I have been using this app for a year or two now, and it was great. The update 5 months ago made the app constantly drop the bluetooth connection, and the app is now useless, because it cannot control the lights. I see many different brands of smart lights use this app for their UI, so all the consumers are left high and dry. Please update the app soon and fix this issue, because it used to be something so amazing.
Better than expected
Despite having a little trouble connecting with the lights at first, I’m actually pleasantly surprised by how well this app works. You can customize the color of every single bulb on the chain.
Good app when it works.
It was a good app before it stopped working because It literally won’t let me do anything to my lights.. I can’t change the color. I can’t turn it off unless I unplug it. I literally can’t do anything. They’re stuck the color I had them previously for months ago.

Had these lights for 2 years no problem, now my app is refusing to connect and my lights won’t change.
Update destruction
The app was fine, easy to use, could control the lights from anywhere. But once I updated the app it completely disconnected from the lights and no longer was able to control the lights and pattern. I’m currently using the remote to operate the lights which defeats the purpose of me getting these instead of another brand… please fix

Was working until
Was working until the recent update and now when I try to connect with the app to my lights they instantly disconnect. Can this bug be fixed?

App stopped working
App stopped working, cannot reset no matter how many times I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and also reset the light strips. What is the alternate option as my lights are “permanently” installed and I would like to be able to use my lights.
Great fun, but not perfect
I have two long 200 strings around different trees in my living room, despite + theoretically letting me pair with one or the other it’s a complete mystery which one is listening. Also as others have mentioned even the slowest flash patterns available are too fast. There seems to be only one way of getting a gentler twinkle for watching TV etc

I can no longer control my lights with this app. Was happy before, not any more. In the trash they go!
worked well at first
i bought these lights about half a year ago and early this week they just stopped connecting to the app. i think there was an update or something but it screwed it all up. now they won’t even connect. and when i hit the switch to connect them in the settings it connects for MAYBE two seconds before immediately disconnecting them. now they’re stuck on an ugly purple and i cant change it. please try and fix this devs bc ik it’s not just me i’ve seen a couple other recent reviews w this same problem

UPDATE: They did yet another update and now the app won’t control the lights yet again! Another update after that failed to fix issue. They really need to a actually test these before they put them out! Nuisance! This app controls my very cool little 20 strand of fairy lights. You can use this app to program each and every little light in any color you want and save your own creations. The app isn’t particularly intuitive or easy to use, but once you figure it out, it makes for some very cool light combinations. That’s when it actually works, because sometimes it just doesn’t work to control the lights for weeks on end, and you are back to using the lousy remote. It started working again recently for some reason with no update, so fingers crossed it continues to work! Also the other problem with the lights is that they will turn off again by themselves within an hour of turning them on for no reason with no timer set! That’s annoying! So they are great lights without really any competition, but you have to put up with lots of issues in this app.
Saddened
Recent update 4.06 has made it impossible to use Bluetooth control via iPhone anymore. Brilliant until this most recent update.

OK but……
Have small window curtain which gives a pleasant display. My main problem is that, in gallery, using the dynamic pictures I cannot control the speed of the patterns or the duration of each scene. It comes across as rushed. I use Twinkly on my tree and that gives me full control of the colours, speed and duration of the scenes. Please, iDealLED, follow suit.
I like it
Despite the other bad reviews, I’ve had no issues at all and actually like the option’s and different features this app offers for its light products. Could it be improved? Absolutely, but it’s pretty decent for a simple LED light strip product.

Fix the app
Since the last update I haven’t been able to control my lights at all. The app says they’re connected but nothing I do changes anything about them. I can’t turn them off now or change the colors.
App only syncs to one song-rest won’t sync
I tried to sync it to my library and only one song loads. I wish there were more animations…I love making custom pictures but wish you could select multiple like you can with the animations….add more

HELP

Lights connected great the first few days after set up, but then app couldn’t find string lights or connect to Bluetooth again even after I followed steps on their troubleshooting instructions. Returned

It’s working but not all the features work properly.
Great simple app
It works well, not sure yet how many sets of light it controls. But I have 2 sets at the moment, 4 more sets on order. The sequences are controlled on the app perfectly. So easy to use. Both sets produce the same patterns when controlled by the app. So many different patterns available. And custom setting for your own designs. Timer function is perfect. Sound to lights also good.

I’ve had these lights for about a year and I love them, due to the recent “bug fixes” though the app no longer works and I can’t turn them on and off with the app instead having to push the button that plugs into the wall. This then messes up the color I had them and I can’t change the color on the app anymore. How do I fix this?
