Love the game so much I got it and I feel like I could play it forever I love that you added bik bok but can you tell me how you can talk if you can if you can’t in the next update if you still work on the game you should add that in.
the scissors ruined the entire game
this *was* the greatest iphone game ever made. bar none. …and then they added the scissors. the scissors absolutely ruined this game. i cant even play it anymore. i choose not to believe that zach gage would add something this terrible to the game. stay away unless they fix it.
Suggestion
Put a horizontal bar at the bottom with a circle that I can move around on the bar to work as a joystick for the lure and you can just make it an option in settings or make it a choice when you get on for your first time
Fun game but I dislike the tilting
I really wish I could enjoy this game I just really really hate having to tilt my phone instead of guiding with my finger 💔

i played when i was little but it’s been a little while and i decided to play again but now it has gay/bisexual content not for kids like now it has the “h word “ and i played for YEARS.make this game more for kids (6&7+)

Best mobile game ever
Buggy, don’t play if you are a completionist
Loved the game at first but it is impossible to complete all the achievements due to prevalent bugs the developers have been aware of for almost half a year if not more. Fly fishing level 42 is impossible due to an rng bug (I genuinely wasted an hour trying to get passed it before googling it and seeing forums of other angry and frustrated players dating all the way back to like 6-8 months ago) not all specific species of fish will spawn even when all requirements are met like “Swimming Moth Man” making it near impossible to complete the fishopedia and plenty of other bugs that make the main game and fly fishing side game extremely difficult if not impossible. This game has just become extremely frustrating for me and I think I’m going to just give up and delete it soon.

I was finally gonna unlock the Eagleman lake until I never got it I thought I just got scammed or it’s just a bug or glitched. I tried tapping a few times. still won’t let me in. at least it’s still a fun game but now I can’t restart.
Fly Fishing Level 108 is literally impossible
Ridiculous Fishing is clearly a good enough game that I got to level 108 on the fly fishing section. This review is more frustration than anything else. Level 108 must not have been play tested somehow, you have to shoot fish with an automatic weapon, but it starts you with a pistol and never changes. It’s supposed to be roulette mode where the gun changes when the “clip” is empty. At first I struggled because I had the infinite clip, but went to another new game + and didn’t purchase the infinite clip… however, for some bizarre reason, even with a finite clip, I only ever get the pistol. It literally is impossible. I guess I’ll delete the gam and recheck to see if a bug fix has been pushed in a few months. Too bad! It’s a fun game, but frustrating when there is a level that literally cannot be beat.

Most satisfying casual game loop ever
This game rips. Most “arcade-style” games are all reconstructed old formulas, so it’s super exciting and refreshing to come across something so original and fun

Changed the device, same account and lost all game progress due to iCloud sync somehow not working at all

I love the game I really do but pls make it so when the master volume for audio goes down so does puffer fish explosions because when I’m listing to music or a podcast all I hear is 💥💥💥💥💥💥

After playing it for a few weeks and getting to a decent level the game has stopped loading
touch controls
2 years and still no touch control!!! they said in future updates there would be touch control and 2 years later and many updates later still no option to use ur fingers instead of gyro. i want to be able to play this game while in the car but the gyro messes it up same with my shakey hands

So slow and buggy
After unlocking the pro fishing the money and tools I earned before were all gone!!! Also the get fish on the way back and shooting fish are so slow it takes ages to do one round and if you accidentally get a fish on the way down you have to go through all these steps and it takes ages. Tilt control is not convenient and there’s no restart button

This game has an easy to learn hard to master game play loop that is just so satisfying. Can’t get enough of it!

Sorry, I only put this review at 2 stars hoping it would get y’all’s attention for the bug. (I’ll delete this after a response, it is a 5/5 game). There’s a bug with the new update where me (and others I asked on Reddit r/ridiculousfishingex). Since the update-Once the cycle you do the Cycle, despite having The Bird reel, my self & others still aren’t able to access Fly Fishing.
great game but fly fishing needs a nerf
i’ve been playing ever since 2023 and i’ve never really had a complaint, good art, good features, and also good music. However, i’m on fly fishing level #22. It’s pretty normal until you see big saw and scissors effects. And who doesn’t HATE the scissors, i’ve been trying to beat the level for 6 hours straight and still i get under half way through every, single, TIME and JUST WHY WOULD YOU MAKE IT LIKE THIS. please at least just remove the scissors or make it easier

Buggy but fun
Edit again: you removed the best way to get money by only allowing dad to be caught once per round. Sigh. Edit: reducing to 1 star until you let us unequip the knife because it’s literally making the game unplayable, just randomly ends runs when it thinks you cut the rope… Massively drains battery The knife cutting randomly goes off by itself cancelling your run which is extremely annoying.

one major issue
great game. fly fishing is frustrating to the point of being unplayable. take level 22 for example. shoot 89 fish, with the scissors modifier. these scissors are the most ridiculous, unnecessary difficulty modifier ive come across in any game ive ever played. you have no chance to react to them. the only way you could possibly beat this level is dumb luck, or memorizing perfectly the sequence and placement of every scissors in the level. even hooking 89 fish is difficult. adding the scissors makes an already frustrating level a terrible experience. it seems like it wasn't tested. if it was tested, the person who said it was ok should be fired.

I love this game and the concept of making fishing ridiculous! Except my mom doesn’t want me playing it anymore because it has guns in it. So Developers if you’re reading this. Can you turn the guns into something slightly more appropriate and ridiculous so I can play my favorite game again?

Black screen after a few days play
Was enjoying a daily grind on this game, but now after a couple of days it no longer launches and just sits on a black screen. Also makes the phone really hot when playing so needs some optimisation.
Almost Great!
This review is for discerning players (aka players who want reviews on mechanics, balance, etc). Mechanics: The game premise is fantastic with a solid core loop. (1) Avoid fish to get as deep as you can, (2) catch fish on your way back up, (3) shoot fish out of the air to get cash, (4) upgrade your equipment to help you get deeper. Plot: There is very little here. Focus is definitely on the loop of fishing. There is a bit of fluff that gave me high hopes initially, but ultimately didn't deliver -- such as "BikBok," a social media in-game app that clues you into some of the other fishers in the world. Devs, you could make a whole subplot here to reward paying attention! As it is, reading the few in-game posts and comments didn't enhance my experience. Length: I wanted much, much more here. Daily and challenge modes don't have much in terms of incentivized progression, so once the main story is done, it feels natural to simply put the game away. That's a bummer because the mechanics are very fun. More islands, deeper max depths, rare fish that don't depend on obscure conditions. This could easily double as an optional "collectible fish game" that rewards campaign progression. As it is, it feels like collecting is a time-waster rather than a core premise of the game. Final Thoughts: Very fun game with a short, almost transient feel. Works well as a jump-in-jump-out game, while feeling like it wants more than what's included.
Tilt
Why so much tilting? it’s not fair!!! My controller runs out of power ALL THE TIME because it uses the same cord as my iPad. I’m just playin mah game and my controller runs out of power so I plug it in with the cord from my iPad and then a few minutes later it’s charged so I keep it plugged in and I forget 🤪 then BAM! my iPad is out of power! just make it a touchy screeny thing not a tilty tilty thing! i have a big iPad and I’m lazy and It’s haaaaaaaaaard☹️
Was good, but now to buggy and frustrating
This game was perfect at the beginning, but with each new update, something breaks. Daily missions are often impossible due to bugs or conflicts with objectives. And what’s going on with the scissors trash? I understand it adds difficulty, but there are far too many, making the game frustrating, impossible, and no longer fun. Remember, daily play should be quick and enjoyable, not a series of endless, repetitive attempts. It feels like nobody at the developer studio actually plays the game…

Doesn’t open
The game won’t open at all. When you open the app, I just get a black screen (I’m on iPhone 13 Pro). Deleting and reinstalling does nothing to help. Shame.
great game, very fun, on small problem
i’ve been playing for a few days now and am really enjoying the gameplay and upgrades and the whole vibe of the game. BUT WHY IS THE CAMERA IN PRO FISHING LOCKING ONTO TRASH WHILE SHOOTING. the camera on the regular maps seems to follow the fish closest to re-entering the water however in pro fishing it just locks on to seemingly whatever it was. large group of fish in the air, it locks to the highest one and i end up losing big time, new catch? well you don’t even get the chance to cash out on it. again i really do enjoy this game and personally most of my gameplay is done on the island maps, but this camera detail is frustrating

A fun silly game, but it keeps loosing my progress. Once completely back to first run tutorial and multiple times back to earlier points in the game. I have now lost interest in playing.
