What people like
- Simple, clean interface that works well
- Great for Wim Hof breathing specifically
- Developers actually listen to feedback
- Cheaper than many other apps
What they complain about
- Switched to a subscription model
- Hard to track your progress
- Bad default background music choice
- Added clutter like blogs and social media
Great App
They are continuing to add features and make it better and better.
Could be great
Unfortunately you only get one free guided mediation, I was not aware of this. Sadly the one I wasted it on was just a guy setting his microphone up to listen to traffic - something I can do on my own all day. Not sure how much more there is because that’s all the app lets me do. Box breathing was a nice addition. Just wish so many features weren’t pay walled.
Excellent
This app is essentially WHM in its complete essence, just without the cold shower, pushups. For those who just want the breathing exercise, this app it’s a great choice - you won’t be disappointed.
Music
Please return old music. New is bad😢
Appreciated
Interface is clean and nice. Wish there was an option for a minute notification as well as the last breath hold notification. The item that I wish the developer would improve is the sound track. The default soundtrack for me is not conducive to meditation. The app does have an option to upload an .mp3. But how the heck do I do that on my phone. I am sure I can figure it out but too much effort. Ty
App has gotten a lot better
Lot of work put into this. It’s very good.
App down?
The app isn’t loading past the “loading purchased” screen on iPhone.
Subscription change
Amazingly simple and effective app. Very disappointed the recent removal of the lifetime subscription option. I was trying it out for free for a few days, the day I was going to buy the lifetime option it was removed. Still a great app though.
What Happens When You Achieve 4 Minutes?
Game over. When you hit 4 minutes, the app essentially shuts down. Once you get to the 4 minute mark, you should unsubscribe and either time yourself or download the actual Wim Hof app…it’s more expensive but at least there is no time limit. If this app did not have a limit, its developers would have a subscriber for life. So disappointing.
Helps me a lot
Had the Wim Hof app and didn’t get on very well with the breathing. Tried this app and for some reason get better results. Didn’t give 5 stars because it doesn’t link with the Apple Watch or health. Still a very good app though. Use it nearly every day.
Wonderful product
This app has clean design and is easy to use. I love working with it.
Not worth it.
Zero customer service. Very simple app but they keep adding unnecessary stuff for the monthly fee instead of making the settings able to work for the consumer. Unable to change the settings for the breath hold music which is a poor selection anyway. Better off with the wim hof app.
Would be 5 star if larger surface area to “tap out”
Great app, BUT - please make surface area larger to enter out for the 15 second breath. It is too narrow and thin to tap and means you have to open your eyes and hold the phone up. When you are on the last few seconds of holding your breath - it compromises the experience and exerts energy.
Good app but not Free
On time fee would be fine, not worth paying monthly.
Phenomenal App!!!
Get it. Seriously. Do it. It WILL change your life. Besides Respira (Halcyon), this is THE best breath-work app.
Faux Engagement
Developer made a blog, responded but comment was never approved. Limitations of app can be forgiven, there is no need to fluff up “community” if you are going to just mine cheap subscriptions lol *shrug*
Love this app!
It’s great to use as guidance for wim hof breathing technique. It’s helpful to have a guidance as it seems to motivate me more to do it each morning. I do wish there was a different choice in music though when doing the breath hold - as this one is quite anxiety inducing and I think it could hold longer to more relaxing music..
Grateful for this app thank you!
I have used similar apps over the years and this is by far my favorite. Simple clean interface, excellent design and functionality.
Used to be such a good breathing app…
I have never written an app review before but I had to for what they’ve done to what used to be my favorite breathing app. This app went from a perfectly simple, clean, breathing app for the Wim Hoff method to trying to do it all…box breathing, meditation timer, social media, and a blog. The UI is neither conducive to this, and the whole thing just looks messy and cluttered now. I have had to go to another app to get a simple, straightforward Breathwork interface, and will not be downloading Huff again. It seems they are just chasing money and trying to justify the subscription pricing model they switched to.
Fantastic App. Needs a little tweaking on some UI
I love this app. It’s perfect for doing self-breathing sessions, but I’ve found an issue during each time I go to tap the screen during retention. I’ve lost completely progress over my sessions because the app will swipe to the main menu whenever I’m just trying to tap the “begin retention” option. If there were to be a lock to make sure you don’t swipe back by accident, and a prompt asking you if you’re sure just in case you do want to exit the session by clicking a “back” button, I would be forever grateful! Still gladly supporting you guys with the monthly subscription, and I’m incredibly thankful for making it only $1/month!!
Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.
Thanks for offering a lifetime license. I HATE subscribing to apps!! I love the power, beauty and most of all simplicity of this app ( if you buy the right to customize the Home Screen ). I use it multiple times a day. Great job!!!
Does not honour one time purchase users
I had paid for the app which at the time was a one time purchase for all the features, and it even promised would be lifetime access. Now with the change to a subscription model I only get full access for a 1/2 year?!? Very shady practices and I will be deleting this and moving to another similar app at the end of the year
Phenomenal breathing/ breath holding app
If you are familiar with the Wim Hof breathing practice this is a great app to aid in that practice. I love that the app counts your breaths and guides you through the whole sequence instead of just being a timer. I would rate this a five star if there were slightly better analytics. The ability to track progress over time is minimal. I would love to be able to see details from previous sessions and see trends over time on a graph. I would highly recommend this app. It does what it’s supposed to do especially well.
An Ideal App Experience
Consistently updated based on feedback taken to heart. Very appreciative to the makers and their mission.
Rubbish
No way to set up the hold breath.
Love this app
Wonderful app for breath work, particularly the Wim Hoff method. So simple, functional, and reasonably priced. I use this almost every day!
Trash from weasel app creator
Trash and very ugly looking app, what kind of weasel just copied the wim hof app but makes an uglier version and thinks it’s worth paying for? FOH
Amazing
So good in my morning routine. Making incremental gains is what’s important. This daily is helping me.
It won't open past the welcome screen
Would love to see more
Always improving - LOVE IT
Ste and Steph are always improving this app. It seems like every time I’ve thought of or wanted an update or new feature, they would come out with it the following week. Stellar app! Highly recommended.
Cannot get past the first ‘Welcome’ screen
This is probably a brilliant app but unfortunately, as of now, it doesn’t work for me on my iPhone. The text seems too large for the screen which blocks what is presumably is a continue button below. Please fix this. I’d love to try out the app.
