Getting “Error” message
I live in Japan, and I’ve been using this app for a long time with no issues at all. But recently, I’ve been getting “Route error” messages on certain usual routes, and only getting local train options on others, even though I recently upgraded to Premium (hoping that that was the issue) and even though I’ve set my route options to “prefer direct train”. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but the issue still persists. Any suggestions from the app users or creators? UPDATE: After contacting the app creators, they quickly replied and figured out the glitch. They have fixed the issue and it works as normal now. Very good and prompt customer service! I’ve changed my rating to 5 stars. Thank you to the customer service team for quickly finding the glitch and fixing the app.
Locations need to update
The locations on the ‘from’ should automatically update at each stop … this would be helpful to a lot of people since missed trains are common during rush hour
Invaluable for travellers, sometimes clunky
Invaluable timetable and route finder for Japan. Seems to cover all buses, trains, trams. Sometimes pauses for no apparent reason (maybe just the free version loading ads?) Highly recommended for travellers. You can subscribe to the plus version, which provides additional information for changing trains (best carriage to board) and also additional history. It is free for the first month.
経由駅を登録しても無視される
JRのパスがあるので、南越谷駅経由を登録しても、新越谷から乗り換えせず、無視されてしまう、また、ブラウザ版だと1本次、五分後をすぐに出せますが、アプリはそのボタンがない… 使えないのでアプリ削除しました
広告を見せるだけ見せて
気に入ってこれまで何年も使ってきていますが最近のアップデートで乗り換え車両の位置を広告を表示して確認しようとしても、広告は表示されるのに肝心の見たい情報が出ません。何度やっても出ず、ひたすら広告を見せられているだけで大変不快です

Similar to Apple Maps Apple maps has no Flashing irrelevant ads.
Pretty good
Added English support which is actually very nice, but took away the most useful feature (一本前、一本後). Changed it back to Japanese and the feature is there, so I’ll continue to use in Japanese.
経由地が入れられなくなった
ついこの前まで出発地、到着地に加えて経由地も複数入れられたのに、いつの間にか経由地を入力しても入らず、経由地として入れた駅が到着地になる。バージョンアップ時のバグか？ 早く修正してほしい。困る。
iPad版で経由入力ができない
経由地を入力しようとすると、到着地入力に強制される。 iPhone版ではokです。
Not showing current times
Have used this app for 3+ years with no problems. Today, I keep getting route error msg. Have reinstalled and get the same message.
Horrible
We lived in Japan from 2013-2018. I kept the old App as it worked wonderfully. Arrived in Tokyo on 06/24/2024, the old App no longer works and had to upgrade to this new version. It is HORRIBLE! It cannot find the stations where I am at, little less where I want to go! This current version is TRASH!
New Update Problem
Hello. I appreciate you adding English to use in the app, but I’d like to change it back to Japanese. However, when I open Settings there are no language settings for me to change. Could you fix that as soon as possible please?

Very useful in Japan (if you can read Japanese)
Just got back from Japan and used this all the time. Combined with a SUICA card, this app greatly simplifies getting around in Japan via train. It's a lot easier than having to look stations up on the spaghetti noodle maps! Though you can type in the train station name in romaji, you need to be able to read Japanese to some extent to understand the results.
着せ替えのバグ直して欲しい
着せ替えを使用した時、目的地などを入力する箇所の背景が真っ黒で可愛くなくなりました……着せ替えの選択ページではその箇所もしっかり色がついてるのに、何でですか？前までは反映されてたので余計に気になります。アプリを入れ直しても直りませんでした。

Plusモード購入誘導画面について
すごく使いやすくて何年も使っていたのに、最近Plusモード購入画面が画面を切り替える度に出てきてすごく使いづらいです。その画面もずっと「読み込み中…」となっていて見ることもいざ購入することもできないし、やめていただきたいです。
Don’t do me any favours
The app is generally accurate but insists on giving unwanted information. If I enter JR Shuntokumichi as a departure or destination it always provides the timetable for Kintetsu Shuntokumichi first. If I want Kintetsu I’ll ask for it.
What Happened!!?? → Resolved!
This app was always the best for years and I depend(ed) on it for years for all of my Tokyo train travels. After the most recent "update" suddenly it doesn't work at all! It just says the app is no longer supported. It's here in the iOS App store and still looks to be supported but just no longer works on my iPhone 13 as it has for the past 2 years! Komarimasu! Tasukete kudasai! We need this app and there is no equivalent! What gives? The support team graciously replied to me explaining the situation. There was a 2 hour glitch but now everything is back to it's normal, wonderful usefulness! They replied to me to explain the very temporary glitch that I just happened to encounter. I very highly recommend this app for traveling in Japan. I have been here for 50 years and this app is by far the absolute BEST!! Thank you Japan Transit creators and support!
Ads!!!
So I got this app a few years ago and for a long time I didn’t update. But in order to use a new feature I saw on the website I updated. Much to my dismay, the app is now full ads!!! Not one, but two ads display on one screen, and now in order to access certain features, you’re expected to subscribe or download another app called “Plus”. There’s no guarantee that’s one is ad-free, so I’m not gonna drop $6.99 for it. Unbelievable!!!

If you can understand a bit of Japanese this app beats any English transport site on the Internet hands down. It gives you times, cost, flight paths, Shinkansen routes, trains and subways. It will even provide information on problems with the route or settings to allow different transport options such as cheapest or quickest path. Great app!

Great app for Japan trains
Use this all the time. My kanji knowledge is not great but I am able to get by with this app. Train times are accurate and it is always a lifesaver when I need to know what trains to take and when.

Best option I found for a dedicated train-finder in Japan. Not bad, but only slightly better than the jorudan web site itself. Needs localization in English. The jorudan site has English, this should also. A bit slow.... but so is the jorudan site.

Used to be good, now gives me bad directions
With the most recent update that added an English interface to the app, the entire timetable seems off. I’ve been taking various routes for years now and the app used to show me those, now it’s saying that those same routes take 20 more minutes. It does not seem to stay up to date with delays as well either and doesn’t offer as much information as before when it was entirely in Japanese. Needs a fix badly.
A must have!
We used this app to plan Shinkansen trips between cities. We used it to take the subway, train and bus in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Sapporo. It was invaluable. I felt 100% confident in planning my day and had the freedom to change plans.
Horrible redesign lost features
The old version would show you your previous search results when you open the app. The new one starts from the beginning every time you open.

Decrease in performance
The app has significantly slowed down in performance since the last update. It more often than not times out before actually showing routes. Very disappointed as it was the best app in my opinion before the update.
