Love the game
This game is pretty good. Love the fighting and action, it’s great,
Terrible in every way
Would give zero stars if i was able to. Gameplay boring and repetitive. The summon rates are terrible. and on new summons they put the old summons characters in and you have a way better chance of getting the old ones that you are getting your new heroes that you want(they put BS percentages and try to say oh you have a higher chance to get this hero you really don’t). The team that fixes issues never fixes the problems if you need help, they basically just keep spinning you in a circle until you have to give up.

I’ve been playing for way over a year and as much as I love Eminence it’s hard to stick with this no matter how hard I try. I saved up 20k gems after months of skipping and just wasted it all on a 150% perfect up banner to not even get a single SS let alone the one I’m pulling for. It’s the same thing every time. Even if you put money in, hundred of dollars later and still not even close to to getting them. I understand every game needs to make money but no way after a year all my gems gone and not 1 character I wanted. If you want to replay the story then play the game and push through watching the characters do the same thing over and over and over and over again. If you are not a big fan don’t bother. Even after spending money you’ll not be satisfied
Fun but Overpriced.
The game is fun and has great visuals. But the gacha mechanics are rough. Pull rates are very low and the premium currency is outrageously expensive. Its difficult to get the characters you want.

Linking system needs improvement
I usually don’t give reviews (just 4-5 stars if I like the game) but I feel like I need to give proper feedback on this game. First of all love the story and how it mixes light novel information with the anime, unique story events are super fun, the gear and rank system is unique and fun to grind when I’m not busy and as abysmal as the summoning rates are it’s fun and rewarding when you finally pull the character you wanted (seriously though please improve the rates for the tutorial summon, I feel like one guaranteed SS character isn’t too much to ask for). With all the good points covered let’s talk about why I gave it a 3 star rating: the linking system is by far the worst I have ever seen, I feel like most players like having side accounts to play on when the grind of the main seems like too much hassle, that said it’s kind of hard to have a side account when somehow they all have the same binding, or when you want to delete an account and find out it’s somehow still linked even though you’ve deleted 4 separate times. I’ve lost accounts and money because of this system but I keep coming back because I love the game in its entirety. Sorry it’s been so wordy but to summarize my critiques of improvement are: summoning rates, stamina and the most important the linking system. I feel like it could be solved with a login system. Ex: player I.D. and a password, they don’t login for a certain amount of time; delete their account. This gives players a reliable way to login and have side accounts while ensuring that if they want to keep account they login and play. Ok that’s enough from me, if you got this far thank you, stay safe and have a good rest of your day!

Game size says 392 MBS, no where near a full gig and I can’t even get passed start screen because it says I don’t have enough storage even though I have 12 gigs available?? Loved the show, would like to play the game and I know I need a phone upgrade but I think it should still be able to be playable on an iPhone 14.

Constant crashing
I love the game soooo much, the animation and characters designs are flawless, but my is constantly crashing and I can’t figure out what to do.
Rigged
I’ve been a fan of this game for awhile and have played it since it first came out. It’s been great I like how they do the collaboration events with other shows but the pull rates are so bad. You can buy the gems to get more chances to pull the characters and after 17 pulls I And $129 down the drain I have still yet to get an ss character nor the event character. It wouldn’t be that big of a deal except the collaboration characters never show up in the game again after there event. It’s all a money grab to spend money. Done with this game
Typical
To get anywhere of importance in the game with characters you have to spend loads of money and your still not guaranteed to get the character your pulling for. I remember when I first started they had special characters achieved via quest steps I loved that idea. Also you used to be able to combine shards for new characters they also took that away, and moved to you must draw or you don’t get it. Guess what you have to pay for most draws
Can use some tweaking
The progression rate is ridiculous. For example, if you wanted to unlock all of 1 of the characters entire dialogue chat options you would have to play for at least 2 months straight. Upgrading the magic furnace is the same, you can only do a weekly raid to slowly upgrade it but the rewards are way too little to help you get stronger, even after 5 months I’ve unlocked what, 1/30th of it? However devs did a good job in other aspects, Claire wears a very beautiful ballroom dress!
ADD SETTINGS FPS
How can you play at 24-30 fps? It's awful, my eyes hurt. Absolutely all games have a frame rate change function, but this one doesn't. The game is more than 3 years old, and it feels like nothing has been added to it except for donations. Are you seriously unable to add a basic function?
Don’t crash for me
iPhone 15 no crash for me and games play well juste a bit too much talking in the game for me and if you play on an old phone maybe upgrade or une a pc instead of putting bad reviews juste bc u can’t afford a better cellphone
Fun game, on the rare occasion it works
Game is really fun, I love the anime and therefore this is great. But I physically cannot play it because every time I go into 5-3 on the campaign it crashes. Hopefully one day they’ll get round to fixing that but it seems like a problem that gets worse and worse with each update. Having played since launch it’s always been an issue but it’s now reached a point that the game is unplayable. Having said that, unless it’s fixed I can’t see myself redownloading the game until it actually works
Very great game but one problem

Enjoyable
I personally love the game but I play on mobile so I will sometimes crash but that’s really the only setback. If you want to play a kinda grindy gacha game this is just right. The devs are nice with pulls and there is a good amount of content what I can really say there is tons of power creep some characters are definitely better than others but what game is not like that. But I have been playing for a long time and can say I enjoy the game very much and just enjoy Eminence In Shadow as a whole so I will be a little biased.

It’s a great game but once you play everything and you run out of gems then you’re just wasting your time on something pointless like waiting for an event so you can be so unlucky you lose everything on the gamble, I’m f2p and I love this game but there’s a limit to what I enjoy
Good, but crashes
Just downloaded it Looks very promising, generous rewards, etc However my issue was upon the first three minutes of playing i crashed twice They werent that close together but still ever so slightly bugging Overall seems pretty good
Love the anime game not so much
Seems rushed has great story and side stories to add to main over all love for anime but the combat system is just too outdated could have went better and had a proper rpg… problems is actual having to do updates every time log in to having to uninstall as it hits 15gb in storage for all the time ya having to download more content it just a rushed out game with multiple problems. But let down is it a cheap knock off of a game that you don’t even play I would have suggested they went like bleach or sword art as this doesn’t do anime any justice… sure great additions to story that’s if can sit or spend a lot just to move on in story saga with cut scenes exc makes it ok just it not like ya even play a game like I disappointed but it has more depth in story and side stories along with same events for holidays that really aren’t anything new but useless to the actual anime story itself tbh but everyone needs to have characters that are holiday specials but with the combat been so outdated and lacking that not really worth it sonic for sega Mario if had to go a route would have been so much better than this but hey it is what it is a rushed out mess that in future hopefully something decent will be released as this not worth the time or effort…
It’s Good but not Great
The game is full of stories and quest to do. Visual effects are cool. Building your units take a lot of work. The gacha ratings in pulling SS units is pretty bad but it’s expected from a for-profit game. But the biggest issue and area of opportunity is the stamina limit. There shouldn’t be a daily cap on it. Most gacha games don’t have that limitation. If the developers can remove the daily limit for stamina so players can develop their units, I think it will take my review to a 4 star.
Recommended for Anime fans
I really enjoy the game graphics and awesome cutscenes that make it feel like a home theater experience. I am excited to see all of the alternate story lines and unlock new characters!
Trash patch server
Download 9 gigs to 100%. Then get another round of downloads where I get a message saying my download is too slow. I tried to reinstall and got the same loop. Maybe I could give it more than 1 star if I ever saw the game.
Not to bad
Most crashes are fixed but do not spend money over 40$ for a 10x summon not even close to worth it. Little grindy but fun and good amount of unique content
Currency
Th game is fun, but I can see the it is a massive cash grab attempt. Having to spend on “deals” you are almost showing players need to spend over big amounts of money for one character of choice. Even the basic summon pools are catered more towards paying
P2W
Game is fun and good BUT doesn’t give you anything to level up your team. You barely get anything and the exp from quest is literally irrelevant. Anything you need in the game you have to buy even the exp for your team.
My One Issue
Personally this game is great. From the story telling to the epic animated scenes this game has been nothing but amazing in my eyes. I absolutely love the difficulty to get rewards and the gameplay. In addition, the constant events that roll through help keep the game refreshing. However, I harbor one issue with this game. It’s too large. This game takes up GBs of storage on my phone and absolutely clogged up my iCloud storage. If this game wasn’t so good i wouldn’t be worrying about my storage on my device. Other than that this game is worth the time if you enjoyed The Eminence in Shadow series, and I really enjoy the expansion on the lore through the shadow chronicles. The game is also great at expanding on the relationships between characters as we get to see different perspectives throughout the game.

To pull on the gatcha Is way to expensive their a 10 pull costs like 30 dollars and their pity isn’t until 200 pulls to get a banner character it is unaffordable unless you want to spend 10s of thousands of dollars and if you have that money you probably would get more enjoyment if you spent it on Genshin instead please lower the price 99% of people won’t be able to afford to pay for this game
Doesn’t work
I just got the game and upon loading into the tap to start game part, I tap and it starts to load. It says connecting to api server but I wait for more than 10 minutes and it just doesn’t load. Im not sure if it’s a bug or if it’s because of my current location but I hope I get a response on why this might be

The game is good but
When I got a new device i couldnt get my account back that was linked using Facebook, could you do something about it? For now i give it a 4 star.
Why
I would really like to play the game love the anime but any time I load in the game freezes on the loading screen. I have deleted the game and reinstalled the game and I’ve tried to delete my account even though I’ve never played and it hasn’t worked. I’m still stuck on the main screen.

Once again, this game is ruined by constant crashing. Can’t LV up characters, can’t do the item-specific stage selection, can’t accept rewards for completing missions. Heck, it took deleting the app twice, repairing game data, and updating my OS just to get me past the title screen. And I’m sure instead of an actual fix, I’m gonna receive the bot cookie-cutter response “make sure your other apps are closed. Make sure you have at least 10G of data free on your device. Try repairing app data.”
This game works as supplementary material for the anime.
Aside from performance issues, even with an iPhone 12 Pro Max, the game pretty much makes it up for the extra world building, lore, and character progression material not in the anime.
Misleading Sales Page
If you play the game and intent to spend money on paid gems reconsider it. The sales page in the game is purposefully misleading. The sales page for their in game paid currency is like some other games in that they have one time offers of X paid gems and states you get a bonus of x extra gems. It clearly implies the bonus gems are paid gems and makes no indication otherwise. However the bonus gems are part of the regular currency. I bought a small pack to try the game out and noticed I didn’t receive and bonus gems as paid gems. When I submitted a ticket they advised bonus gems are regular in game currency ones.
