German News in the US
I read ntv news every single day. I am German by birth, a naturalized US citizen, and want to know what is going on in Germany and Europe. There are seldom news and worthy news about Germany in this country. If news reports about Europe, then they are almost always about France or Italy. So I enjoy the vast international reporting, though a bit too much sports for my taste. But overall, it is a great service to be able to read what is going on 'at home'. I especially enjoy Schmollecke. Wilduweit, Vip Vip Hurra and would love to read more of that. Thank you for that. Gabriele
App distributes phishing and abusive links through its advertisements
this app is not useable, since weeks an advertisement jumps up when the app is opened telling that one needs to repair it and get an anti whatever software. Unbelievable and dangerous
Werbung
Still the best
Best news app and a good international reference for balancing all these biased news in the US at the left the right and ultra right.
Too much ads
1 Min video, 30sec advertisement.
Ntv

Solid news flash
I always can get quick up to date world news! Short and to the point!
Latest update crashes (iOS)
Used to love this app and used it daily. But the latest update crashes immediately all the time. Another deficiency is that videos don’t play outside of Germany. Why is this available in any other news app up but not here?
Werbung Hornbach
Something has changed
Since a few weeks, around Feb. 2026, the app has changed its behavior. It’s still useable, but it hangs often sometimes for several seconds and doesn’t react to user input(swipe or tap). It also affects other apps when closed and has to be removed from the background by swiping up. I’m not sure what the bug is related to, maybe wifi speed, but I am hoping that the error will be removed in a future version. This problem is on iPhone SE 2nd gen.
Excellent
I used this for many years and I never write any reviews but I have to give my approval to this one.
SW Bugs
Big fan of the NTV and I read it since years. The new version is not workable, break completely down after few secs. I updated the App and my iphone already - that is not the issue. All other news apps work properly. Plse fix it, otherwise u lost me - naturally
Livestream doesn’t work anymore
I’m based in the UK and enjoyed keeping up with the news while watching a livestream everyday. With the latest update that’s not possible anymore - very inconvenient as this was the main reason I used the app.
Relatively good layout of news site but app tends to crash
The layout of the news site is quite nice but the app tends to crash frequently. Also , it is littered wit pop up ads that are often difficult to close without restarting the app. Pictures move around constantly making it difficult to navigate. Several of n-tv‘s reporters should take a refresher in German grammar. It is remarkable how often the words ‚das‘ and ‚dass‘ are confused.
3-12-2023 - APP not working!
- N-TV does not load down and cannot be opened!
Unusable as of advertising
I was using this app on a daily basis for the last 8 years getting news from home. Previously an advertising was closing automatically as I restarted the app. I was also giving an ability to simply close then advertising by clicking on a cross sign. Now, the advertising is showing up permanently, and I have to interact with it. NTV, I‘m afraid I have to quit on you as I can‘t use it anymore!
Would be better, if one could also watch the videos when living abroad
Ntv
Zu Lange und zuofte eigenreklame
Crashes stets und staendig...
...und Werbung Werbung Werbung
App ruckelt beim Scrollen
Excellent
Excellent. Keeps you up to date with what is happening in Germany.
Wrong information
Pretty sad that a news channel who claims to be “seriös” reports wrong facts about issues going on with US politics and election
Sehr gut!
Super Inhalt - letztes Update schrecklich!
Schade
