What people like
- Cute character and nice outfits
- Makes walking feel like a game
- Friends can join and compete
What they complain about
- Steps don't sync with your watch
- Keeps logging you out randomly
- App says under maintenance often
- Ads interrupt gameplay constantly
Got my friends to join!
I really enjoy the camaraderie you get when having a group of friends just tracking their steps. Before it felt fun on my own, but it’s better now with a small feeling of competition. Originally i was trying to look fot an app similar to my company’s walking challenge after it ended. This one is much more fun with dressing up the character and daily goals. One piece of feedback i guess I would have is possibly more daily/weekly goals. I feel more motivated when i see a new one popping up right when I complete one—“I guess I’ll do 1500 more steps”. I think i saw one recently for the weekend as a push goal, if you had more similar I think it’ll help more people like me that enjoy the mystery box prizes Can’t wait to start getting back into running with this app🤗👍🏼
Good but annoying
Stop asking for a review every time a mission is completed
WiFi reliance
The app is very well made, though I wish it could be used offline so that steps can be counted without connection.
Walking Charlie Review
I like the app, however, it chooses random days not to track any steps at all despite all other step apps, such as the general fitness app, will count steps for the same day. There seems to be no way to correct this.
New options to explore
Unable to send messages to friends on the app. It will be cool if we can just chat with friends on the app & also more interactive features
Love!! But more!!
Can you do a chat room function for everyone in the same house?? Also a ranking board too would be nice
too many popups for review
too many popups for review
very good app, just one minor issue
this app is very good motivation to get your steps in. i just wish you could connect a fitness watch to track ur steps too so that it counts that.. my charlie is very obese when he should be at a healthy weight bc i don’t carry my phone everywhere. other than that, great app!
Logged out
My bf and I got randomly logged out and now we can’t get back in. We tried signing in but it’s making us start all over again by making us create a new account which would mean losing all our data and outfits. This sucks.
Steps walked were wrong
Frustrating that this app autonatically deducts the total steps walked! As compared to having a Garmin watch, it is off by at least 300 steps in 1 hour!
👍
Good
Deactivated
I cannot express this frustration! The app keeps logging me out and it wont let me sign in - says my account doesn’t exist? I had to make a second account and lost all my outfits and donuts. And today my second account got logged out and wont log in again!
Inop Ads
Recently I have been unable to close out the ads for donuts
Số bước bị thiếu
Số bước không khớp, chênh lệch rất nhiều. Vd ở app Health ở iPhone & smart watch đều tầm 5000 bước nhưng trong app chỉ 2300.
Fun based
If you want accuracy then forget it… Play it for fun… The accuracy is like 2000+ steps short than the actual steps you made…
Love walking my charlie
Really love this app for such a fun way to force myself to walk! the items are so cute and creative. It’d be great if we can gift, sell or trade items too one day!
Never able to use
Everytime I open this app it says under maintenance. I try different times of the day, multiple times and days in a row and everytime it says to check back later :/ I even get notifications about challenges and things but never able to use
Good
I like everything. Motivates me to stay healthy. Invited lot of friends. Only few things: If you upgrade the house, there should be certain perks that come along with it (ex: more donuts or mini games) Also in the house u should let us see how many donuts each person donated. I hope you guys continue to update and add more stuff
Steps are not synced
I’ve linked my app to my garmin/ amazfit watches and health apps but the steps are not synced so my Charlie keeps getting chubbier;( but i absolutely loved the game and the way they reward us with new outfits Definitely be revisiting this review later if there’s any amendments
Glitch made me lose my streak
I absolutely loved this app at first as it is very cute and also surprisingly actually motivated me to walk 5,000 steps each day. I was getting into incredibly healthy habits. But then… one day, after my hard earned six pack, I found that for some reason, in the middle of the night (9pm) my Charlie had gained weight even though the day had not ended and I was on track to hitting 5k steps. After that something in me cracked and I lost all motivation. Now I have ceased walking that many steps a day. I feel robbed and cheated of my six pack.
Fun
Fun
doesn’t work
wont let me log in with either of the options
Chat feature
Would be nice to have a chat feature in the house, makes or it more interactive and fun!
whats up with 3 day maintenance
had this app for a couple of weeks, its cute and its a fun way to track steps, but all of a sudden the app is under maintenance for the 3rd time in a row this week, unable to open app and unknown when maintenance will finish and now i believe itll keep doing this
Can’t connect with Fitbit
I have a Fitbit which is by google, so all my steps are on google health. But Charlie automatically connects to the apple health app since I have an iPhone. I wish I could’ve chosen where to get the steps data so that I don’t have to download a third party app to transfer my steps from google health to apple health.

Apple health not synced properly :/ -great app idea
it’s been mentioned multiple times by other users that the app doesn’t sync correctly with apple health. i wish this was actually addressed since this would be a big deterrent of someone playing and enjoying the game. the developer went on reddit to ask for recommendations or suggestions for the app, only three people commented, one being another user that was pointing out that the steps don’t sync properly asking for a fix, developer didn’t reply to this user but did to the other two comments on the post, which was disheartening to see when i had searched to see if someone else was having my issue, only to see people do have my issue it’s just ignored. i would spend money and truly enjoy this app if i wasnt getting robbed out of steps in the thousands. there are other reviews left on the app pointing out the issue of the app not counting all of your health data but there still hasn’t been a fix or even a “hey yeah i know that’s a problem!! currently working on it!” i will adjust my review once the issue has been addressed, i would love to see the app grow but with it not syncing properly it’s very difficult to want to use the app, i hope you can understand that.
Including Females
It’s pretty good and there are no complaints. I do think it would be fun if there was a female character too, that way some of the clothes look better.
Not accurate, always underestimating, makes it not fun
It is very cute, and I like the customizations ! I found it very motivating at first to get my steps in .. until I realized it doesn’t accurately count it. I use an Apple Watch that tracks my steps, but then my phone also has its own separate step tracker. Somehow, Charlie is ALWAYS several thousand below what BOTH of those apps say, despite the fact it should at least have access to the same data as my phone. Data between my watch and phone isn’t 100% accurate, but it’s never multiple thousands off. I will usually wait to see if the app will update or if it buffers, but consistently it just refuses to count my steps. If it’s my fault and not the app’s, please let me know
weird comments
this app would be so much better if it didn’t literally fat shame people. that’s insane, why am i getting notifications everyday about how my friends are “getting chubbier” especially when they haven’t even started their days yet / been able to walk. that’s ridiculous
gets you out
amazing app, motivating and rewarding, love the social aspect too
Doesn’t work properly
Doesn’t sync right with Apple health? I’ll walk 10k steps for the badge and extras but it’ll only say 3k. Then if I go to the house I joined it literally says I got 0 steps… I wanted to join in on the fun but if it can’t be sync’d properly with your actual steps that’s included with an Apple Watch this app is a failure.
Fun app
Would be good if there is a chat function within the house and more social function for the footprints such as likes and comments
Cute, but…
I love the concept of this app, and it makes me want to walk more. However, the steps keep glitching. Please fix this issue ASAP!!!
swole charlie
yes
Houses and Donuts
Does not let you create a house also does not let you get your stored donuts out of your house as well as getting your stored donuts after deleting a house
Cute!!
The app is cute and motivating- is there anyway that you could connect other health apps such as oura to track steps?
Doesn’t Sync with Apple Watch
The app has a good reward system and is really fun but it doesn’t sync with my apple watch. I don’t go on runs with my phone on me and I don’t usually carry my phone around everywhere. If it can sync with the apple health app and count the steps my apple watch tracks this app would be great.
굿

Useless
not easy to use and very few useful features on the app. the steps glitch out all of the time and never match with my REAL fitness app so it’s no point downloading it. If you want to track ur steps use Pedometer or the regular step app built into ur phone
Does this work with oura rings?
This is a fun app and it motivates me to do my steps. Now, I want to know if this will sync/work with oura ring.
no watch steps
I love this app, it's so cute. But I did have to delete it as the steps don't sync up with my watch. I work a very active job and can't hold my phone 24/7 so over 80% of my steps weren't counted.
no connection to garmin
Would be great if my garmin watch could connect to the app to update my step count instead of connecting to apple health since I don't have an apple watch that tracks my steps throughout the day. When i try manually inputting steps into apple health to match my garmin step count, it doesn't reflect those additional steps on the charlie app Update: you can prioritize garmin as the main source of data for apple health and it updates whenever you sync garmin/phone. Works great now! 5/5
Won’t Load
I would love to use this app but it just says ‘loading’ every time I log into it :(
🩷
the app is so cute, simple, and counts my steps. the only complain i would have is that i wish they gave a new challenge EVERYday. when i first joined the app the first week they gave me a small challenge of walking 8k, 5k, 7k but then after day 40 they just stop. it sort of made me lose motivation in a way.
Great but inacccurate
I love that they gameified walking and getting our steps in. I wish it was a bit more accurate though with apple health. Like for example today I walked 13,000 steps but it says Charlie only walked 4000, so it can be discouraging when you actually put in the effort.
