Best alarm ever
This alarm barely woke me up and put me in a light sleep when it reached 6am I woke me up calmly so I woke up. ( ⸍ɞ̴̶̷ ·̫ ɞ̴̶̷⸌ 🫶)
Not happy
This app does not do anything that anybody says it does. At least not on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I’ve had this for about a year and it’s still nothing but straight line on the sleep graph.
Needs option to hide sleep data
Love the app. I use it for the alarm clock functionality, waking me up in the lightest part of my sleep cycle in the morning. What I find very stressful is, upon waking and turning off the alarm, immediately seeing a page of my sleep data. Could the app please be adjusted so that there is a “data lite” version / “alarm only” interface, for those of us who are anxious about our sleep? (With the option to unearth the sleep data IF we want it?)
Should be free
Went from owning to needing a subscription while they find new ways to make money off our data. Customers get asked for more input to feed profit margins. Tiring

Unsatisfied
If you want to try this app and utilize the free trial option, be careful of the automatic payment at the end of the trial. If you look in all the places it points you to, in order to cancel the subscription, it will be next to impossible to find the correct option to cancel on time. When you think that you’ve already canceled it because there’s no indication that your current subscription is active, and you decide to leave it alone, they will take money out of your account regardless of the lack of clarity. Besides sharing links to web pages that don’t give much information for what you’re looking for, there’s no obvious protocol to making sure your subscription is cancelled. Enjoy losing 69.99 if you aren’t all in for this product.
Recent loading problems
Loved the app and it’s been my main alarm since 2018. Recently the app refuses to load after opening. Even after updates. Very frustrating
Poor analysis
The apps algorithm is a joke. I get the same level “high” whether I cough slightly four times a night or have bronchitis and literally cough all night long.
Best app ever
Update: it used to be the best app ever. But since they’ve decided to make more money out of users it’s become annoying. All the pop ups disrupt smooth usage of the app. Then the new dynamic of upgrading to whatever the next level is after having a premium account, I tried it cause I wanted to hear the environmental noise. Which we used to hear in my premium account. And it was a farce. You can’t hear anything, it just provides amplitude lines which is useless. I still use it daily, the app is great, but why did you need to try to squeeze more money out of users? Old review: Honestly this is the best app I own. I feel it does a fantastic service to one's sleep process. The wake up sound is fantastic and I love tracking my sleep cycle over the past almost 20 years. Thank you sleep cycle! :-)
Sleep getting better
Since I have been using the Sleep Cycle app I have found my sleep has improved significantly and I am now able to get to bed at a reasonable time and more importantly I get up at set time in the morning. It has taught me so much about my sleep. I have recommended Sleep Cycle to my clients/friends having difficulty with their sleep. It is amazing!
Do not do a free trial!!!!
I did a free trial of this and decided it wasn’t for me. It was literally impossible to cancel. I wasted over 2 hours trying to cancel this the day before the free trial ended including multiple emails to Sleep Cycle. No response and they ran the charge anyway. Luckily my CC company flag it and I was able to decline the charge. Horrible experience!
Oh Well
I have been using this app for many years but I can no longer afford it due to the price increase. Went up from $39.99 to $57.99 which I am very sorry to say is out of my price range. It sucks because I LOVE this app and have been using it for many many years. Oh well…off to find something less expensive….😞
Can’t set up recurring alarms.
Good app. Annoying how we have to set the alarm manually before bed. If this feature is added I’d make my review 5 stars.
Snore tracking is not reliable
It always gives me multiple recordings of snoring whereas shows 1 min of snoring the whole night, which I believe is inaccurate. Hope it gets fixed in the next update.
Great app!
I really like this app so I know how much sleep I’m getting and weirdly I like to hear me snore and sometimes it catches me sleep talking. So weird to hear yourself when you’re sleeping.
Scam
Complete scam job. Don’t bother. I don’t know who they’re linked to or who they buy your info from, but stay clear. I’ve never used the app, it wasn’t on my phone but I somehow caught a $69.99 charge to my bank account. Had to look it up to find out what this stupid app is (by the way, you can find way better versions of this garbage app for free). Of course Venmo doesn’t care that someone stole your money, they never do. Reached out to apple support they said the charge wasn’t made through them I had to contact the app people. I contacted the app people and explained that I didn’t use the app I hadn’t made the purchase, and I’m a single father of three and I can’t afford to lose that money. That charge cleaned me out. They got back to me once, basically it’s not their problem and they’re keeping my stolen money. I’m contacting BBB and anyone else that will listen. I guess as long as I can’t afford gas to get to work the rest of the week I’ve got all the time in the world to make things difficult for these thieves. I’d say don’t download the app, but apparently it doesn’t matter they’ll find some way to steal your money. If I could give zero stars I would. Shame on you sleep cycle.
Good data
I’ve been a subscriber for years, even though I’ve also owned a Fitbit and Apple Watch. The app provided a bit of levity when it would catch me sleep talking to my wife, or our baby talking. The original price was $30 per year then $40. I’m cancelling now that the price has risen to $57 per year.
Not accurate at all for me
I Don’t snore very much so with the microphone it thinks that I’m not asleep. I can be reading a book listening to a podcast going in the kitchen to get toast and I think I’m asleep so this is just not very accurate. It needs to take a clue from some other parts of the phone. I slept at most five hours last night and it says I slept for 10 hours. I’ll try the motion tonight but when I first fall asleep in the recliner, it’s sitting on a table, so it’s not going to record anything until I get into bed but at least if I’m awake and I go in the kitchen we know that I’m not asleep. I also use the Apple Watch, which is not so accurate & Elemind which overestimates so it’s somewhere in there. I’m waiting for DUSQ & Bia Sleep to maybe get an accurate estimate. It’s almost impossible to find the setting where you can choose between accelerometer and microphone. It thinks I’m talking when I listen to an audiobook to go to sleep It doesn’t want me to do that, but I don’t want to use their sleep aids and I need something to listen to, but the settings are very hard to find i’d like to try the accelerometer. It says the settings are in profile, but they’re not there. The only selection for the microphone is to choose how long you want to keep the recordings It’s very hard to figure out how to use this app. There’s no information in the profile except for some sleep information from the past nothing I can change. The guide tells you how to what you should use, but it doesn’t tell you where to find it. As usual AI is no help with that. I got help from ChatGPT outside of the app and that was better so the selection is under alarm, which is confusing that’s where you choose whether you want the microphone or the accelerometer to wake up .Anyway, it’s good at listening with the microphone and I have other trackers going at the same time so it’s OK. But I probably won’t renew the subscription for that reason.
Glitch
I’ve used this app for many years and I love it except recently it has been counting towards my screen time. Can you please disable the app for screen time? Nobody wants it altering their screen time data.
Great but not free
It’s been a great help with my sleep, I just wish it had a few more things included with the free version. Waking up slowly to the music is SO much better than the crazy fog horn of usual alarms.
Never works
This app will not load 98% of the time yet charges 100% of the time. It simply does not load.

Erased my session, impossible to contact
I woke up and needed to re record and it erased the first session I needed. This thing has always been a piece of garbage that barely works and offers no help or contact support.
Big fan, but battery use has increased
Love the app, been using for 10 years. But the battery consumption seems to have increased dramatically over the last few weeks. Has something changed?
Great app but battery drain is crazy
I’ve been using this app for almost 10+ years and this is my go to sleep app if I really need to wake up at certain time but lately, the battery consumption has been crazy. I have woken up with dead battery and I had 60-70% before bed. I don’t think I can trust this app anymore. If there’s an update to fix this battery drain then I’ll start using it again.
after 6 years
has worked perfectly for over 6 years, but for some reason it woke me an hour late today. I know it did not go off before right within the time I put because the alarm gets extremely loud until it is shut off, and the snooze option only delays 9 minutes so i couldn't have snoozed it in my sleep. very confused today. please fix this bug.
So good that I’ve been using it for 12 years
Few things on the internet last. Sleep Cycle has been on my phone and on my bed stand (and before that, under my mattress) since 2013. It works great. I use it all the time. While the gentle alarm has never worked for me (light does the trick and I’ve bit got ADHD which means sleep and waking is weird for me), everything else is fantastic and the decade+ of accumulated data is interesting. One question, when did you remove the sleep disruptions measurements and why? Was there an announcement?
Disappointing - Sane Bug After Years
I used Sleep Cycle in the past and stopped using it because it had a serious alarm problem. I decided to download it again recently, assuming these bugs had finally been fixed. Unfortunately, the exact same issue happened again. I set my alarm for 7:30 AM, with the Smart Alarm window set to 7:00–7:30 AM, and selected my preferred alarm music. Around 4:00 AM, the app unexpectedly woke me up with a beeping sound instead. That is roughly three hours before my scheduled alarm and completely outside the Smart Alarm window. When I checked the app afterward, the alarm was still showing 7:30 AM / 7:00–7:30 AM, but the sound was no longer what I had selected. This is a sleep alarm app. If I can’t trust it to keep the time and alarm settings I selected, I can’t trust it to wake me up. I came back because I thought these issues had been fixed. Unfortunately, I’m disappointed to find that I’m experiencing essentially the same problem I had years ago. I should not have to use a second alarm because I don’t know whether Sleep Cycle will actually follow the settings I chose. Please fix the alarm reliability and stop changing/overriding user-selected alarm behavior.
Not easy to amend
Finding this app useful but knocked stars off because you forget to turn it off you cannot edit your wake time and this skews your data !
FIX THIS!
I’ve been using this app for yeeears. It used to be great. Recently, and yes it’s updated, it claims I take 2 hours to fall asleep, almost every night. That’s not the case- I fall asleep almost immediately. I have a window AC unit that runs constantly, and it has since I moved here a year ago, so that’s not the problem. I do not have music or tv on. Also, my heartbeat is no longer recorded at all (I have an Apple Watch), and no sound gets recorded anymore- I’ve even spoken if I wake up in the middle of the night. It also doesn’t register me waking up and PICKING UP MY PHONE! I don’t know why you guys have made things worse over the years. My phone is new. So in summary, here’s what you need to fix: Heart rate monitoring, recalibrate sleep tracking, fix lack of recording, obviously if you pick up and use your phone (and remember it), you’re awake, so fix that. Super disappointing and I might have to cancel. The only thing it seems to be good for anymore is slowly waking you.

Been using this for YEARS. So interesting to hear, see and most importantly feel your sleeping habits. Try it for one week you will immediately notice the way you wake up without any awareness of how you woke up. Not in disarray and chaos! I love it
Works for 4 days
On the 5th day, it just freezes whenever you go to the journal
Recordings?
Reused and recycled…Lately when I listen to the recordings I notice only the last five are actually from last night’s sleep. The rest are collections from the past and it is of this I am certain for very specific sounds only happen in certain places. For example; in the heat sometimes I sleep in a different location in our house where the ceiling fan makes a distinctive clicking noise, the one in our bedroom is silent. The recording taken of my dreadful snoring last night included the fan of the room I was not in… disappointing. I have recommended this App to many and now I may have to search for a new one. You can’t fool a fool!
Weird changes
Have had this app since 2011, recently the alarm doesn’t work, I keep being late for work, for some reason if you pick the phone up it switches off the alarm- can’t see any settings to switch it off so have overslept repeatedly now. the app updates never have any detail as to what they have changed. I have consistently used this app for 15 years please fix it, this sucks, an alarm needs to actually wake people up.
Nice app but taking your heart rate is a pain in the arse!
Nice app but taking your heart rate is a total pain I. The arse! Every morning I put my two fingers over the camera and flash and it starts to take my heart rate, gets to a third of the way and just stops, sometimes it eventually it does it, but most times after 5-10 minutes of trying to do this I just give up, I won’t be using this app again after my subscription finishes. Tried to sort this out but can’t find anything to help.

Alarm no longer reliable
As a paid user I've been satisfied with thisbapp for many years, but recently the alarm has become so unreliable - it just fails to go off. That is unacceptable for an alarm clock app, particularly a paid one. It’s clear from recent reviews that other users are having similar problems. Developer responses telling people to “check out troubleshooting” are not acceptable for a paid app - the functionality should just work. Fix your app. Don’t put the burden back on to users to figure out what's wrong with it.
iPhone upgrade issues
I’ve been using this app since my first iPhone 5s and subsequent iPhones and I love it. However, since I upgraded to iPhone 17 many features no longer work. The heart rate monitor doesn’t detect my finger at all now. The alarm doesn’t go off at the correct time…sometimes a few minutes later, but mostly more. And it barely records anything in the night and I know I snore a LOT from the many years previous. Disappointed as I used to love this app. 🙁
Worse every update
I’ve been using this app since it was on iPhone 3. I’ve paid for a subscription for years, and they keep updating it and moving features further behind the paywall. Now it wont even play sounds unless you pay 60$ a year. And my subscription that ends next April doesn’t play sounds anymore. Stop being greedy.
Inaccurate and stuck
Don’t know how accurate this can truly be. For starters, it registers all outside noise as ‘sleep talking’ which in turn gives completely inaccurate information about when you’re awake and not. There’s no option to change this. I tried moving the phone to different locations, still the same. Please fix this!

Refuse refund after single day
This app automatically renewed my subscription for an entire year. I realized it and canceled within 24 hours of the charge, but they completely refused to issue a refund. I haven’t even used this product in months, and now I’m forced to pay for a full year I won't use. If forcing accidental auto-renewals on people is how this app stays in business, the product itself must be trash. I appealed the refund twice and Apple marked it as final. It’s not even about the money at this point—it’s the principle of charging someone for a full year of service over a single day's delay. Avoid! They just reached out to me to send me a link for how to cancel …. months after my claim was denied multiple times. Just updating to confirm - still very unhelpful. Just use the app in Apple - don’t get this add on. Do not recommend.
Great sleep progress
Very useful I could not sleep for a wile but with this app you’ll be asleep in under a hour very good.

Used to be reliable. Now it’s frequently not running in the morning , always have to set another alarm as well.

If you use the free version it’s essentially just an alarm. I’ve had several instances where the Alarm “went off” during my sleep resulting in me not being woken up at the correct time
