Not reliable, gives you boilerplate
My son was still on the ground de-icing before takeoff, but the app showed his plane already departed and had already gotten from Milwaukee to over downtown Chicago at that same time. The status indicated he’d taken off 20 minutes prior but he was still on the ground If they can’t fix this app it’s not worth the cost Also the lockout on the number of flights you can enter a month is ridiculous. An t believe I’m paying for this app anymore
Great app.
I find this app very useful especially having updated gate arrival and departure info…particularly for connecting flights Altogether a time saving app Recommended
Great app, but one area in accessible
Please could you fix Calendar access for VoiceOver users? Although you can navigate between months and years VoiceOver does not read the actual date?? As a visually impaired user this is a showstopper using the app because you can’t insert return flight dates. It will accept the outgoing date based on the itinerary. This is an amazing app. I just wish this issue would be resolved.
Best flight app
I have been using this app for many years already. Service is not getting better. Notice of flight delay is very slow compare to other available and cheaper app.
My Rating
App
Flight map
The map doesn’t work
Subscription is expensive but worth it when flying a lot
The app keeps losing the notes and replacing my notes with something random. Not sure if this is the app or the TripIt integration, but it’s annoying. I save the codeshare reservation code in the notes, so please stop overwriting it, or give me a field for multiple reservation codes. Also, I take the same trip frequently to the same place, same flights, so let me copy previous trips rather than starting over every trip. Now, please stop asking for full calendar access every time I open the app. You don’t need that info, I’ve said no every time, and that’s not going to change. I’m okay with deleting any dupes or changes myself.
Incorrect Gate
Wrong information
Unhappy with payments schedule
I used to purchase the app and that was it. Now you have to pay monthly subscription.
Easy Accurate
Easy to search. Easy to set up. Easy to Save. Very accurate and reliable.
Clumsy
Not as intuitive as it should be, poor coloration of buttons.
Nice app
Very nice app and great customer services. Developed actually responds to your queries. Happy that the airline list has grown I the recent update. Thx guys. Update 2019*** it’s a little out of control now will all these subscriptions. Ow you can’t even seem to add 5 connections to 1 flight if you are travelling around Europe. Come on guys this is not the USA Europe is totally different and many of the countries are nearby. You should reconsider this. Are you are aware there are many other apps out there offering a similar service free? I’ve been with you for quite a few years so please I urge you to reconsider some of these subscriptions. Thx
Not worth subscribe
I used this app since 2009-2021. When launched was free , then subscribed till 2021. At the time nothing great except colorful GUI & basic info . It work well in USA. But outside USA no gate info or delays or baggage. Free app like flight aware and few others give delays or change of gate. I just subscribed again for a month to experience any new big improvements but nothing ,honestly waste of money. I will recommend to users try Flightradar24 and best of best Flighty. Flighty subscription is really worth every penny. It inform well before time any change of gate or delay and also info for incoming flight to your gate in all on in page .. Dynamic Island very handy
Great app
Love the app. Just needs an Apple Watch app. Very disappointing about the notifications subscription. This is forcing me to look for new Tracker app.
Love It!
i've been using this app for about four or five years, it provides get updates, good airport detail, I haven't seen this fail yet. Nice job, developers!
Was good, not now.
Used to be a great app. Information is slow to update if at all. The major airlines provide more timely data now than the app. A victim of improved technology.
Very useful - the occasional blip.
Generally I find flight update extremely useful, and I use it a heck of a lot. It quite frequently seems to ‘know’ things like gate changes and delays before the airline staff and airport information sources do! There are some odd glitches in its calculation of ‘departs in...’ and layover times. These are occasionally *wrong*, I think connected to time zone issues but I’ve never quite figured out the pattern. But that aside, it’s very good.
Wrong gate info
I just started using App loved. Then realized it was giving me wrong gate for Orlando flight for American this morning. It had Terminal B for American when they are Terminal A. Thank God my husband who drops me off said “that does not sound right”
Disappointed
I was sad (and a bit frustrated) to see an alert asking me to subscribe to Notifications, for which I paid a premium up front when I bought this app. This app has always worked well for me in the past, but if I wanted to subscribe to features, I would have gone with App in the Air in the first place. Time to start looking again.
Must have travel aid❗️
Love this app❗️I travel often and rely on the push notices to update me on all my flights. Gate changes, delays.... it’s awesome❗️
INACCURATE FLIGHT TIMES
April 2024 I am not sure what happened, but I am getting notifications of changes in flights and times from trip it as well as airlines, and the flight times are not accurate anymore on flight update PRO (yes I have paid for this). This completely makes this app unusable! I am going to have to unsubscribe unless they fix this-
It does the job
At first wasn't sure but after several trips I got to like it
Greedy
Greedy and way to expensive for what you get. I used this app for years but after the subscription model put forth I’m on my way to greener pastures.
Works as advertised
but I don’t like the interface of the app. Overall design (except for the icon) looks really boring and dated. I would strongly suggest authors to take a look on other similar apps, say ...Flifgttrack 5 (R.I.P.) and many others. For the price we pay it should look much more attractive.
Fantastic App
This is a great app for following the progress of an airline flight from beginning to end.
Disappointed and no star!
I already paid for the App, no monthly payment is acceptable in this case
Good app
Good app but a little bit slow. I work for a tour operator and need to load a month's worth of flights in one go, so around 40 flights. App could be a bit faster to update.
I used to love this App…
This was my favorite flight tracker for the longest time. Lately, though, it has gotten spotty with information and timely updates. Only about half the time do I get gate information or data about a flight departing/arriving. I cancelled my subscription and will look for a new app.
Is it worth it
Not sure what purpose the app is serving for me really. Just a database Would be better if it linked to airline apps so it uploaded automatically from them or via sone other means like frequent flyer card etc
SherryBPriceless1995
A MUST-HAVE for every traveler!!
Subscription model ruins this app
I was very disappointed to see the business model changed for this app - which I have previously purchased - to a subscription model. My experience with other apps is to grandfather those people whom have already purchased an app to continue to use it without restrictions. I will instead purchase a different app not associated with this greedy developer.
App for Flyers
This is a top notch app. I fly a lot and not only does it update the flight info immediately it will allow you to create separate trips and save them for review. As it does update gate info I think a future version containing airport (gate/terminal) maps would be helpful. That would give a 5 star review. But overall awesome.
Screwing the people who helped at the start
After supporting this app and paying for the pro version not good you are now required to subscribe to view more than a couple of tracked flights... very poor show
Aceptable
Tiene problemas para actualizar puertas de salida.
My Experience
All good to say… Keeps me either ahead of the game or on top of all the details. Well done.
No Push Notifications without subscription
This was good app. Then push notifications stopped without signing up for monthly subscription. Of very limited value now. Paid a lot for app and now virtually useless. Push notifications was the key feature.
Great flight tracker
Flight update is a great tool to check on progress of arrivals and departures. It's usually more accurate and faster than the apps of the airlines themselves. A big help when trying to judge when to park for a pickup or when it's OK to leave the area after a drop-off.
Paid twice already
Paid for this app twice already. Just last update it started to limit flights to be tracked each month to 5. Wants me to now do a monthly subscription. Look for a different app.
iPhone 3GS v3.1.2 - instable
Bien fait pour programmer ses voyages. En connection WiFi et rafraichissement à la demande, parfois bloquage de Flight Update qui empêche toutes autres demandes de "Update / WiFi" par d'autres soft. Donc : "full Power Off" puis "Power On and SIM unlock". Besoin d'Update. Merci.
Outstanding!!!
Great tool to manage flights!!!
Complete Crap
This one great app has become progressively worse with late (or no) notifications and now wants $24 per year to provide push notifications - which better apps provide for free. Given the steep purchase price this is pathetic. Delete... moving on to better and cheaper.
Great app, highly recommended...
I travel on average twice a month or more for work and find it extremely helpful and useful...all my flight details and information are in one place, I am informed of flight changes, etc. I also value the fact that the author is quick to respond to emails to fix bugs, provide assistance, etc. A very helpful utility for a frequent traveler!
It freezes too often
Not reliable when your flight info needs to be viewed because the app freezes on the main page listing trips
Simple & VERY User Friendly!
Love the way that it auto-updates changed in flight plans!
Don’t Bother
As I had to travel internationally a lot this past year, I took along 4 flight trackers to see which was the most timely and accurate. Flight Update was at the bottom of the list, with delayed or missed notifications more often than not, and no automatic iCloud sync between devices. The developer now wants to charge a subscription for push notifications. Why would anyone pay additional charges for notifications that may or may not arrive ? The app is not worth the base cost much less a subscription fee on top. Save your money and go elsewhere. Much to my surprise, Flightview Elite proved the most reliable and accurate, for half the cost and no subscription. Flight Update has been tossed off all my devices; yet another purchase that failed to live up to its own hype.
I like it!
I use this app all the time. And have for a long time. I use the 'Insta' option to monitor flights and it consistently gives accurate information. I think the map component is great. Our family members are always on the go and this lets us be where we need to be - on time. This has been worth the modest price paid so long ago, hundreds of times over.
Yeah, but...
There are several roughly equal flight trackers. All have their Pluses and their flaws, here the search is a little annoying but otherwise everything works. At this price point I would have expected a little more functionality. Drop the 'pro' and buy the regular version, nothing really justifies the extra $5.
