Fun but
In 6 years of playing the game you have to spend a lot of money to get back very little… love it but it’s hard to build any type of fleet because it takes FOREVER AND COST A LOT TOO.. fun game… don’t expect anything good in purchasing creates…
Not Xbox or IPad friendly
Ever try to redeem codes for this game on Xbox? lol! a joke! Have you ever tried to play any tier higher than 6 on IPad? lol! Another joke this game is only for computers because the authors are not in tune with other platforms not using keyboards.
Constant Crashes
Good game and well transferred to a smaller version. However, I can’t play a single game without the game crashing. In a game where one wrong move gets you killed, that’s not ideal. I would describe it as just about playable and I will continue to do so. Hope they fix it in the future but there is a review 1 year old saying the same…

Why I don’t like this game
Your spending money just to get good ships like a tier eight for like 150 pounds and then you get destroyed by players much better than you and it just makes you like unhappy

Very good but lacks the good graphics that the console version has.
Two words - NO balance
I have been playing the game heavily for about a month now and it CAN be a ton of fun but 90% of the time it just leads to frustration. The frustration comes in from no combat balance whatsoever, the lack of any discernible criteria to matchmaking so as a brand new player, you will battle against the most veteran players with the best ships and commanders that are upgraded to the max and you are canon fodder. You will get knocked out of the battle quickly. While getting killed early and often is expected when you are fighting against the strongest or the strong, it isn’t a big thing. What is a big thing is the fact that when you are knocked out, you cannot use your ship until the battle is completely over and a winner is declared. Basically, if you get knocked out at the start and your ship is unusable for another 10+ minutes. Some ship types, e.g. destroyers, are overpowered and their smoke screen that keeps them invisible is exploited. They will hide in smoke and rain fire on your ship while you can do nothing in defense but run. The thing is, who are you running from and where is a safe place when you can’t see your enemy? He is following you, staying hidden, firing on you, shooting torpedoes until you are dead. There is no safe place as the enemy in the destroyer always has the upper hand. You cannot kill what you cannot see and this is by design, it’s not a bug. The better ships are in-game purchases that aren’t priced too high but if you want to be competitive you will have to spend. The game has huge potential but the state of combat is really an issue that I am not sure the team knows how to fix. After this long on the market with unbalanced combat still an issue it makes one wonder.

One gripe: If you dont play on console or computer, you cannot be in a Fleet which takes away quite a few perks in the game. Im not sure why it doesn’t work but it should. My friend only plays mobile and he cannot be in my fleet. Other than that, this game is solid. Updates every month. I normally dont play free to play games but this one is well balanced whether you pay or not.

Console WoWS for Mobile
I love WoWS and legends has always had a place close to my heart as I hadn’t always had a gaming pc to play PC WoWS on. Being able to play this version on my iPad (and I hope to play it on a newer iPhone eventually) with far superior graphics to Blitz and all the progress I had made on the console edition is invaluable to me. My only suggestions would be maybe provide more graphical adjustment options for those with higher capacity devices like newer phones or tablets from apple, the likes of which should be able to run the game at a previous generation console if not current generation console graphics settings or higher. This and support for apple keyboards on iPads, since I use the 5th generation Apple Magic Keyboard, (something I was excited for and anticipated to be something I could use to play using) would make it perfect.
Could do better on gameplay
The game is enjoyable to play…to a point. The standard format needs work to make more engaging. Compared to the player vs computer format, there are noticeable differences. First, torpedoes don’t show up until there is no time to do anything about them. Minor issue but it happens frequently. Second, opposing ships will shoot multiple rounds before visual is able to be made. This happens without smoke screens and when they should be in visual ranges according to the game specs. Ships literally appear and disappear from the screen for no apparent reason and become invisible to attack, even in midshot. I’m not sure how players are able to do this but it makes for a very unfair playing field. I only bring this up here since there doesn’t seem to be a way to contact devs about these issues.
Delaware issue
Delaware aircraft zoom dosn’t work and is the same for every airstrike ship in the game since the new update.
WARNING!!
I gave this game five stars because it is an OK game if you play the War Tales or VS AI mode on PlayStation or on mobile you will be fine, BUT if you play Arcade, or Standard mode on PlayStation you will be mismatched so bad it’s not funny. I have level 5 ships and get stuck with other players with level 10 and 11 Premium Ships. I can shoot them 20 times and it does nothing to them. They shoot me once and I’m dead!! And you can’t hide from them. I last about 5 to 10 seconds in a match and that’s it, I’m dead. They really need to fix this game because you have to play those modes to get some of the things you need for the game, to get new ships and things. So PLEASE fix this so I can have fun and not get stressed out over a freaking game!!!!
Could be good
Fun game until I stumbled into the numerous bugs. Torpedos going through solid rock, consumables being greyed out despite having the right conditions to use them. Enemy attacks doing wildly inconsistent damage. Getting killed from full health in one volley in a premium cruiser. Either these are bugs and need to be fixed or they aren’t and it’s a garbage game design. Could be a good game. Instead it’s mediocre.
I love big boats and I can not lie
It’s a good game for naval combat. Even though there is a grind it is a pleasant one and enjoyable on the way.
Good game when it works
It’s a good game, complete port of the console version, and the controls work fairly well even on touch screen. However it crashes an awful lot, 2 in every 3 games it will crash (during which time to reload you normally end up dead) which is very frustrating.
Intensive crashing and lagging
Wargaming, I know this is a free game, but please - no questions asked - fix the bugs and lags and crashes and etc etc. But other than this, it’s fine
Great game
I have been playing on and off since early 2021 and I have many older ships and camos(mostly camos). The one caveat I have is about aircraft carriers. The grind now is just excruciating. I feel like that top tier aircraft just don’t have the range or the HP to match the rising AA and fighter power. They also have quite the shorter range than I expected. When the rework came out, I had the German line grinded and the Midway. Shortly after getting the midway, the released the rework and I haven’t seriously touched aircraft carriers since. Even the midway, which I loved dearly, so much so that I put and an older exclusive camo(blue archive) on it permanently. But even though it has the “tough aircraft” trait, I get wiped from the sky as soon as I detect a battleship, as at that tier the air detectability range and AA range is pretty much the same. Then, all of the group puts up a fighter(god forbid one of them is a hybrid) and I don’t have time to drop the bombs that do basically no damage on to the target. Also there are a specific few ships that I feel should be different. I feel like the Vermont line should be buffed as a whole with more HP and better armor, as they are too damn slow to justify not having bunker like armor. I also think that the California, even though it is exclusive from a crate from a few years ago, is still very prominently decimating T5 god forbid T4. Great game tho
Sorry, but not sorry
I’ve been playing this game for four years on my Xbox console. However, this app, for iOS platform is not suitable for iPhone or iPad devices. The play is Squirrley, dropouts are frequent, and actually being kicked off of the server is frequent. This is not the iOS platform fault it is totally War Games’ programming that needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, they won’t fix it or are unable to. I would advise you don’t subject yourself to the frustration, the anger, and the disappointment that I have experienced with this app. Fair warning. Beware.
Map
I love the game and all, but the maps being just all mountains ruins the gameplay of blasting the enemy team. Sure, it gives strategy but warships should be shooting each other and manoeuvring, not hiding behind mountains waiting for the enemy team to come. Also, I suggest that based on damage the ship will start to lower in the water to indicate flooding.
Fun game but the controls literally DONT WORK
At least 3 or 4 times a game i find myself trying to press the turn button and holding it only to notice that nothing is happening. If you don’t put your finger DIRECTLY in the centre of the turn, repair or smoke buttons they just don’t do anything. I have been killed in this game due to these issues more times than i can count. Otherwise its mediocre but insanely grindy.
Almost Great
Really fun game so far! But the aircraft carriers really spoil the game, they just aren’t fun to play against. The other ship classes seem really well balanced against each other, and then you have carriers that can attack any ship while they sit in the corner of the map. There’s no way to avoid or counter their attacks as a battleship, you just have to hope they don’t target you. Such a shame as the rest of the game seems very well put together.
Heat
After a game in the car my phone feels like average heat in desert storm or stuffing a cooked pig full of vegetables because you forgot to earlier, I mean if you are going to be playing this for a long time you need an industrial fan to keep your frame rate and yes I have the lowest settings, 10/10 would burn my fingertips again!
Unbelievable scam
I spent hundreds of dollars the past few months for upgrades, ships, special items, etc and with this last update it’s 90% gone. I have to rebuy gold and upgrade points to upgrade the same items again. Why? So you can update and essential my money? I am livid that I was note reimbursed for all the god dam money I just flushed in the toilet. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING EVER
Needs fixing
I would put it at 5 stars but after about 3 matches the game starts lagging and glitching bad and usually ends up selling me the match because by the time it clears up I’m already dead, I’ve also heard of people having issues with server lag I have never had this happen to me until August

It’s a Shame
That you spend money buying premium in the hope that the grind would be a little easier, but the reality is that even when you purchase premium the higher tier ships drain your capital with a cost to use them far exceeding any reward for winning a match with them. It’s shameful that to enjoy the ships you spend real money on and valuable time to grind, unlock and upgrade only to see your credits disappear more and more after every successful match. This is not an issue with the lower tier ships as you earn more credits using the lower tier ships than you do for the higher tier ships. I use to play this game on Xbox and never noticed this issue. Maybe it a mobile thing or a greedy cash grab. Nevertheless although I don’t mind spending money to try to enjoy the game I do mind getting ripped off for my time. There needs to be a better balance for the economy rewarding us for our time and money. At the moment I will not spend anymore money until I know that this real issue is resolved.

Hello. I come from world of warships blitz and tanks blitz, I played this game for a while and while it’s fun, I keep on getting kicked out when playing War Tales. Whenever there’s a lot of A.I. that spawn in, game lags and I get kicked out. When I get back in I basically miss majority of the battle. And that means less credits and XP. And there are times where I return into battle to get killed by the A.I. ships. Can’t deal with this. It happens basically in almost every tier including the Legendary tier ships. And it’ll happen in standard battles too. And to let you know, I have full bars of Wi-Fi, a good device, and no other problems. This is just the game itself. I hope this gets fixed, I can’t just play like this all the time.
I want a spectating option
Everything about this game is awesome exept… see if I go into a game and get destroyed instantly then into another game get destroyed instantly and then go out I want to go and spectate the first ship again but it just says in battle and I’m unable to watch the battle or let’s say I’m destroyed instantly a game and I accidentally go out then you can’t go back in again
Mobile update bug
Ever since the last update I haven't been able to log in on mobile. It keeps saying my version is outdated and continuously keeps giving me an error message when i reopen the app. Ive tried reinstalling and even restarting my phone multiple times but no luck. Please fix this.
