Description
Join the global community started by Annie Grace and the Sober Curious movement — a space to explore your relationship with alcohol without rules, blame, or shame.
We believe you can drink less, moderate, get sober, or stop drinking entirely — whatever that means to you. This journey is yours alone, and if you join us, you will never be judged for it.
We won't tell you that you have to stop drinking. We care more about how you want to feel than about a specific number of drinks.
Our approach focuses on self-compassion rather than shame-based frameworks. We explore why labels like "alcoholic" can feel limiting for many people, and why we focus on curiosity and progress rather than an all-or-nothing mindset. Instead of asking "am I an alcoholic," we invite you to ask a different question: "Would I be happier drinking a bit less alcohol?" Then, through The Alcohol Experiment, you can find out for yourself — as hundreds of thousands of others already have.
We believe your relationship with alcohol is shaped by biology and habit, not a personal failing — and that self-compassion, not shame, makes lasting change easier (and yes, even enjoyable).
Important Note: If you experience severe withdrawal symptoms — such as delirium tremens or hallucinations — when cutting back on alcohol, you may have a physical dependence. While This Naked Mind can help with the emotional and psychological sides of your relationship with alcohol by shifting your perspective, it is not a substitute for medical care. If you think you may be physically dependent, please consult your doctor for medical support during detox. Your health comes first.
