Nothing like the card game 500
Does not follow any of the unwritten rules of the game, it is actually that bad if you have played the card game you can’t put up with pathetic attempt of it
Pretty good but not always wise bidding
Very confusing how sometimes the Partner’s bidding is way out of line many times overbidding when it didn’t have the cards to support a high bid. That’s my main objection to this particular app, but it’s still better than most.
Serious flaws appearing
Update: Thanks for replacing the ability to claim, as per my previous request, but there’s a serious bug in it. I didn’t claim, the pop up of 'claim rejected' appeared, but will not cancel. I was then stuck in a loop and had to abandon that game.
Partner wastes trump
Why does my partner lead trump when we don’t have the bid? That just forces me to dump trump instead of being able to maybe steal a trick. Update the AI players overbid all of the time, especially North, and mostly on 7 bids. It’s getting to the point that I count on them overbidding and assume they will get set.
Missing One Important Version of the game 🙏 Developers’
With so many different country versions of the game with a large decent custom rule settings. I’m disappointed that there is NO 2 Player Version, Official, plus Custom rule settings, though I would note; that if you make it, at least two rule changes would be that you can choose when to play from hand or table. The other is: you can choose when to turn over the face down card. 2 player five hundred with these changes, makes for a much more interesting strategy and while a allowing for a greater luck/chance factor. Though while I’m here, I’m also going to mention that: there should be a version/setting, playing without partners. Also each computer player level should be able to be set individually. Otherwise a great game so far, though I’m still reviewing it. Pity, it doesn’t allow for connecting to other real human players in real time without time limit for turns. You would need a list of multiple games being played at the same time. Hope to see some of these changes.

Problem with open nullo
When I have had a game where someone from the other team declares open nullo and then loses the trick (by playing the highest card of the suit that was lead) the game proceeded as if he had lost the trick. Whereas the game should have finished at that point and he should have lost. I went back and reviewed the hand that was played to check this was the case, and it was So this is quite a glitch.

Playing Conventions
The partner needs to learn how to play. A third lead of trumps when its obvious the opponent’s are out of trumps. Is a complete NO when playing 500. Need to be able to teach your partner playing conventions otherwise its no use playing. I would br finding a new partner if i was playing in a card school. .
Very frustrating partner
Unfortunately the AI partner is terrible. Makes the worse calls and cannot play off you at all. The game is alright if you try to keep the AI partner out of it

The ‘AI’ in this game is hilarious. There is no I. None at all. The ‘players’ overbid. Overplay and LOSE! It’s the worst version of this game online!!!!
Good game but stupid partner
It’s a good game however your partner can play some idiotic moves and it can be very annoying.
Problem with bot players
It's a solid 500 game, except for the bots' annoying habit of leading trumps back when defending a call.
The rules, but not the conventions
So AI clearly has its limitations. My partner opens with six diamonds. I up that to seven diamonds. I win the bidding and lead with the right bower, SO MY PARTNER PLAYS THE JOKER ON IT! Seriously? And no, obviously it is not their only diamond or they wouldn’t have called it. Again, anyone who opens with a call of six no trumps is, I believe, signalling the joker. Their partner should not leave them stranded there. This app might teach you the rules, but not the conventions. Or good manners and team play.

Constant bad hands
As soon as I paid for no Ads, I was dealt constant bad hands. You just call on bad hands so you can be part of the game! Otherwise you pass on every hand and your partner calls open nullo so you don’t even get to play.
Great game but frustrating partner calling
I love this game but get very frustrated when my partner does not call his Joker on a six call. The way I was to taught to play in a partnership is to always let your partner know you have it particularly if they have already called six of something and you never leave your partner on that call by at least call 7 spades to allow them to call again. That way you only lose 20 points if it doesn’t work out. I was also taught to not go straight into an 8 call if your partner hasn’t called yet because they could be sitting on good offsuit which would help your hand. That’s the art of partnership calling and this game does not work that way unfortunately. It can be quite selfish and very frustrating.

This app used to be good but, it’s change. Now you partner has no clue how to draw out trumps when they do not have the joker. I’m over it!
Has promise
On the setting of hardest play, my north partner often makes really idiotic bids and plays. It also would to be good to be able to have two player mode, the second as either partner or opposition.
Strange strategy for non bidding team to lead trumps
This is a good app - the best 500 App I have found so far. Recently a strange tactic has entered the game where the team that has not won the bid leads trumps - even where it reduces the impact of the trumps they hold. This should fixed. Also, my partner often inexplicably trumps my ace or highest in suite where this is not necessary. Don’t know why these glitches have crept into the app.

The game has great potential, but the fact that you mostly have bad hands whilst the opponents have one strong hand after another really needs to be rectified as it gets frustrating after a while.

The partner issued by the game itself (computer generated) is an idiot and doesn’t know which cards to lead or how to play. So incredibly frustrating

Been playing this game for a while and it’s great to learn how to play. But it is super frustrating when your team mate constantly calls open nullo. It’s annoying just watching three computers play each other every third game.
So bias you never get to lead a hand.
Computer set up to win most times. Would prefer random hands.
Good fun
A well made rendition of 500. My only real annoyance is when my partner wins a bid but then starts off suit even though they have the Joker and both bowers. It just opens us up to getting trumped for no reason.
Unfair and biased AI
Get fed up with the AI continually going NT about 95% of the time. I usually get poor to average hands dealt to me while it seems between the AI team they have everything that opens & shuts. Not a fair supposedly random deal of cards. Hard work to win one hand let alone a game. My partner is not very experienced and is especially bad at open nullo. So many times he’s made big stupid calls and ends up winning half the tricks and worse. The developers need to address this obvious bias. I have been playing 500 for 50+ years so do have some idea of what’s going on
Promising, but …
As other reviews have pointed out, the AI is biased, and you get worse hands than your opponents, and there is far too much nullo. Also, I have “6 NT shows a joker“ checked, but my partner ignores it, and bids 6 of a suit or passes when holding the joker, and passes after I’ve bid 6 NT, which you shouldn’t do. for all the frustration, still enjoying playing.
The Great Australian Game
Misère is called Nullo (after the plain, I think); and Abundance is just 10 tricks, but that’s all obvious and regional. It’s a great app! I’m having fun till ‘Bridge for Dummies’ arrives from Amazon.
Terrible game
Been playing for about a week. Not only do you get every suit dealt in the initial hand, it’s very rare you get an extra trick from the middle. Ads follow every single hand. Partner play is a joke. Give this one a miss.

Partner Problems
While I appreciate that a computerised game would be difficult to construct there are some serious flaws. Partner often over trumps unnecessarily and opponents bid ridiculously high, often losing and going out backwards. I’m learning but now ignore the hints as often don’t make sense.
The cards are stacked against you
Frustrating. Its cheating really because the computer knows what cards its partner has so has the confidence to frequently bid up to 8 of a suite or NT, even though the bidder may hold a pretty ordinay hand, but surprise surprise, its partner has the better hand, Nullo is also frequently bid by the computer, which it always wins, so is just boring.

This game really helps you get to know the rules behind 500. Great for beginners.
So Frustrating to Play
This game is set for you, the bottom player on the table, to continually get bad hands! In fact, I’d go for an hour or more & never place a bid because I held such a dismal hand each round. Some times I actually got to assist my partner to a win. However, I felt that, for the main part, I was left to just watch & barely participate, which is SO frustrating. I’ve been playing this game for at 50 years now & know HOW to play so this version of the game felt like an utter waste of time. Such a shame!!

Unrealistic bidding
Love playing 500. Part of the love of the game is the battle for the bidding but there is no battle in this game. It’s 8 or 9 hands or misere.
Disappointing
I really like the mechanics of this game. Where it falls down is in how the AI behaves and in the obvious stacking of the dealing. I’ve never won so many open misere’s in my life! I have also never got so many 8s and 9s! Unfortunately, the game is a bit broken, but it is also one of the few OK options to play. Wish they would fix it! Cheers
