Amazing
Been looking for a game like this for a long time! It’s a bit grindy, but it’s still developing so I imagine that element will likely be improved in the future. I like how it’s simple, but has just enough to keep you engaged. I love pixel art style so that’s a nice bonus. This review doesn’t give it justice, I’d just say get in there and try. I’d be surprised if you didn’t enjoy it
Do not play
Game has stalled. No more updates. This isn’t an early access game anymore. Do not spend your money or waste your time on this game. Dev hype this game up to the community promising new updates for the past several years. They finally just came out and admitted they withheld this information from us admitting that the game is stalled. Do not waste your time playing, do not spend your money. Dev killed their own game, period.

One of the better games you can get on iOS
only reason I don’t give 5 stars is updates are released at a snails pace. Definitely still a work in progress and there many things I would like to see added and some things changed, but I definitely still recommend giving it a shot if this sort of game appeals to you. If updates were every (#) weeks and scheduled for maintenance etc., would be well received by all. Also more detailed game mechanics and information like item drop rate % chance, etc. Amongst other general topics as well that would be nice. Anyways

Suggestions
I don’t know where to leave advice that may make the game better seem less annoying but make me need a crafting level of 5 to make an item that requires me to be level 10 makes no sense like one or the other and same with quests. What the point of not being able to do a quest until I’m level 10 but the items I receive won’t allow me to use them until I’m level 14 Give us some availability for us to out perform like if we kill something that our level wouldn’t normally support like the quest that requires 7 feathers that give us the level 14 items allow us to claim the quest and complete it without being level 11 and allow us to use the level 14 items it helps with game progression.
Great 2D mmorpg
Heartwood is a solid 2D mmorpg for mobile with good community. I’ve been enjoying it so far. It’s a little grindy, but that is probably a good thing so you don’t get bored with it too quickly.

Missing Report or Block Option?
Just recently started playing, and I’m having a good time with it. It’s a bit of a grind fest, but that’s actually what I was looking for in a mobile game, so I’m happy. Plus, the graphics are charming and the game runs smoothly. With that said, I’ve been harassed by a user named EternalKiss who keeps following me around and calling me derogatory terms in Spanish. Even with the chatbox closed, there’s still a speech bubble that appears above his head every time he sends a message. Is there a way to report certain messages for review or block other users so I’m invisible to them and they’re invisible to me? This was my first real interaction with another player, which was disheartening but not entirely unexpected with an MMO game. However, the truly frustrating part is how there was seemingly nothing I could do to get away from the pestering other than quitting the game. The game is enjoyable, but not enjoyable enough for me to put up with rampant name-calling. I’m hoping I missed a very obvious “BLOCK” option somewhere, but if I didn’t and there really isn’t an option to block other users, I definitely think this game could benefit from one. I’d rather mute someone who’s being offensive or otherwise causing drama in the chat than have to quit the game just to get a moment of reprieve.

Grinds the fun out
This is a barebones MMORPG with a very small world and not much actual gameplay. The game requires excessive amounts of grinding to achieve basically anything. While many mmos require a certain amount of grinding, this game far exceeds the norm. It quite literally grinds the fun factor out of the game and makes it lackluster and a bore fest. The insane grind drives away players and kills the player count. It’s still in early access so “Maybe” the game devs will make the necessary adjustments to add “fun” back into their game.
This game deserves more love!
Firstly let me say, if you enjoy grinding and don’t mind pixel games, you’ll love this game! The devs are actively updating it and while the player count is small most of the time this is a huge help to get the drops and XP you want. Everything from fighting to fishing can be quite rewarding once you figure out the best way for you to do it. I’m not great at reviewing but just give it a try but be prepared for a grind! I’m 20hrs in roughly and I’m about half way to(current) max level so far.
Fail.
The game itself is great, but you can only play the basically test version and they keep saying they’re going to release the full version but that was literally almost 3 years ago, so it’s just a complete waste of time

I play this on PC and love the game. So I when I found out that there is an app, I downloaded it real quick. However, I have tried everything and cannot login with my google account. The game is great but the app needs the google login fixed.

Sooo it is a fun game to play, but if you do not like a lot of grinding do not get into it because it’s mainly grinding not to much else
Chat Box Ruins It
The way the chat box works is terrible. Why is it in the middle of the screen? We need to be able to move it. Minimizing defeats the purpose. Clicking any tab brings up the keyboard. I just want to read it. Don’t bring up the keyboard unless I plan on typing.

Potential Grinder MMO Crossplatform
Has major potential if they listened to feedback. I’m putting 5 stars because maybe the dev needs some love to showcase this game. Drakantos is around the corner but my niche with a family is a game I can play on the go, switch between deck and PC and mobile. This game offers it - it is super grindy but with a few tweaks can be great. Shared bank is non existent so doesn’t promote alt farming, a lot of features are locked and some redundancies of farming old mats with zero xp for more. Overall if they add an expansion and reduce the grind just a hair to freshen up the scenery it would be amazing. If the graphics showcased the armor a little more or just refined a hair it would be great too. Something quick to get into but also can invest lots of time and get out. That’s what I’m looking for. Only 4 classes - if they had maybe 6-7 and freshened up the UI (on mobile the social screen takes up half of it if it would disappear or have a smart function) would be great.
Buggy mess, and apathetic devs
Really the title. Decent at times, but honestly too grindy and unreliable. Major loss of progress and complete lack of support have driven me away. Negative review here and on steam, and a full request for my data to be deleted from the servers. Best of luck with the development of your game. Thanks.
Potential
This game reminds me a lot of a game i used to play as a kid, it was called Endless-Online. Pretty similar. This game is good but has the potential to be great. The amount of grinding needs to be adjusted.

Its so grindy early on... only one guy gives you quests to get xp. Unless im missing a notice board or other npc, they should have an "!" Mark over them on the map. Ive talked to every npc and the trapper was the only one that gave me stuff to do early on. And then there is xp drop off... equipment levels. I couldnt even take the 3 or 4th trapper quest till i was level 8 which took like 2 hours to get to. I like to try new games out but this just makes me think... "why play this over OSRS?"

This game has the most potential I’ve seen in an MMO. Absolute delight to play and interact with the community.

Top to move automatically earns one star and zero gameplay. GETS SO OLD. Why ruin games with the worst mechanics. Doesn’t even have controller support.

(Took forever to login. Finally got in and got murked by a rabbit from miles across the map. Of course there is a cash shop for a game that doesnt work. Not worth it.) This was my earlier statement based on a bad glitch I experienced. But I gave the game a second chance and it did not disappoint. It’s actually pretty fun and I am still playing. So I apologize for my previous bad review. This is worth checking out.

Classic MMO with some modern features. Cross progression between PC and mobile has been a godsend. It’s fun and for sure worth the play especially since it’s free, not pay to win, and no ads. I see lots of potential in this game.

Very sensitive developers
The developers don’t release content other than cosmetic items to be purchased only with real world money. Aside from that the developers will ban you from their discord at any sight of criticism. Lack of quests, maps to explore, things to do, not sure how they make money, oh right, the cosmetics..
Quite addicting indeed
Love the formula, very grindy. One thing I noticed is that if you open another app your world freezes so you’ll have to log off and log back in to reset, there should be a reset world button or something. Easier leveling with more crafting would be ideal ❤️
Péssimos controles
Eu vi os comentários sobre os controles e achei que tem frescuas. Baixei e mal da pra jogar com um personagem que bate a distância, os controles ficaram péssimos no mobile. O jogo é lindo e acho que tem um futuro promissor, mas, se querem manter no mobile precisam refazer esses controles urgentemente.

400+ hour player and patron banned for first offense
I can’t recommend you spend your time and money here as they don’t use a strike system for bans and will ban their most loyal players for their first offense. Not a sustainable business model.

Hello I wonder in the future of heartwood online, if it would be possible to have a report function to report people who would act inappropriately and for toxic like behaviour, mainly because I had a not so great experience with a player in the game whom typed not the most appropriate things in chat and I will not go into a decryption of what they said because I don’t want repeat the words because I find them vulgar, disrespectful and insulting. But overall good game.
