animations. It works, but with core features put behind IAP and even then it does it worse than the alternative. I urge everyone to look into other options before going with this.
Please adding vertical seamless view please！
hello I have been using this for 3 years it is the best app for comic but I really would like it add vertical seamless view since a lot other app has supported and it is great for some comic as well
Media servercrashes app

Problem with Google Drive
Recently, ComicGlass cannot login to Google Drive. Expecting an update for fix.
Crashes
I can't open any folder !
(Still #1!)
I bought this app 5 years ago and it’s still getting fixes and updates for new hardware without any additional requests for money. That alone makes this app worth buying. It also also has a feature I believe is still unique - it supports using a local server (including a simple PC file share) to stream your content from a single location. So you can store your collection on a device with lots of storage and not have to fill up your mobile device. This is brilliant!
Found a new system bug!
When using katakana as file name, file can not open!!!
I have one problem.
I usually read comicbooks without split page view option in height mode and I prefer turning page by tapping. but tapping functions only as view other side of the page or go to the next page, not both. I don't like swipe to view next page because it's bothersome. Can I view whole page(one side to other side) and next page only by tapping?? (only tapping one spot) Can you help with my problem?

This is comic viewer
This does what it does Very good
This version has a severe bug.
In a situation that I use ftp protocol and non-unicode charset file list, if you choose "sort by name", this app will be crashed.
good reader
one of best comic reader!
Used to be great, now crashes all the time
This was the best comic reader on the App Store until recent updates made it incredibly crash-prone. One of the best things about comic glass is the fact that it works with SMB or WebDAV to download comics from your shared drive. No more. Every time I start a download it crashes halfway through. It's been this way for the last 3 updates and I'm starting to lose hope.
This version crashes on iOS9
When you open a folder, it crashes.
