Accessibility
As an upcoming high school junior, I’m dreading the college search. I dread all the repetitive research even more. That’s why this app feels like a life saver. I haven’t been asked to pay any fees at all. I don’t think that’s happened to me ever. Not to mention it listens to all of the information I give. For example, I said I only wanted a college in a specific state and only got recommendations for that state where most apps try to give you recommendations for states on the other side of the country. This is the most useful app I’ve ever downloaded. I highly recommend.
Didn’t have the major I want to study :/
I usually wouldn’t rate this harsh, but when it’s your one job as an app. Also didn’t even give me any good recommendations. I’ll stick to Appily. The high reviews really got my hopes up..
Additional thing
I think for some of the jobs the certifications part should include the years that it takes to get them such as being a doctor
not giving me what im looking for
good concept, but i specifically put in the app that I only want to look for schools in new york and all it does is recommend me schools that are not from new york. not very helpful at all
Study options
The only issue I have is that when you are making your account and get to the part where you have to choose what you want to study in there are only 11 options. What if some people aren’t interested in those? Also there isn’t even an option to search up what you want to study in. I feel like for an app like this you need to have way much more options.

No helpful
I’m a junior in high school and I couldn’t input my ACTUAL gpa because it wouldn’t let me put a “.” I had to scroll through something called “discover” instead of it just giving me a list of good options. I never got the option to put IN the sport I played and it’s not a common sport so it’s unlikely to have schools that have it (women’s wrestling) so it was giving me football and cheerleading schools..bro 😐. Not what I thought it was. Was looking for a helpful way to pick a college but this don’t help at all. Save your time DONT download on phone or at all.
Great App, Needs Some Changes
Honest Review: Pretty great app overall! It asked me questions, not only about academics but also preference, jobs, internships, housing, travel, and so much more. There’s also a feature where you can take quizzes and also answer questions. With that data— Loper recommends colleges that suit you. But heres where the issue comes in. Eventually it stopped loading, so I closed the app expecting to continue my search, but instead it just kept repeating the same questions I’ve already answered. Another big issue is that whenever I search up some colleges— they just don’t pop up. Lastly, when I click “share profile” and “Generate PDF” it transfers you to where you first started when you downloaded the app. As you wait it gives you “fun facts”… and then it just stops. No PDF was ever generated. Please fix these 3 things!
Update issue
I filled out the question then it sent me to a page asking me to update the app, I had just installed the app so I was confused and when I went to check if it need to be updated it didn’t. Now I’m just stuck on the same screen and k can get off of it.
Honest Opinion
OK, I’m gonna be completely honest here. The app is pretty good itself. I just don’t really find it as useful as I thought it would be. I mean it helps to a certain extent, and I personally feel that the app should have more resources and I don’t know I guess the app is good. It’s just I was expecting more from it like it doesn’t really help me that much if that makes any sense.

AMAZING APP
Great for college search and help with applying! Although one thing that does bother me is when I go back on the explore page it doesn’t show me any new options just the ones I liked or answered
Potential
I saw this app on tik tok was was interested so I download it. I was pretty disappointed once I completed the questionnaire. This app is hard to navigate, doesn’t have many career choices, and is constantly glitching. I couldn’t find my high school or the major I wanted to enter. I tried to do the “tasks” but whenever I wrote something nothing popped up. Overall, this app has a lot of potential but also very many problems.

I LOVE this app it has been so helpful and so much fun! Although I am having a problem ware no matter where I am it won’t let me see my matches. Telling me to come back later do to a connection issue, though often times my connection is fine. I love using this app and have tried deleting and redownloading but nothing is working. -Thank you
Give me some Recs already!
I keep answering more and more and more preferences about size and majors and everything else, and the app has made TWO college recs. Waste of time.
This will help some people.
I think this app will help someone get to the next part of there life and that’s a good thing. One complaint though it won’t register I’m not American and I’m not looking for an American school.

I love this app and I’ve used many times before but I just tried redownloading it after a while of not using it and nothing with load. None of the recs or prompts are working, the only thing i can do is create an account. Not really sure why, but i would love for it to be fixed so I can use it again!
Not helpful
This app really doesn’t do what it is advertised to do. Very glitchy, doesn’t actually organize in a way that is useful (at least to me).
Connection issues
I’ve seen other people say this too but the app worked fine when I was first using it but recently it just keeps saying my connection is bad even if it’s perfectly fine so nothing will load. Now I can’t see my list of collages that I made on there :(

Glitch
The app isn’t sending the verification code to my number which I’m 100% certain is the correct number
Wrong Math Answers
When you go to answer questions in the Explore/Challenges, multiple of the math questions are wrong. Ex. App told me that “Dividing 7 by 5 is 1.4 , and subtracting 2 gives 3.4”
Endless questions
Have lots of slides to help narrow down schools, but it is on an endless loop. It should have some stopping points. It should have more explanation on school size other than biggest , bigger, smaller, smallest with no range on fyi. And the locations are very big. Only allowed 3 reveals per day.
Best App Ever
I've come to realize how cluttered the internet is when it comes to finding info about college but this app just makes finding all the information easier. I really appreciate this app because it is like my own college counselor and can be super helpful to kids who do not access to a college counselor. I love the fact that everything in this app is absolutely FREE. Tools are super helpful and helped me actually find my dream school.
Dis functional
The app asks what year I will graduate high school, but the on-screen keyboard to enter the year doesn’t work. You can’t enter any numbers. So I can’t move past that part of the app. It’s programmed wrong. The numbers are not clickable and you just can’t get around it. Annoying

I’m not sure if it’s safe or not, started asking many wierd questions about my location and never tried it out because of that. Rating 2 instead of 1 because I’m not sure if it’s actually good

Loper has been really helpful for keeping me organized. It’s easy to use, looks great, and makes planning things a lot less stressful. I like how everything is laid out and how smooth it feels. Definitely one of the better apps I’ve tried!
when can i actually review colleges?
so the update is cool but is also laggy and making over stuff laggy but more importantly i’ve been watching videos (not by choice) of colleges that i don’t even want to know about instead of swiping on them or being able to get to it…it shouldn’t take me THAT long to get to swiping and to actually see good college options
Not that great
The app isn't very accurate, I want to go Medical (which isn't an option) so i clicked on the closet thing and it came up with non medical colleges when me description of the career said medical.

Loper has been super helpful in making the college process feel way less overwhelming. It’s helped me stay organized while building my college list and figuring out what I need to apply. As a student, it’s nice to have one place that breaks things down clearly, especially when there aren’t a ton of resources out there for this stuff.

it’s missing SO much from things that naviance has, such as distance away. like you get to have fun swiping left and right, but at what cost??
The best college search app
I love Loper as a college counselor. It’s super user-friendly and my students enjoy using it. It really meets them where they are!
Horrible horrible HORRIBLE
If you want every school within 100 miles of you to spam you daily with emails, then by all means use this app. I get spammed non stop by random colleges and I even now receive junk mail! It’s such a scam and it’s just a way to generate revenue by secretly giving schools all your info. Don’t download!!!
