Excellent Customer Service
Smart lock has worked well and enables me to manage my Airbnb home remotely. Very handy for setting permanent and duration pins for cleaner and for guests. When a problem occurs I can count on Customer Service to help me quickly and efficiently. I have been very pleased overall.
Useless updates
My third review since an August update. Each update has not fixed the WiFi connection problems. The app is USELESS.
Great App
All is well with App, the only part that would be nice to enhance is the battery usage portion as it does not show % used so you need to guess how much is used
Seemed cool at first
Great concept but poor execution and updates. We have one at the house and it works but the app unlock or lock does t work so I recommend placing your lock on auto lock just in case and have the metal key or your code/fingerprint active. Looking forward to the app working again to adjust my review!
It was good until it wasn’t
It disconnected my devices and won’t allow me to reconnect them. I’ve uninstalled the app and deleted my account and start a new account with a different email. It just keeps saying server can’t be found. Therefore making the app useless.

Always logs out
Works great but I’m constantly getting logged out and don’t realize it until i open the app up again. When you’re logged out you don’t receive notifications for when someone unlocks or locks the door.
Overall Solid
Yet I have several issues setting occasional / duration PIN codes. I’ll have them set up and go to change the time and the time won’t save so I end up deleting and creating new. A little fix that could go a long way.

Terrible app, bad service
Worst app. Keep getting wifi connection errors. Most infuriating experience for something that should be a premium experience. Maybe Philips ought to take the licence away from the company that’s designed this.
Works With Alexa!
Yes it works with Alexa, but not the easy way. After failing to connect Alexa to Home Access, I tried a bunch of ways and I figured out one that works… The most important part is that you have to create a log in with a password. Don’t use the Gmail or Apple links. Once you’ve verified that the lock is connected to the app, you delete the app. Then go to the Alexa app and search for the skill “Phillips Home access”. Click the link button, which then opens a browser window and asks you to log into Home Access. Enter the email and password you created and Alexa will start to connect itself. Once done, download the app and log in. Boom, done!
App requires immediate update for V4.16.1 - wifi bridge not functioning
The wifi bridge is non functional since latest update V4.16.1 - I’ve tried two different bridges and both disconnect with this update. Didn’t have issues prior. I ruled out it’s not an internet issue. Needs immediate fix as locks are no longer functional and is a safety concern. Please remedy asap.
Frustrating
This app does not even do the bare minimum. I can’t add pins, fingerprints or remotely lock/unlock. What is the point in getting a keypad lock if you need to use the physical key all the time.
Suggestion for scheduler
This is a really great app. Sometimes it lacks connecting to the cloud to display my lock. Other than that it works good. They really need a scheduler for away mode. That would be a really big help in Help to protect my home and yours

Great Lock …
This is a great lock to have. It has a lot of features I love. However, sometimes it’s either the app or the tech in the lock itself that just glitches. They do usually push an update pretty quickly that fixes it.
Passage mode
Passage mode not working yet And if someone put his finger many times the door will locked for 2 or 3 minutes It’s should no locked Just give warning for the owner that someone not registered trying to open door My family stacked inside if any child try to open door from outside It’s not make any sense

Unreliable
I use this app for my Airbnb. The functionality is mediocre at best. Changes to codes and times often fail. Or it says the change has been made but it actually hasn’t. A company like Philips should do better.

Enforces WiFi Password Requirements
Setup for the Philips front door lock went well, until I installed this app and tried to connect to my WiFi. Once I picked my home WiFi I was ready to input my password. This app told me either no password or a password of 8 characters or more is required. Since when can an app dictate what my password requirements need to be for a service for which it is a consumer?!! This is not a password that Philips Home Access owns and maintains. Likely returning the original lock if this is not addressed soon. I need WiFi connectivity for Alexa integration. Have no idea if all of the other issues exist - as noted by other reviews. Maybe this is a sign to cut my losses while I am still in the return window on Amazon.
Terrible app
Always fails on updates to codes or dates. Ramdomly deletes users. Phillips support always says to “just factory reset” Yeah sure, just try and figure out what codes you assigned to 15 different people because the app won’t display. Yeah sure, take another 3 hours out of your day to deal with what Phillips lazy and substandard iOS developers can’t or won’t do. Get betttr at this. Class action suits coming…

Good product but terrible software. Will constantly disconnect from WiFi. Fix this man. This is embarrassing Philips.
Improving
The last two updates have not logged me out like previous updates. That’s an improvement. I do wonder why it seems like there’s updates nearly every week or two. It seems excessive, but hopefully it’s keeping the hardware and software working securely and reliably.
Wifi Requirements Seem Out of Place
For some reason, if you connect to a Philips 4200 Series Smart Lock to your Wifi (a primary goal for my use case) via this App, you have the option of connecting to a Wifi with either no password or a password between like 8 and 12 characters. I don't get this second requirement. The App is connecting to the Wifi as a consumer and consumers don't get to dictate the password requirements of the service they are connecting to for use. I don't understand this at all and have submitted a ticket on the App. If customer services or app support doesn't respond with a fix by the time my return window expires (July 23), I will be returning this item and trying something else.
Offline
It appears offline very often and doesn’t send any notifications. Then, you have to wait until you arrive home to reconnect it to Wi-Fi again.

Breakage Since Beginning of August
Since whatever bum update, the app doesn't let my father scan the lock's code, saying "Can't connect to server". But on mine it lets me connect to the lock but only through Bluetooth and CANNOT connect to the WiFi, which is essential if we plan to be away from home. It says “Network Connection Failed” every single time I try to connect to the WiFi. Been 2 weeks and they haven’t rolled out a new update or seem to have attempted to resolve this issue.

Useless
This app is basically useless. It logs you out all the time, and you usually only realize it after a period of inactivity. It throws errors every time you try to make changes, like setting up auto-lock, PINs, or fingerprints. Sometimes when you try to view a PIN code, it shows up blank even though a PIN is already set. The list goes on. I do like being able to see whether the door is locked or unlocked and being able to control it remotely from the app, along with a few other features. But the app needs A LOT of work and always has. Unfortunately, Philips doesn’t seem motivated to fix these issues because people keep buying the locks anyway.
APP REQUESTS
1) Make it to where I don’t have to input pins individually for each key pad. I have a short term rental with a keypad on the front and back doors and every time we have a new guest book with us, I have to go into each keypad individually to put their designated door code and duration time. It would be really nice if I only had to do it once and it went to both keypads. 2) For duration codes, make it to where we can view it as 12 hour (am/pm) or 24 hour time

Push notifications and pairing of smartkey is finally working on the app after feedback to their customer service! Good job team!
Useless
The app is useless at this point. After the last update I can’t see my locks, do not get notifications from the locks and can’t re-add either.

This app constantly goes offline with Bluetooth and WiFi both. Literally many times per day. A TOTAL waste and an embarrassment to Phillips. Fix your damn app!!

I have to login with userid and password EVERY time I use this app. No faceid. A real pain!! Even if I used it the day before.
Problem after updating app
The app is useful and easy to use. However recently it ask to update the app. After updating, I loss all previous lock information. Tried to connect back, although can detect the lock it cannot register the lock. I had to create new account id to connect back to my digital lock. Another problem requires improvement to the app.
I wish I could give this zero stars
This app was awesome when I first got the lock back in December. Then, every couple of weeks, it would unpair itself from Alexa. That was something I could handle, and really it wasn’t a huge deal. But then, about a month ago, my lock disappeared from my app, and I just keep getting the same “could not connect to server” error with no way to fix it. I’ve reset my router, deleted the app and reinstalled, contacted support with zero responses, and still it just doesn’t work.
The app is so stupid
It’s a pain to set the PIN. 1) after setting duration pin, I cannot adjust the time if changes need to be made. The app will say changes successful but no changes are reflected. So I have to delete and set new pin every time. 2) after setting the start date for duration pin, the end date is not automatically adjusted to a date on or after the start date. You can’t have an end date before the start date right? Why not just automatically change the end date too? Can you please upgrade the app to fix the above.
