This is the crown jewel, stop looking.
Too hard to read
PCalc is powerful, but the UI is a mess. Themes are bright and distracting, and there’s no way to get simple high-contrast text across the keypad, tape, and buttons. Fix one area and another becomes unreadable. Basic readability shouldn’t be this hard.
Update ruined it
What did you do with my calculator? I loved this app. The latest update completely changed the look that I now can’t get back. Why?!?
Fatal flaw for me
If I place the calculator in the background to collect figures, the calculator clears the register.. Argg If I want support I have to sign up for a social media site. Nope
Whole expression in Display?
I was looking for a calculator app that handles and evaluates the entire expression at the end, when you hit enter. (You could also edit this later if you made a mistake.) I don’t get it, why PCalc can‘t do it when my calculator app on the phone can and most of the calculator in math class. Or am I missing the settings for that?

why the limitation?
Fantastic calculator
It’s a great calculator that has so much flexibility. Hats off to the developer. I only wish the universal purchase included the Mac version. They offer the app on the Mac as a separate purchase. $10 is already on the high end for a utility app (although worth the price). I just can’t bring myself to pay it again to have the same app on the Mac.
Good Calculator but missing equation solving
Overall it is a good calculator but one thing that is a must is support for putting in equations all at once and not one by one, for example solving physics problem such as : 6.64^-31 x 8.7^-31 and we can put that problem at once please add it.
Good though Missing Accessibility and Widget
Very customisable but still missing a button to toggle speaking function on & off from the layout editor. Also this calculator doesn’t have a widget for use on the Home / Lock Screen. Yes performance wouldn’t be great, but for quick calculations without unlocking or opening an app it would be useful. Sadly still not one calculator to cover all my needs but this gets the closest.

Widget no longer working with iOS 18.
Best RPN so Far
I've been looking for a solid RPN calculator since switching from Android (realCalc was my go to). I can't stand the old timey/emulated look of other RPN calculators I've tried. If I wanted that I would get a real one. This app is nice and clean and just what I want. The have only thing it's missing right now is a control shortcut but I'm gonna look for a workaround.

Widget gone
Home Screen widget used to be great but it’s been gone for years and hasn’t been updated to keep up with iOS
Need a calculator with more features? Look no further.
This is the pinnacle of Calculator apps on iOS. The only way could be better is if I could play games on it, like I did on my old Ti-85 in high school 😉 (check out “About by PCalc“ for some delightful surprises) I’ve customized my calculator layouts very nicely, though I do wish I could more easily synchronize those (and other settings) between iOS and Mac versions. Bottom line: If you ever wished the built-in Calculator app could do a bit more… Or even a lot more, then get PCalc!

The latest update removed the widget calculator. It was nice and convenient to have. I’m not sure why it was not able to transfer and work with the latest update.
What I need.
This has a lot of features, but the features I regularly use are easy to find, and not hidden. It’s great that it’s available on all my devices.
Horrible excuse for a scientific calculator.

Widget no longer works
I live this app and loved that I could access it as a widget. That no longer works unfortunately so the app has to be launched to be used. I hope an update brings that functionality back.

No easy way to see history, which is the only reason I paid for it.

Viele Funktionen u. extrem teuer
Auf der Suche nach einem multifunktionsfähigen Taschenrechner bin ich bei PCalc hängengeblieben. Die Funktionen sind Top - die Einstellingsmöglichkeiten reine Nervensache und die fehlende deutsche Übersetzung bei einem Preis von knapp 9,- € ein FLOPP!! Wünsche mir deutsche Einstellungshilfen, sowie eine komplett deutsche Oberfläche.

J’utilise cette appli de calculette depuis plus de 3 mois et je dois dire qu’elle surpasse la HP 11C que je m’étais procurée à la fin des années 70 🤫😅... et, même, toutes ces applis que j’ai téléchargées ... je crois bien les avoir toutes essayées ! Certaines étaient vraiment très bien mais celle-ci, je le répète, se démarque en ce qu’elle permet, par exemple, de calculer les taxes de vente en un clic... mais le plus important est que tout se fait de la façon la plus intuitive qui soit ! Mais, bon sang, pourquoi a-t-on oublié le français ?

He has requests: Can you please add a ton of more customization options for examples change the shape of the buttons of the calculator and please add the option to change the color and choose your custom gradient of the numbers on the calculator and add custom gradients for the calculator and please add an option to choose your background of your calculator and please add an option to make the calculator in a outline border and add more font options and add more swiping gestures for example 2 3 or 4 finger to swipe up down left right for actions

Terrible calculator for the price
I got this calculator years ago but deleted it because I didn’t like it. I downloaded it again to give it another try but still left disappointed. The iPhone is much more powerful than a Casio scientific calculator yet this app acts like an HP calculator made 20 years ago and doesn’t work as efficiently as a Casio calculator built in the last 5 years. I cannot input long calculations in one go, you must input everything one register at a time which is time consuming and outdated. Also the calculations are very limited. If the fraction has a square root then the answer will be either given in decimal or an approximated fraction instead of an exact value with the square root still intact in the answer. Also the multiline support is very limited. I can’t show my previous calculations except on the outdated tape mode instead of displaying it right on the multiline display like a normal modern Casio calculator. Furthermore, unless I specifically go into complex mode and input data in an inefficient way I can’t do complex calculations. Typing in root(-1) results in an error instead of the calculator outputting “i” like it should. While this layout and methodology might have been impressive 20 years ago, it is very lacking in our modern time and fails to properly utilize the power of modern smartphone processors and massive memory availability. Note: I am better used to the interface now, and while it takes more input time for long calculations, it’s still quite handy in its own way. I changed my rating to 4 stars

Lacking DMS parsing
A very pretty and competent calculator but as a land surveyor, I work extensively with Degrees Minutes Seconds and fractions of Seconds. I need to be able to input these as DMS and convert them to decimal degrees before applying trigonometric functions. The results of calculations often need to be converted back to DMS to obtain an angle or bearing. Currently, this calculator doesn’t have this function (and its inverse) and is therefore a pain to use for this purpose.
The. Best. and. Final. Calculator. Period.
The calculator I had been using was improved and turned into useless silicon for me. So for the fourth time in ten years I was hunting for another calculator. My needs were simple, requiring only an easily addressable memory, adjustable decimal places, parentheses or RPN, and a tape that I could save. Being able to set my own color scheme and key shape/size were bonuses for eye comfort and large hands. That w BBC as my list for daily needs. As an engineer turned programmer I appreciated a big set of functions and extended customization, but for my daily at-home financial needs I had what I wanted. And three times that had been pulled out from under me. I don’t know how In my technical career that I had overlooked PCalc, but it had eluded me. Until this year. Ten minutes into my first playtime I realized I had hit the holy grail of numeric manipulation. Would it pass one last test? It needed to support split-screen and slide-over modes on my iPad. It did it better than I ever anticipated! Rotate the iPad to portrait and I’ve made it match my iPhone. Turn to landscape and I get my own customized scientific calculator. If that’s not enough, it has user-defined functions, constants and conversions! Along with registers, I’m able to replace a straightforward spreadsheet that I use every business day. A few custom keys and functions and memory is all filled in and ready to go. Don’t be scared of all the advanced stuff — and there is a lot more. If you use it right out of the box, it will still be your best and final calculator. There is no cost, so please remember to pass by the tip jar on the way out.
Editable ticker tape needed !
Great app but still needs an editable ticker tape so you can go back and replace the cursor at the exact location and correct the digit. Backspace also needs to work with the ticker tape equation and not just with the result. The ticker tape needs to be live. I had the calcSmart as my default calculator app with this extremely useful function. Kind of now regret paying for PCalc :-/

A great calculator, but I wish I could add a button to the control center or a widget. Please add that capability.
It's ok but could do so much more.
I like this app, it's aesthetically pleasant and does and good job. However it doesn't support algebraic formula entry, it's just a calculator. Not even SI engineering format support (K, M, G et al), just engineering (multiple of 3). Plenty of scope for future enhancements.
Excellent until iOS 18.3
This is an excellent app. I created a GUI which looks like red LED’s. Unfortunately after I updated to IOS 18.3 the buttons are kind of crazy stacked over each other. The button with the 4 I cannot see because the 5 is over it. Dear team: Can you fix it?
Crashes
It’s crashing when I use currency.
Lots of features
But it has some functional quirks. Things like hitting ‘C’ does not fully clear the register. So you enter what you think is your next equation and old values are persisting. Maybe the way it is intended to work, but it’s a pain to have to hit ‘AC’ all the time. Then there is portrait mode where ‘C’ flips to ‘AC’ if you accidentally tap it twice. Resulting in your memory values being wiped. And as my fat finger is hovering over the ‘C’, I may not notice it flipped functions. That all being said, a lot of features in this calculator, lots of custom stuff. I’d like ‘ac’ just plain removed from basic calculator views, just give me the bare basics for doing the basics. I can flip to a custom layout when I’m doing heavy stuff.
Missing key features
Unless I'm missing something, nPr and nCr are both missing. They're included in most (if not all) scientific calculators these days, so it seems like a strange thing to leave out. Also, it doesn't support natural input / display so entering surds etc is a pain. All in all, I've been pretty disappointed with PCalc. It feels like an old school calculator with some extra scientific functions. I think I'd rather just carry my calculator with me.

Almost perfect
Very customizable and it’s a joy to have a consistent calculator across devices. The only thing missing for me would be an NPV, IRR and cash flow function.
