Surprised
I was initially skeptical about the app, but once I saw the feature where you can choose which items appear on the map, I was pretty happy with it. Very simple and helpful app.
Elden Ring Map Review
It works good, but I don’t like how I have to pay to track more than like 100 things. There are thousands of things to track, meaning the app is useless if you don’t pay.

Really a very useful map, but as another review states, loses a full stat to how annoying it is that the map moves after clicking something.
Alright
Very detailed but difficult to use. Whenever you click on something for more information rather than centering on whatever was clicked on it zooms in somewhere else. A lot of clutter, not much direction.

A great resource to have. Just three small gripes: You can’t reset progress on tracked locations/items. On the mobile app, every time you click on something to bring up the description, the map moves to the southeast for some reason. Some clusters of items are too close together to click on all of them easily.
Problems and errors
This app is great, don’t get me wrong, it helped me to find the things I wanted to find, but when you type certain things you get an error message “no results found” even though the item is true and it’s named in the game, e.g: when I type knights armor in the app I get the error message which is “no results found” as I’ve said, and in spite of that it’s actually called the knights armor I get the error. So please update it

Glitchy!!!
Huge waste of money. Every time I select a point, the map jumps southeast and I have to find my spot all over again. It constantly selects categories to hide or show all on its own. Searching for a point also just brings you a ways southeast of that point. Just awful
Almost Perfect
Just purchased the license and just found a couple of things keeping the app from 5 stars. One would be nice to zoom in more because a lot of icons are on top of each other making the one under harder to select without turning off certain items. I also found it super annoying that every time I select an icon the map moves further away from the item I selected it (website is better at this). The website is a bit better but still needs more zoom as well.

When you click on a symbol it jumps to the right and down a bit. Download the other ones tbh. It’s such a small thing but if you do multiple playthroughs it gets annoying.
Suggestions:
Please make easier to distinguish what is currently being shown and not. Currently, it just strikes through the words with a line if it is set to not show on the map. I don’t think that’s enough. Please make yellow or red etc to make easier to distinguish between the two. Please make each subcategory in list have its own hide all and show all buttons. Maybe just an X and checkmark beside each. Instead of fading the markers that are completed on map, please have an option to show completed markers on the map or hide them. Maybe keep the current faded markers as a 3rd option. The “+ Track Category” button is too small. Please expand the touch area of that button. I have to currently press it 5-10 times before it triggers it. Will edit to 5 stars afterwards. Thanks!

About to burn the red tree and gave myself a dungeon audit with the app. Missed quite a few and easily found all of them.

Everything is here, but no tracking
Love this app, everything i need to find to 100% the game is here and I appreciate the little notes on almost everything. But you cannot track more than about 15 things which is really annoying. I suppose you can use your in game inventory to check what you have but that’s tedious and I’d rather have a tracker do it for me.

Great tracking app but I can’t log into the app to track stuff even though I paid for the pro it just takes me to the website instead of actually using the app
App is good but it won’t stay on app
I keep trying to login on the app but when I register it takes me to their safari website and when I try and login on the app it says it couldn’t be logged in, this makes it difficult to use the app because you have to go to register every time you close the app.
Paywall gone too far.
Sometime this week, IGN started limiting checkboxes to 50 items without pro. No sane person is paying for a game’s map, so this is just ridiculous. This map is officially unusable. It isn’t even complete as I’ve found many items just not marked on the map, so requiring payment for an incomplete product is so scummy. I have only about 300-400 items left on my map out of the 5K, but now I can’t check it off to completion because IGN decided to get greedy. What a terrible business move. I wish I could give zero stars.

I noticed when selecting something on the map it teleports away from it a bit and idk how to solve it

Really helpful if it works
So I just got the app and it was really helpful for the first hour but now if I try to mark a item as found it just says it could not find the location. Over a good app with great potential but please for the love of god developer Please fix this bug PLEASE!
Super good guide map
I used this app so many times to see what I will be going through like bosses and stuff so that I can be prepared to start my journey. Recommend this app if u just started Elden ring
App doesn't work well, and their map.io is deceptively free
App doesn't work that well and automatically pans the map down to oblivion when you click on a map icon. Using their browser version (which actually works) requires pro account to basically do anything.
Overall Good. Wish you could zoom in further.
Great app for tracking playthroughs. One thing I wish was that you could zoom in further. When you have “show all” and are looking at everything in a dungeon, for example, it’s hard to click on each jndividual item in the area as they are clumped together.
Map moves
When clicking marker, map moves to the bottom right, then reveals text.
A very good map, with some minor issues.
I bought the pro version because I like exploring everywhere in open world games and this helped with that. It’s great but the only problem I have is when you press an item to say you found it, the camera will recenter in a weird area, making it hard to select multiple items as found.

No Support for Glaring Issue
Selecting a map icon will shift the map to place the icon up on the top left corner of the screen. At some point, something broke—the icon used to shift to the center of the screen. It doesn’t make the app unusable, but you’re better off finding alternatives.
Only One Thing
Everything about this map my multiple runs of Elden ring that much better! My only thing is I wish you could reset your progress so that the things you have selected as “found” could be reset and ready for a new play through
best app but
Hello! I didn’t find a link to feedback, that’s why I’m writing here! On iPhone 14 Pro Max the map does not load or loads poorly. If I click on an item, the map slides out, making it difficult to navigate. Please fix it, thanks! This is the most convenient application, I'm really looking forward to the fix!
basic usability bug
tapping on map items scrolls the entire map up and to the left until what I tapped on is off-screen. You have to manually drag the part of the map you were just looking at and hope you didn’t loose track of which one. This is super annoying to use. I’m going back to using the website.

Issue but no support
Where is tech-support? I have a mapgenie.io account. I can login across multiple browsers and multiple devices, including at least two other competing apps. Is just says can’t login when trying to within your app. Obviously the same credits are being used here. I want to use this one! I’ve tried Clicking the developer page from the App Store. It just takes you to Map Genie. There’s no page but I found elsewhere you can email. They don’t support third-party apps! Tried reporting it has may be a bug in the store as well, it won’t let you select this app. Right now this app provides no additional functionality than just logging into the website directly and they’ll at least give you some support via email.

Honestly the best Elden Ring app. I just wish you could zoom in more. There’s also a bug in which clicking on an icon on the map will cause the map to shift to the right quite a bit. Other than that, it’s a great companion!

The issue I’m dealing with is if I click on anything it’ll just drag the screen down for no reason? Like when I want to see info on something as the info is popping up it drags the map to a random location every time. Making it terrible to use.

Error “Couldn’t log in”
Worth it with a few hiccups!
This felt a little more complete than some of the other map and tracking apps I tried. After hitting the peak limit for tracking on the free version I paid for the pro upgrade to remove ads and track unlimited points. The only issues I had was a bug when selecting something moves the map so it’s not in view anymore (seems to upper left justify), second is that search could be better and provide a better cycle to find (for example finding silver just bounces and cancels search). Some features that would make it easier to use is hid marked found items so you don’t click on them in tight areas where many icons are visible and another option to help select what you want in a large groups of icons. One idea may to list a few in the are you selected to fine tune the section. If these are fixed, I would bump to a 5 star!!!

Unable to login
I’m unable to login using the app but the web portal is working. Also I’m unable to open a ticket with the developer to report the issue.
Great app ngl
Good part: First time using a map app and I googled around first, getting the best recommendation being this one. Initially the app is good for finding items in an area you know your way around, but if you sign up for an account you can track your progress which is really helpful. Also by clicking icons sometimes it will show in game images of the area which is insanely helpful. It has good descriptions and accurate locations, more information on quest lines and next NPC locations would be helpful but it’s pretty good as is. Sad part: unfortunately, I was able to track which items I’ve found in beginning, but now it says an error occurs and it cannot mark my progress. Very unfortunate as that’s why I got the app. 2. When clicking an icon, the screen shifts down to the right nearly taking it out of view, very frustrating. 3. Sometimes the map takes a few seconds to load, but it just shows white sometimes and that’s very inconvenient. 4. There needs to be more zoom-in capabilities as the icons are often bunched on top of each other, making it hard to tap the correct one. Otherwise it’s a great app and I gotta love it, unfortunately I’ll be waiting till tracking progress will fix itself for me to start using the app again.
