This app is arguably worse than base YouTube, the feature where you can listen with the screen off does not work, listening while not ON the app does not work, there is no way to change my settings. or remove community posts, there is no way in the settings to remove YouTube shorts, the comment section does not function properly. If it was not for the fact that YouTube forces DOZEN of ads this app is worse and blatantly nonfunction in every single way. Fix your app

Die App funktioniert, ist soweit echt gut und übersichtlich. Am Handy einwandfrei, jedoch ist auf dem TV abspielen nur in sehr schlechte Qualität möglich. Daher leider Nix für mich. Verlängern werd ich das Abo nicht.

Lot of glitches, poor quality of ui, gets stuck multiple times .(they added lot of advertisements but still app has lot of bugs, which make you feel to use youtube premium than this.

Please bring back the Enhanced Player as an optional feature. I understand it was disabled because it didn’t work properly with YouTube, but on other websites it was very useful when a video was detected. It would be great if the developers could revert this change and allow users to enable it optionally like before. 🙏

Insupportable au démar
L’application fonctionne correctement dans l’ensemble et a effectivement moins de pubs que YouTube, mais l’expérience de démarrage est catastrophique. Dès l’ouverture, on est bombardé d’un “hub” de publicités. Quand on clique sur le bouton pour fermer, au lieu de disparaître, l’application nous envoie directement sur l’App Store. Résultat : il faut cliquer trois fois sur le même bouton, se retrouver trois fois sur l’App Store, et refermer trois fenêtres, alors qu’on n’a aucun intérêt à télécharger les applis ou jeux proposés. Je ne sais pas si cette technique augmente leur taux de conversion, mais pour l’utilisateur, c’est tout simplement insupportable et très mal pensé.

Loved this app but I had to uninstall
The amount of gambling ads I got just trying to open this app is insane. And when I’m given the option to “remove ads, nothing happens. I’m just super disappointed that only gambling ads are advertised on this amazing app. Going back to regular YouTube because at least they don’t spam the same 3 gambling apps.

After update ads are invasive
This used to be a fantastic app to bypass the insanity of YouTube ads and banners, however after an update they have introduced ads to this app as well, which I thought was fair given it was just one when you first launched the app and that was a good compromise. But that’s no longer the case and the ad now comes back every time you exit the app and re-enter it even if just to check a notification for a couple of seconds. Some Ads are also very long and require multiple clicks to dismiss. This entirely defies the point of using this app to stay clear of annoying ads! Developers please consider reducing the frequency of ads and making them easier to dismiss.

User since very long time
Long before app was very very good have to give it to them but since every updates comes with every update the ads in the app has started increasing So as a tech lover or app tester I have to switch to better one’s ofcourse I’m writing this after having it uninstalled it few days ago There are many or great fishes in the sea my pals

I am using it for long time that I used to be very stable but the YouTube videos are not minimizing and while locking the mobile sometimes the video is stopping before it was not like that after the update the app gets a lot of bugs.

If intuitive design exists, consider this app the exact opposite. It’s slow, poorly designed, and absolutely infuriating to use. Videos at 320p, bad login experience, and on and on. Straight trash that should have been fixed long ago. Slop.

I would 100% pay for the ad free version if the captions worked while in full screen. Also if i pause the video and close my iPad, the video will just start back up in the background. super annoying, using the web youtube with adblock is better for now. Otherwise thanks!!

The best alternative to YT app and more
My original review from a long time ago that no longer is true: I don’t write reviews for apps hardly ever. But this app has been a godsend to someone who cannot stand long (and sometimes un-skippable)video ads. The referral program is a very nice touch even tho I haven’t used it yet. Had I more coin to spare i would gladly pay the $ for the no-ads package but I hope that the money made off of me from the non-instructive and quickly closable ads (that do NOT interrupt videos often; if at all) can eventually add up to over $10 for the no-ads package because honestly, this person (or team) deserves it. Constant updates and improvements that easily make the official YT app look like a cheap and greedy knock-off. Background playback is the biggest cherry-on-top. Fantastic. Thank you so much for this app. You’re making our video-surfing MUCH more pleasurable while not screwing over your users with any kind of malicious or annoying bait. I appreciate it greatly as I’m sure many others do. **edit 08/09/26** The above review is what I said about this app years ago and it was very much true. The app he’s sadly devolved to constant full-screen ads that you have to wait a long time to dismiss unless you pay for the subscription to the app. Making such a pivot and underhanded decision from an app that was nothing short of a godsend to just another shady and misleading app that wants your money to provide features it used to give out for free is just par for the course these days. Also a TON of the 4/5 star reviews are obviously and clearly either AI or throwaway accounts boosting this app’s review score. If it wasn’t for the deceit and clear pivot in terms of user trust; I’d rather this app maybe a 3 star but this developer deserves nothing short of 1 star now after what they’ve turned this app into. Shame on you, dev.
Excellent app for Youtube videos
i have been using for more than a year now.app works great only thing is it needs two bug fixes. 1.whenever i try to watch videos on full screen the captions doest appear on the screen.please fix the captions issues since it makes certain videos different to watch and understand 2. whenever we open the app initially and scroll for sometime and try to add the video in watch later playlist it doesn’t work and the page refreshes to start of the video page Only these issues with the app needs to be fixed please update in the upcoming update. other than that the app is highly recommended to everyone to watch videos uninterrupted without ads.Extraordinary app for everyone
YouTube now stopping when you exit the app
The app was good initially but now there’s so much bugs. It doesn’t play when you exit the app, or it’ll show like YouTube is still playing but there’ll be no sound. You’ll have to crash out and exit the app completely to get it working

The worst ads ever experienced in an app
Temu ads are by far the worst offenders. They’re the most invasive ads I’ve ever come across, and it’s not even close. I have no issue watching ads on the free tier. I understand they support Video Lite, and I’m happy to watch them in exchange for using the app. The problem isn’t the ads themselves. It’s how they’re designed. After waiting for the ad to finish, tapping the X often doesn’t close it. Instead, it opens the advertiser in another window. In many cases, there’s no way to return to Video Lite without completely closing the app and reopening it. That is incredibly frustrating and feels intentionally deceptive. Every ad should have a clear, consistent way to close it. A universal X button in the same corner for every ad would solve this problem. Until that’s addressed, I can’t recommend this app in good conscience, and I’ll be keeping my rating at one star.
Better than youtube, but that’s not saying much
The lag is so annoying when you turn your phone off and try to listen to the video. half the time you’ll spend trying to get the video to play. Sometimes it’ll stop and ill open the app just for the app to completely crash and none of the buttons will work. I feel like the little reload button is just there for show. and sometimes ill open the app to get the video to work again and itll make me reopen yt just to show me another ad. the only thing stopping me from deleting this app is the fact that there’s no other app option BUT yt and at least this app won’t shove 15 different ads in my face before i even pick a video to watch. If youre only using this app on full screen and not to play while doing other things on ur phone it gets the job done👍

The app is now riddled with errors compared to before; translations are unavailable when the screen is in landscape mode. Secondly, it's slow to respond when the video is playing in the background or when the screen is off.
