What people like
- Clean and easy to use design
- Great for checking stats and moves
- Includes many alternative forms and megas
- No annoying pop-ups in the free version
- One-time payment instead of subscriptions
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Some ads are scams or malicious
- Dark mode now costs extra money
- Missing data for newest Pokémon games
- App crashes or freezes your phone
Great, Non-Predatory App
I deeply admire developers who still let you buy their software outright vs defer to a subscription model. Even without Pro the ads are minimally invasive.
Dont buy for the team builder
Having to pay to build multiple teams is a dick move. Just use a browser for it
Future improvements if the app continues to be updated.
Could you please update the new mega information for Legends ZA and the megas for the Mega Dimension DLC. Could you please add the cries for these Pokémon along with the Pokémon Champions information, and the ability to add an alpha check mark for every Pokémon in Pokémon Legends ZA along with Legends Arceus. Otherwise I think this app is perfect compared to every other options on the AppStore keep up the amazing work!
Not complete
Not all TMs that can be learned are shown in the moves list for each Pokemon. Gothitelle is an example. It can learn Psychic Noise (TM228) but it’s not listed in the app. If the moves lists were complete this would be the best app.
Good app, but missing one thing
This app is great for looking at pokemon and their info. It’s pretty accurate too and not outdated, it even has their mega evolutions and alternative forms. You can look at items from the games and build your own team and look at typing matchups. But for Eevee specifically, it’s not showing its female variant, even though it does have one, and it used to show the female version, but it’s just gone now.
Ts is so beautiful
The ONLY ONLY complaint I have is PLEASE unlock dark mode
User friendly updates
If you are going to place adds as frequently as you do, that are not skippable, you should expect people to find a better Pokédex app. If you want to force adds down our throat you could atleast integrate the za mega shinies which everyone likes. Plz fix or I’m done with yall.
Please add Pokopia!
Hi I love this app and have used it for many of my Pokemon playthroughs and I’d love if support for Pokopia was added along with the habitat information for each of them!!
Too many adds
I understand the app will run adds to made money but the shear number of them makes the app unusable. Pop up’s that last 45 seconds every two minutes is not worth it. Fantastic app if you’re willing to pay for pro but I’ll just stick to Bulbapedia.
When r u showing the prices
I love this app a lot but when ever I go see wut the price is it never shows up!?! So please bring back the prices
Mejor Enciclopedia Pokémon
Llevo usando esta app años, tanto acá como en Android siempre me ha funcionado perfectamente al punto de que tengo comprada la versión de pago en ambas plataformas para apoyar al creador.
No Champions Data
I’ve used this app previous games and it’s been amazing. Totally worth the price. If you’re not praying for premium is perfect. That being said in the recent months in has fallen out of support for champions and has yet to update after champions release.
Could be Improved
I have another complaint. I’m complaining because when I lost pro, there was a thick line of white blocking the bottom of the screen, blocking you from seeing the Pokémon cry and Pokédex voice when you enter a Pokédex entry with a long description. This is frustrating because you also can’t see the names for the Pokémon in the comparator if you scroll down too much. Can you please fix this?
Amazing app, terrible 30 second averts all the time
5-10 second add okay, but not the 30second ones that games offer you for in game rewards. Please fix
Okey
Me gustó pero no sé cómo usarlo y soy fan de pokemon entonces me entretengo mucho viendo todos los pokemones
Gmax
Make Gmax Enternitis
Used to be great
The ads are making it hard to use this app. The paywall for certain features was fine, but with the addition the ad bar and back-to-back video ads.. na. Definitely not a 5-star app anymore
One problem I can find
Lovely ui looks clean but I can’t share my battle team.
Why make dark mode premium?
Its a very good app i love it dont get me wrong but i logged in today waiting for my master dex to be on dark mode and now its locked behind a paywall? I mean seriously they’re just money hungry for making dark mode locked behind money
Really Good
This app is really useful for Pokémon. I have a few small problems though. First, it doesn’t have any of the dlc mega stones in the item box. Also, with the megas introduced by Z-A, the images are cut off a bit, it can‘t show the shiny versions, any it doesn’t have the 2d images. Also, this only happened once, but suddenly the screen crashed. But I‘ve had this game for about a year now and this was the only time. My only other complaint is in team builder, you can’t sort the Pokémon. Ditto with items. But this app is still really good and none of these problems take away from the five stars. There is a team builder section, but you can only have up to two unless you pay 2 bucks for infinite. It’s worth it. It has all 1025 Pokémon including, regional forms, megas, and Gmax. It has most of the trainers but it doesn’t have any from za. And is missing a few others from other games. It has descriptions on everything and some are SO LONG. This game is really fun. NOW STOP READING MY REVIEW AND GET THIS GAME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Malicious Ad
Dex info seems good, and the app was well designed. But on the free tier I got an ad that said my phone was hacked. Of course this is not true and the ad was actually the scam. Didn’t click anything, closed and deleted the app.
Just one problem
I was looking at Pokémon with own tempo and Rockruff didn’t appear. When I looked at evolution methods for rockruff it said to get Dusk form you just evolve it at dusk, which is partially true except that you also need a rockruff with own tempo to evolve at dusk. I’m just saying, if they got that bit of info wrong, what else did they get wrong
Pokemon Entry Picture
Hello Dev. I hope on the upcoming update there will be photos of every pokemon. Thank you.
Fantastic
I use this constantly for all of my different Pokémon games. It’s fantastic.
Runs scam ads
I get it he wants you to pay for premium, but the ads he allows on free are malicious and disgusting. Completely lost trust in this product
I want to send….
I love it but I can’t send my teams but I can’t select a theme to send
Language
Could you please quickly make the language available in German as well ?
Simple and efficient
This app is great, no annoying ads or no micro purchases. I’ve never had any issues with it
I do not understand!
What can we do in this app?!?! I DON’T UNDERSTAND THIS APP ONE STAR!!!
You should…
Remove ads and allow people access to everything without having to spend money
Only English :( but nice Design
Only English :( but nice Design please add German language and other
Phone overheating and app crashing!!
Hello, I‘ve used MasterDex for as long as I can remember. This app was AMAZING when I got it, I was able to buy infinite teams in the teambuilder for pretty much a dollar, which was epic. However, recently the app is beginning to make my phone very hot when I use it. Along with that, every time I make a save to a team in the teambuilder, the app hesitates before it suddenly crashes, freezing my phone entirely for nearly 30 seconds before returning to normal. This has never happened before and I really want to know why it‘s happening now, it worked perfectly fine barely a month ago and now it‘s just like this. Please give me something at least, like advice or how to fix this.
Time wasting simulator
I used to love it but now it stopped loading it just buffers I literally waited 1 HOUR for it to load and it never did . 1 star .fix your damn app .
Great but would love if...
This app is great! I would love if the "My Pokedex" feature had options to toggle tracking alternate forms/gender differences for a Living FormDex!
Tatsugiri and Oricorio
Tatsugiri forms and Oricorio Baile form are missing
Perfect Companion App
Robust features and details. Clean and mostly efficient. Just wish it was updated and more useful for Pokémon Champions.
Locking dark mode behind paywall?
Are you serious? As of 13/2/24 update, dark mode is now a “pro” feature. The fact you need to paywall a system settings shows just how desperate you are.
Great app, just wish it had more.
Some features the app is missing: Updated movesets (Like how Peliper can learn muddy water but it isn’t on the movesets) Regulation legal Pokémon in team builder, ability to check move’s accuracy and damage in team builder, ability to filter for Pokémon that learn 2 moves instead of just one, and a damage calculator is a big ask, but it would be pretty cool! Otherwise, this app is good for checking where Pokémon spawn and seeing stats, what games Pokémon are found in and ability to filter for that, and seeing what moves and abilities do!
Please add the ability to delete Pokédex.
I’ve accidentally added a second let’s go dex after attempting to remove it because it’s ordered incorrectly, Please add the ability to reorder your Pokédex’s in “my Pokédex” section and add the ability to delete Pokédex’s. I have the paid version of this app and am otherwise very happy with it.
GREAT!!!
So sparkyluvsanimals, you can go in the settings and see the Pokemon! I LOVE THIS APP! But why is TCGmasterdex 18 plus for no reason?
Very nice
Only four stars simply because there seems to be a glitch when displaying all caught pokemon. I currently have caught 63, but the personal list only shows 15 when settings are applied to only display those caught Pokemon. Not sure why. Otherwise its really nice to have as i collect cards.
