Mooz is much better for singing than Zoom
I’ve been using Mooz for more than a year now and it really has been extremely in my virtual voice lessons. No matter what I did in Zoom I still could not hear the upper frequencies of my students’ voices and they could not hear mine, even with original sound for musicians on. So, thank you Mooz for making my lessons much more enjoyable. I love all the features of being able to connect my keyboard, upload sounds and sheet music, and the sound has been just great the majority of the time. Thanks you!
Doesn’t not live up to the promises
Every single time I had a virtual lesson, the video quality was very low and very rarely would it jump up to full high Duff resolution. I have an extremely fast Internet connection and most of my students do as well so I know it’s not an issue with the internet. Also, the audio quality was very fuzzy and anytime there was a slight noise in the background for my and it would mute the incoming audio from my students, even though I had audio sync on. I’ve checked all of my settings to see if it was something wrong on my end or my students end and we had everything set up correctly. At one time the app was worth it because they had an audio settings that they’re competitors did not have, where you could only transmit spoken voice and everything else would cancel out. Now that the competitor offers the same feature for a significantly less and I’m getting full high resolution video and audio there’s no point in spending the money on this app. On top of that, somehow they managed to get my previous review removed. So who knows how many other bad reviews are getting removed and how they’re accomplishing that

Me encantan las herramientas especializadas de audio para incluir distintas entradas de audio como mi interfaz, pedalera, micrófono, etc Las múltiples cameras son muy útiles para tener una cámara enfocada en el instrumento y una enfocada en mi rostro para conversar con el alumno. La opción de compartir un link directo de Youtube y compartir sin necesidad de abrir el navegador o compartir pantalla es muy útil para optimizar la señal de internet y carga de la computadora. Me encantaría que hicieran lo mismo con Spotify.
OK when it works…which is fairly hit and miss
I teach a couple of students online, mostly I teach face-to-face, and I initially thought this app was very good. However, we had issues with sync-ing backing tracks to live playing, and now my student can’t even see or hear me, despite updating, calibrating, etc. And within the lesson he couldn’t see/hear me, then he could, then he coudn’t again (we restarted the app to try and fix the sync issue.) so I’ve spent nearly 45 mins with a student, with a frustrating experience all round, not got any teaching or learning done, and of course I can’t charge him for this so I’ve lost money too, and time. I just can’t recommend this app for serious teachers, and I’ll be looking for a full refund, it’s been generally abysmal and customer support aren’t exactly busting a gut to help. So the hunt for something better than this begins.

Great App For lessons!
Mooz is my go to app for teaching online music lessons. It is far better than zoom. I like that there is also a timer to track how long a lesson has been going.
Мобильное приложение не работает
Верните обратно корректную работу с телефона, это было максимально удобно и возможно в любом месте. Неделю назад обращалась в поддержку, сказали - все будет работать, но рекомендуют с компьютера. Мне нужно не так много функций, а только самые базовые - совершать звонок, синхронный звук и воспроизводить песни. Сейчас же мобильное приложение вообще ничего не позволяет, сразу экран «установите на компьютер», там даже иконки «связаться с поддержкой» сразу в приложении нет. Хотя повторюсь - неделю назад это еще было возможным и сказали после оплаты тарифа все будет. А что теперь?! Даже оплатить не могу
Better than Zoom
It's got a few glitches here and there, but has generally been much better than Zoom. Sound quality is generally good, and lag isn't too bad. I'm still using the free version as I only do a small amount of online teaching - it's appreciated that I can do a full hour lesson without needing the paid version (which contains loads of features that I don't really need.) Whenever I report an issue I get a follow up from support very quickly.
Not as good as they claim it is.
I have been using the paid version of Mooz for a few months now, and it's been a constant disappointment. The audio quality was never very god, nor was the video. Anytime I would start speaking or playing along with my students, their audio would completely cut out. I decided to do a test comparison with ZOOM and found that the video and audio quality was significantly higher, and would stay that way through out the entire lesson. And the cost does not reflect the level of service provided. A year ago I understood why it was maybe a better option, as ZOOM's audio didn't have the "original sound for musicians" option in their audio setting. I don't think the servers you are using are big enough to handle your services at high quality.
Good idea implemented badly
The idea behind this app is great but the sound quality is nowhere near “studio quality”. It’s not even up to the standard of a bad AM radio. As a matter of fact it is equivalent to Zoom with “Original Sound”. We tested specifically with a cello, where sustained notes were compressed to the point of inaudibility. We checked multiple configurations (with/without external mics, with/without headphones, ipads, iphones, macbooks) and multiple apps. MOOZ sounded no better than the other apps did when they were “optimized for musicians”. One standout exception was Facetime with the “Wide Spectrum” setting which was the best of all we tested. (We tested MOOZ, ZOOM, Facetime, FB Messenger, and a couple of other videoconference apps on the app store). The MOOZ connection is nowhere near “low latency”. We determined to use Facetime with the “Wide Spectrum” setting. The subscription cost being zero, the sound and video quality being superior, makes it a great choice. Again the idea behind this app is a good one but it’s just not up to the hype at this date.
This platform has lots of potential
As a full-time music educator, I’ve spent the last several months using MOOZ.pro to teach over 40 students. When I first began using the platform with a smaller group, I was genuinely excited. MOOZ is designed specifically for music lessons, and it shows—there are thoughtful features like an audio player for my voice students that go beyond what general video platforms like Zoom or Google Meet offer. It was a refreshing change and felt promising. Because of this, I transitioned my entire student roster to MOOZ. The vision behind the platform is clear: to create a space where music instruction can thrive with minimal distractions and seamless integration of tools. I genuinely believe in that mission. However, as with any growing technology, expanding the platform's use brought some challenges to light—connectivity issues, audio and video inconsistencies, and difficulties with screen sharing among them. And as of now, the mobile/tablet app has been classified as a “helper” app and tech support does not recommend using it, but suggests everyone uses a PC for lessons. This worries me due to accessibility for all students and even teachers, as a lot of people can’t afford a PC and only have a phone or a tablet. That said, what gives me hope is that the MOOZ tech team has been responsive to my feedback, and I can tell they’re actively working to improve the platform. They've already addressed several bugs and have taken note of other issues I’ve flagged. I also really hope they continue to develop and improve the mobile/tablet app to ensure accessibility to everyone who wants to take lessons. It’s also worth mentioning that MOOZ doesn’t currently offer a web-based version, which can be limiting for families using Linux computers or Fire tablets and can’t download the app to their device. For some devices there is a work around this, but it's something to keep in mind. I'm excited about what MOOZ has to offer and I'm looking forward to seeing it constantly improve and grow.

Clear Sound!
The sound in the app is Clear! As a voice teacher, that's the number one element I need in voice lessons. Frequencies are all there, me and my student's sound don't cut off, not even in high pitch, loud and projected notes, and we can sing and play with another instrument without interruptions. It's easy and friendly to use for my younger students as well. There are still some bugs or elements that aren't perfect, but it seems the developers are constantly improving and updating the app, and they are very quick to respond when contacting support. It's the best app for online music lessons I've used- and I've used most of what's available.

O app não entrega nada do prometido, o audio do aluno vem mto baixo. A função de gravar aula não funciona. Dei uma aula de 2 hrs e coloquei pra gravar, no final ele não salvou a gravação, e eu tinha assinado, cancelei minha assinatura.

Por favor activen la opción de compartir pantalla y grabar sesión para los usuarios de iPad. La app es muy buena pero las opciones para trabajo en dispositivos móviles es limitada.

Приложение удобное, но есть важные моменты, которые бы доработать: 1) самое главное - с телефона приложение на работает в фоне, если переходишь куда-то скопировать текст в браузер и т.п. Было бы круто, чтобы как вотсап - звонок не прерывался и не зависал, пока я копирую текст для ученика или открыла телеграмм. 2) немного странно, что моё изображение не как обычно, а зеркально. Лучше бы перевернуть как обычно. 3) в чат текст не копируется по абзацам, сливается в единый текст. Для песен это критически важно. 4) было бы круто чтобы плеер становился полупрозрачным, когда нажимаешь на изображение ученика. А то ученика почти не видно, когда я открыла плеер. 5) прекрасно было бы если бы иконку ученика можно было уменьшить и перемещать. 6) если бы синхронизацию можно было включить в независимости играет плеер или нет, просто на звонке, то было бы понятней как ученик поет распевки, попадает или нет в клавиши учителя. 7) если выйти в другое приложение, то вернувшись иногда не слышу ученика. А так отличное приложение, спасибо! Синхронизация во время включения плеера отличная! Удобно !
Needs work
I use the app as a student rather than tutor and it has been problematic. I am using an iPad at My end and there are bugs in the app that means although I can hear my teacher he cannot hear me. Sometimes the sound output diverts to Bluetooth for no reason and I was hit by the bug which causes a jingle to drown out the tutor. It continually asks to check my microphone and sometimes when I open a menu I cannot get it close again obscuring the lesson. When it works it will be great but it is riddled with bugs right now.
Sound quality
The sound settings in MOOZ are simple and straightforward. No need to go deep down a rabbit hole to figure out optimal sound settings—Mooz’s sound quality is superior to other platforms I’ve used to teach lessons.
Not ready for prime time
I have taught well over 10,000 virtual guitar lessons. Mooz is not ready to go. It is buggy. I tried a session with a student who has done scores of lessons with me. Mooz would not allow us to use it's any of the functions, he was on a windows machine & I was using my MacBook Pro. When I contacted tech support about these issues, they were no help. Russian based. Zoom just works, Mooz doesn't. Annoying app and company.

O aplicativo tem boas propostas, boas promessas mas não entrega o que é necessário pra uma boa aula de música online. Muitos problemas com áudio e com a entrega de som e imagem sincronizado. O suporte é enrolado, não respondem aos alunos quando eles tem problemas com o aplicativo, enfim. Uma pena, espero que melhorem.

Não permite aulas em grupo
O principal concorrente deste app é o zoom, que além de som de excelente qualidade oferece toda uma plataforma para conferências e negócios. Mas pensando em aulas de música, seria excelente ter ao menos a possibilidade de realizar uma aula em grupo, com muitos alunos na mesma sala, mesmo que algumas das funções de sincronia não estejam disponíveis. Atualmente, pago U$ 15 por mês para o zoom por esta função. Certamente migraria para a plataforma MOOZ se essa função de aulas em grupo com até 100 participantes estivesse disponível.

Хороший звук, но только, когда он есть. Сегодня снова сорвался урок у меня с учителем из-за того, что сначала то у меня не было звука, то у учителя. Заходили с разных устройств, перезагружали все, но результат один и тот же. Один из 5 уроков срывается по этой причине. Это очень печально.
Ideal for musicians — it sounds like marketing, but it’s tru
I’m a vocal coach and had been looking for something like this. What impressed me the most about MOOZ is that it solved a big problem I had with other meeting apps: they’re not designed for musicians and usually suppress the voice when singing. A huge plus is that I can sync my microphone vocals with the tracks I play, and it works perfectly for both my students and myself. Now I don’t have to guess where in the song we are—that’s a game changer for me. I think there’s still room for improvement, especially in the audio loading speed during live classes, but overall this app is amazing.

Latency when using the service prevents us from using it correctly. Cannot use it. Requested refund via email and no response.

Es una muy buena aplicación, pero tiene la limitación que no me permite compartir el audio de las pestañas de internet, de un video por ejemplo. Cuando intento hacerlo dice "debes actualizar tu mac a una versión 13 o superior" el tema es que ya hablécon el soporte y me indicaron que eso estaba solucionado, volvi a descargar la app y sigue apareciendo, será que se puede arreglar? gracias!

Mentira! Melhor que o zoom? Talvez um pouco! Mas não, não entrega! Usei um mac novo! Minha exposa testou comigo usando um iPhone 13 pro max. Nós dois em uma excelente conexão! Não sincroniza! Tudo com delay, teclado chega muito atrasado, não dá pra vocalizar. Reprodutor também sem sincronia, Tudo mentira, não entrega o que promete, mesmo sendo um pouco melhor que o zoom!

Mooz to the rescue! I have been struggling with Zoom for online voice lessons since the pandemic. Audio issues-sound glitches, screen "freezes" and frustrating DELAY! Mooz has solved all these issues and creates a seamless experience for both teacher and student. Great customer service also!
Bring back Dark Mode
Since you guys are new, I'll clue you in on the fact that nobody, but nobody, but nobody likes to have their theme changed inside an app by the developer. And who likes light mode, except for old ladies?? Are they teaching lessons online? switch it back.
Teacher point of view
I am a teacher and an active traveling performer. And while I love the in person lessons, I get such guilt from not being able to be there when I have to travel. Now, while it is still new in development not yet fully able to be used on Tablets or IPads, there is so much potential! Finally, a program where teachers can actually hear the syncing between the students music, piano, and voice. No delays, a metronome to keep tempo, and hearing high pitches without struggle. I truly hope more investors and others help collaborate and make this program grow! Thank you for actually helping the art world grow and expand to even others who cant have that in person experience and now… giving hope that there is technology who can’t have in person lesson about to give to others that same feeling without breaking the bank!

I’ve been using Mooz for over a year and it’s my go to solution! It gave me so much joy with my vocal teacher. The sound is clear and better then in any other app.
Won’t quit or force quit!
Be warned that this app will not quit or even force quit. My Mac mini would not restart or shut down. I had to do a hard reset and then I could delete the app. Make sure to uncheck “open windows” before doing this. Not cool man, not cool.

Esperaba una aplicación como esta. Soy profesora de música y la he estado probando durante dos semanas. Algunos aspectos positivos que puedo resaltar, son la baja latencia, la incorporación de metrónomo, de teclado midi y el uso de varias cámaras simultáneas. Aspectos negativos: el compartir pantalla no funciona. En múltiples ocasiones, la aplicación se queda pegada, tratando de compartir pantalla completa. En la opción de compartir un archivo, resulta tedioso para poder cargarlo a la plataforma para luego mostrarlo. Además, es un proceso lento. La sesión para el estudiante también debiera tener control para compartir pantalla o para modificar el metrónomo, también se deberían incorporar otros sonidos para diferenciar los tiempos fuertes. Se agradecen las mejoras en torno al micrófono y la reducción de ruido. Honestamente no sé si compre la aplicación. Estos puntos negativos señalados me parecen imprescindibles.
O som só ficou “crystal clear” usando fones.
Sou professor de guitarra, violão e baixo. Funciona, mas tenho algumas ressalvas. Espero que solucionem rapidamente. Estou esperançoso por uma alternativa para o Zoom, que é caro demais para quem faz reuniões individuais. 1. O som só ficou bom usando fones, mesmo desligando o “noise canceling”, ainda houve muitos cortes do som e no timbre das guitarras. 2. Não consegui ouvir o aluno sincronizado com o backing track ou o metrônomo, mesmo calibrando várias vezes o microfone. 3. Sinto falta dos contatos do Zoom, que posso chamar no momento em que quiser. Deveria haver também uma sala de espera. 4. Não consigo enviar os pdfs com o material das aulas para o aluno através do software. 5. Não consigo selecionar qual câmera usar, o software escolhe aleatoriamente uma das câmeras conectadas ao meu computador, sempre a errada.
Musicians will love it
It’s a very convenient application for both teachers and students. It works perfectly, has excellent navigation, and functional capabilities such as adjusting the sound, correcting the image, etc. I recommend it to everyone because I haven’t come across anything better yet. I also like the unobtrusive design, which makes it easier to perceive incoming information.
My student asked if we could go back to Zoom…
As a full-time music educator, I was initially excited about MOOZ.pro. During the first few months of using it with a small group of students, the platform performed well. It felt thoughtfully designed for music instruction, and I appreciated its streamlined features. Based on that experience, I moved all 40+ of my students over to MOOZ. Once I made that transition, the platform began falling short—right as the pricing increased. One of the most disruptive problems is that MOOZ often kicks students (and me) out of lesson rooms. During a 30-minute session, one student was disconnected four times. MOOZ said my internet was unstable, but multiple speed tests showed otherwise. I later learned from support that the message reflects the student’s internet quality, not mine—misleading me to troubleshoot the wrong issue. Support told me they couldn’t help unless my seven-year-old student ran a speed test—unrealistic and impossible within the MOOZ app on mobile, which blocks access to using multiple apps during lessons. “Run a speed test” is their go-to solution for every issue. Many students are too young or are using phones or tablets that prevent this. This wastes lesson time. I’ve extended unpaid lessons or switched to Zoom mid-session—disruptive and frustrating for everyone. I’ve repeatedly asked to schedule a call with a tech expert to discuss ongoing problems. I’ve never received follow-up or confirmation. At one point, I was locked out of my own lesson room mid-lesson. Support responded slowly, and their suggested fix (log out and back in) didn’t work. I had to create a new lesson room and share it with 40+ families. In the meantime, I moved all lessons back to Zoom for a day just to continue working. If a student has slower internet speeds, MOOZ sometimes won’t even let them into the lesson room after I’ve admitted them—it repeatedly kicks them out until I switch platforms. Screen sharing is full of problems that make it nearly unusable for music lessons: •Audio quality is poor. A student said it sounds like a pirated movie. •If a student sings, plays, or talks while I’m screen sharing audio, the screen share audio cuts out—defeating the purpose of using it. •Sometimes it kicks me out of the meeting. •Sometimes it tells me I’m sharing, but the student sees nothing. •Sometimes it keeps sharing even after I stop. Other recurring issues: •Switching cameras causes my video to freeze or disappear. •Occasionally, students see two video feeds of me until I restart the meeting. •Robotic or glitchy student audio. •Noise suppression doesn’t actually suppress background noise—it just makes my mic too quiet for students to hear. •MOOZ uses far more bandwidt h than Zoom or Google Meet, making it unreliable for students with limited speeds. The audio player is another problem: •When using it, I can barely hear my students, even with their mic calibrated and my volume at 1%. •Students say the audio is too quiet or inaudible. •The suggested fix is headphones, but not all families have them—making this solution inaccessible. MOOZ also lacks a browser version. Students must download the app. This is a barrier for those using Linux or Fire tablets. Outside tech experts I’ve spoken with say adding a browser-based version would be simple and would solve many access issues. On top of this, I regularly deal with frustrated and angry parents and students who expect reliable lessons. These disruptions reflect poorly on me, even though they’re not my fault. As of May 8, 2025, a student asked if we can please continue using Zoom because “every time we use MOOZ, there’s an issue.” This was disheartening to hear. I switched to MOOZ hoping to make lessons easier for students. Instead, it’s been filled with constant troubleshooting and complications. To their credit, MOOZ has addressed some problems—like the “waiting for teacher” bug—but many remain unresolved. I still believe in MOOZ’s concept and hope the platform seriously addresses these issues soon. I want to continue using it reliably—without ever needing to move a student back to Zoom mid-lesson again. But if these problems continue in the coming months, I’ll have no choice but to move all students back to Zoom permanently to provide the consistent, accessible, and professional experience they deserve.
