Amazing
Absolutely brilliant the one app that I really needed having just swapped all TV’s in the house to Apple 4k.
Good but annoying
Using this on the Apple TV after the recent update is frustrating. For some bizarre reason it has defaulted from SkyGo to EE. The option to set your preferred app in Settings has also been removed. This means that you have to go into each channel individually, and choose SkyGo. Absolutely ridiculous.
Great but missing one thing
Simply put nothing this useful for AppleTV, in fact this app is why I kept the thing having come from an Amazon stick. However one feature would really help, to be able to hide channels by provider, I don’t have sky but manually hiding each one would be a pain.
Nothing special
Just use the free apps from TV channels. They do the job for free and you don’t have to flick back and forth between apps

Updates 01-12-25 An all new version comes out and it STILL doesn’t left align!!! Another star off! I take it the dev neither reads nor cares about the review feedback? Try getting the basics of a guide fixed before adding bells and whistles….. Updated 19-11-25 Another update comes along and the left align issue still not resolved, leaving you with empty boxes all over the place as the words have scrolled off the screen. Please have a look at any other tv guide on any other tv app and note that the words do not just disappear off the left edge of the screen and show nothing. They keep left aligning until the rest of the guide catches up. i.e. BBC breakfast starts at 6:00 and ends at 09:30, so the word Breakfast stays on screen until 09:30 until the next program starts. NOT show the word Breakfast and then disappear off screen, leaving an empty box until 09:30. Please sort this out. Another star off. Original review. Now we’ve dumped $ky and are using various app instead, this is a great way of keeping track of what’s on now and where to find it. My only real gripe is that in the grid, the programme names align left. This means as you move along the timeline programme names disappear and you are left with an empty box for that channel. Align left is fine, but please have it so that when the programme start time disappears off screen the programme name just re-aligns with the left edge of the grid and stays visible.
Nearly perfect
Great fast intuitive app to watch live TV launched from a slick TV guide. The only thing missing for my usage is to launch your chosen programme from a previous day or time, from the TV guide or watchlist, directly into the linked streaming app. There is a workaround for this by opening the programme from the TV guide into the Apple TV app and watchlisting it there but having it all in TV Launcher would be a game changer.
DESTORYED the app with new layout
Go back to tv with channel icons new layout sucks. Tv channels with what’s on should be default page not this horrible layout. The fact developer wants me to spell it out to them shows how clueless they are and how much they screwed this app up.
Channel guide removed!
Been using for awhile on Apple TV but an update has resulted in the very thing it was made for…..it’s removed the Tv guide? Useless now Edit issue now resolved although I would far prefer it to load to the TV guide on start rather than have to go and look for it

Several bugs and flaws.
The developer is in an unenviable position because many TV apps are not allowing this app to access channels they carry. The settings within this app allow you to hide those channels - which just means you have to use the content provider's app directly instead of this one. My main complaint though is that this app often launches the wrong channel on the first attempt but succeeds on the second. It just seems easier to use the individual apps, live TV is basically dead at this stage anyway, apart from news and there are apps for that. You also have to carefully "go back" step by step out of launched channels or else you end up back at the AppleTV Home Screen instead of this app. In spite of the many positive reviews here, I'm unimpressed.

Great app makes it easier to watch tv on ATV. Wonder in the future if they could add the option to record tv?
Waste of money
Just downloaded this because the description implied I’d be able to access my existing apps with live tv through here. You have to set each channel in the tv listings to an app, which would be fine if it included more than a handful. CBS, for example, I would stream through Paramount+ but it’s not there. From the description, I thought I’d be able to access Pluto live listings. Nope. I want a refund!

Ok but doesn’t fully work
Started off ok, but since the update there is no access to the programme guide which is the main reason I purchased it, instead its a screen full of tiles (list has gone) and not all in one place like what it used to be (like what you get on the sky tv guide). Feels like a waste of money as only had a few weeks.

No way to set certain channels like sky sci-fi to open in sky go, keeps trying to open nowtv…

What a great simple app. Bought it as our Freeview aerial packed in. Makes watching tv via the guide a neat experience. love it.
Why
I was about to download the app and did it. I was about to watch BBC One and then it asked to download BBC But it’s not allowed on my region. WASTE OF MONEY!
What happened to the top shelf?
The top shelf on Apple TV no longer shows the channels anymore. Just the TV Launcher logo. Would have been five stars otherwise.

I’d heard good things from many people and it’s a good idea but my experience hasn’t been good, the tv guide always stops scrolling up and jumps to the menus above consistently it’s really annoying and I would of expected it to work especially as I paid quite a lot of money for an app that’s primary function doesn’t seem to work! Disappointing.
A good app with obvious flaws
While looking at options to cut the cord I came across this app. Basically a TV guide that uses UK catchup apps to stream TV shows. And whilst it works well I can’t help but think that the developers have missed a trick. If you want a reminder of a programme in the future you can add that programme to up next. A reminder that the show is going to start in the near future. However, there is no series pass for a programme that is shown regularly at the same time on different days. You have to search for the programme in question and set a reminder for each individual showing, on each individual day, which is very annoying. So if you forget to set a reminder in the future for a favourite programme you miss it. If the app really wants to act like a replacement for a DVR this option is an absolute must!!!!
Game Changer
As somebody who doesn’t have an Ariel or satalight by having the ability to play all my channels from an Apple TV is very continent. The price is justified from the lack of ads alone.
Disappointed
Purchased but does not work with Virgin Go, so I’m not sure why the settings allow configuration for the service if it just directs you to open the Virgin app manually.
Decent App
It’s a decent app but it’s got its limitations. There are a lot of channels that you get on Freeview channels that for whatever reason, are not available using this app
Not great for Irish users
I’m sure this is fantastic in the UK, but this is pretty poor for Irish users. It only really seems to work with RTÉ Player and NOW TV. It doesn’t even work with the virgin media app. It won’t even open the app on your behalf. It just tells you to leave the app go find virgin media yourself and put on what you’re watching. It’s kind of okay to access the Program guide for everything that you have, but it’s not gonna show you what you need. And it’s not just a virgin app either it’s plenty of other apps that the TV launcher will just fall when you try to watch something. Unfortunately, some of this seems to be by design as per the error message but is not included in any of the information before you actually buy the app. So if you’re okay with this very limited functionality go right ahead but if you are expecting proper integration with all of the Irish apps, then you need to look elsewhere.

Amazing App
What a great app. It’s solved all my signal strength issues. I wish I’d found it sooner. No more app hopping looking for something to watch to watch on LIVE tv across all streaming channels. I can’t wait to see what future developments are to come. Well done to the app developer
Avoid
If you want to watch ITVX app, I advise you to stay away from TVLauncher. In my experience it breaks the app and stops you being able to watch live news, et cetera.
Great app - almost perfect
This is a great app for Apple TV. Brings all the channels together in one simple listing. The only thing that would improve it further would be that clicking on a show you’ve added to the WATCH LIST would take you direct to that show rather than just the app it appears on.

Paid £5.99 for something that is ok for a guide information but it’s easy just to load apps up that you want to use

I guess I misunderstood how the app works? I had thought that I could watch the TV shows directly through the app. I found out that I need to link a bunch of third-party TV accounts to the app, in order to watch the TV shows. Since I don't have any third-party TV accounts that I can link to the app, unfortunately the app does not work for me. I will see if I can get a refund from Apple for my purchase price?

Requires VPN outside if UK
There is no mention anywhere that this app, on the international App Store, is only able to be used within the UK or with the aid of a VPN. This app should be region specific and only accessible if you have a UK App Store account. People who are not within the UK, don’t use a VPN will also fall within the trap of buying this app. The develope needs to have a clear disclaimer as their app is easily accessible to buy outside of the UK App Store.
Finally, a Proper Way to Watch Live TV
TV Launcher has completley changed how I watch live TV on Apple TV. It gives me a clean, modern EPG and lets me jump straight into any channel with one or two taps. No fuss, no app‑hopping, no getting stuck in a broadcaster’s app trap. I’m actually choosing what I want to watch again instead of just drifting into whatever happens to be on next. It’s simple, fast, and exactly what the platform has been missing. Thank you for building this, it’s made live TV enjoyable again.
