Favorite UI of any reader. Would be nice to have more features
Perhaps I’ll get the paid version at some point, but the UI and the layout of the books that I am reading right now are perfect
Enabling iCloud sync will result in immediate and irreversible file deletion
I backup the file before turn on the sycn yet it recover nothing
CH Mate custom fonts
iOS 14.5 update is blocking custom fonts in CH Mate app. How we can fix this problem. Please update the app. Thanks

Love this for medical books
Update the app for Ios12. Crashes when search used for entire book
My favorite app for EPUB documents
After posting a problem I was having, the Developer quickly responded. The problem was solved and now I’m happily loving this app again.
Pay Again?
I've bought the full version years ago, and now they ask to pay again and I cannot restore the full version
Problem after ios9
Seems like highlight has a problem now allowing only 1 color. I like the program but seems like needs some updates for new iOS.
It Won’t Save Any Notes You Make
This app. needs to be updated and bugs fixed. You can no longer make a note on something and have it save your note. Until this gets fixed, the app. isn’t worth the time and money.
Update broke index
Can no longer expand index lines, only all lines at once, whereas clicking on an index line opens a document page instead of expanding into index subheadings. I'm not on iOS9 since my iPhone 5 isn't supposed to work well yet with the update. UPDATE: the pro ver$ion has the same bug.
ios上少有的chm格式阅览器
ios上少有的chm格式阅览器
Crashes on search after new iOS update
Cannot search any CHM filed without the app crashing.
Good
But only limited file storage. Kindly provide more space.
Ok, but expensive for what it is.
The in-app purchase is a little steep, for the functionality benefit.
Crashes a lot after recent updates
It was my best app but after recent updates, it ruined every thing. After " search the whole document " it crashes At the opening it expand all the document The pictures are half dark ..... 😡
Good app.. Could be improved..
It’s a great app, especially when dealing with .chm files. Runs very smoothly on both iPhone and iPad. Some improvements could be done: especially more colour themes such as Sepia (cool for the eyes) and collection views of books (cover page display instead of title of the book and author’s name).
I lost my money!
It doesn't work. The application opens and closes immediately. Dishonest seller! You should be banned from the iTunes store.
Pretty good
I do like it.
Limited World Language Support
I got the app mainly to read a book that is in Arabic and English text, published in .chm format as all attempts to convert it into ePub and preserve the chapter formatting failed. The book loaded up without any problems and chapter formatting is the same as when viewed on the pc, but the but the Arabic text doesn't show, only the English translation. What shows up is a jumble of Russian alphabet wherever there is a quote in Arabic. Other than that, it's a good app for being able to read your .chm files.
Then don't ask
If you don't feel comfortable asking for reviews, then don't ask.
Works for chm
I read large chm manuals and it displays them well. Plus it is free. Thanks for making it.
Useless
On iPad Pro, CHMate will not open anything I tried, either from iCloud or Dropbox, PDF or ePub; and it also crashed. Promptly deleting.
Whim
Messes up with first line spacing. Wish there was an option to set it..
Не совсем работает
Нормально открывает лишь первую страницу файла .chm! Оглавление на русском показывает кракозябрами и не переходит на другие страницы при нажатии на любой пункт оглавления. Problem with Russian text encoding in "Contents" menu! Fix bugs please!!!
Need improvement, but still OK
This app is the only one that allows you to highlight CHM files, and does its job! I believe there are many things to improve to deserve 6.99$, honestly it's not worth that amount with its current state. My advice for a better app: a better and more useful interface, delete all option for highlights, include chapter headings when emailing the highlights, taking note option,.
Mamun
It's really the best at job. It's probably can do anything,at least from my point of view.
Crashes
I paid to get the premium version but haven't been able to use the app since the last update. Every time I try to search something the app crashes. Very frustrating.
Nice Applications
With the help of CHMate, I can read chm format which is the most useful format in medical books.I love it!
Bookmarks and notes wont work
The bookmarks and notes stopped working after recent update. The app closes down if you click on bookmarks. Cannot access my previous notes as well. Please fix it in the next update
Icloud sync
Waiting for icloud sync between devices to get highlights and bookmarks getting synced ober devices
Tried all the free ones, this is my favorite
I read for work, so I needed something that was pretty solid & easy. We are lucky their are a few options. This is by far my favorite. No ads, easy to use. I am considering buying now.
Lots of issues
Cloud sync totally doesn't work. File names are shown but error says file does not exist on device. Table of content still doesn't work on many files, shows empty gray windows. Other free app by other vendor in store works better.
Only one like this
I'm in medical school and I have a lot of .chm files. I've tried the other .chm readers. Seriously, this app is as good as it gets.
Can't highlight
Can't highlight ever since I updated my iPad 3 to iOS7; otherwise, works fine. Please fix!
Good but some issues
Nice UI but there is an issue with bookmarks moving location within the file. Would be great if an update could fix this
Suggestions
Need support iPad pro Resolution and iOS multi-window
Too many bugs!
Can't add file from any app... Give it zero star if I can.
Many files are not being opened
Many chm files are not opened by newer version. The page goes blank for an indefinite period of time. I have to restart iPad after each such episode. Pl fix this soon.
Other formats not support
A very handy software. Could you please add pdf support as well?
Swift
This app can work greatly, using it more than a year now, so far, very sarisfied..
Crashes!!!!
Can't open the app!!!
Highlighting (almost fixed!)
The latest update fixed the "fail to highlight" error in ONE of my ebooks (I have two ebooks which have problems in highlighting, other ebooks have no errors) which is absolutely great! :) however, in my other ebook, it's still the same: I am able to highlight, but when I go to another chapter, the highlighted marks from the previous chapter are still there! It's very frustrating, since I rely on these highlights for quick reviewing as my board exam approaches. Please fix this! This is the first app that I've ever bought and I don't want to regret it. Thank you! Will wait for the next update re this.
Crash on search
Gud app concept ....lik it but ,it crashes on searching some thing on it ...hope the developers fix this bug ...
Features
It displays documents well but lacks the features which make it easy to pick up for a few minutes, here and there. It does not remember your place and there is no book mark function that I can see.
Great customer support
I've had this app for a few weeks and it's done everything I've wanted. I also found a bug, it was addressed and fixed within the same day! Thank you
Crashes.
Good app but crashes when tap-hold for book marking.
Useful for chm files
Works very well for a free app
Good for reading - bad for annotations
As a basic reader it serves its purpose well. Unfortunately the highlighting and annotations are terribly broken, and either randomly stop working or just crash the app. Sometimes they are not saved between application runs either.
Good
A really good chm reader, though most recent update crashes every time 'extra text formatting' is enabled.
