What’s changed?
I bought this game ages ago and thought I’d have another go on it. Why have I suddenly got to buy rubies to get hints or skip bits?? This wasn’t the case when I first got it. I never buy games that need more purchases. Very unfair of you to change the game to cost me more money!

Enjoyable game
This game is fun to play. The HOPs aren’t too dark and the mini-games are mostly achievable. Storyline is engaging too. Just wish there was an option to pay upfront to get it. It’s hard to know how many “rubies” you will need and now I’m almost at the end with a whole bunch of unused rubies. Bummer.
More $$$
It’s fun, like any normal HO game. But the map is awful and not the least bit helpful. Honestly, I don’t know why they bothered. But the WORST part is that if you need a hint or need to skip a game (there’s a ridiculously difficult to understand game with rearranging dots), you need diamonds. They give you a small amount to start… but to skip a game requires more diamonds than are “given”. And you have to pay to get them. So, you buy the game for $6.99, then they sneak in the extra charges. They should let you know upfront. I won’t buy another HO game from these guys. Ridiculous to have to pay for hints. And, to add insult to injury, you have to pay for the bonus game.
Better than I thought, but not enough diamonds
I did enjoy the game a lot, especially with how I enjoy playing these games. I lucked up with finding this after finishing a couple series from another developer, and glad I did. But I don’t like how everything cost so many diamonds. First, a hint is worth 3 and to skip puzzles is over 10/15 diamonds. And if we’re only going to start off with not merely enough diamonds, then I don’t think things should cost much diamonds. I only used diamonds once to skip a puzzle that just wasn’t letting me complete it (the lock to get get into the clock shop, I think?) and after that, that was it. And in the end, I didn’t even have enough diamonds to complete the bonus chapter. Which also isn’t fair, because why should we fork over diamonds just to play the content already in the game? I do not like that, especially when there’s no way to earn free diamonds. Not even an ad, you just have to spend your money and that’s not fair. Even with having the $1.99, I don’t want to spend my money just to play something that should be a free part of the game anyway. And this kind of puts me off to play any other game made by this developer

…not keen on these “pay as you go” games 🙁before you know it you’ve racked up a fortune! Give the option of buying the game too, please!
Ganz okay
Das Gameplay an sich ist relativ gut genauso wie die Story. Das Design des Spiels ist auch relativ schön und es gibt keinen einzigen nervigen Werbespot. Allerdings gibt es für mich immer noch 2 negative Punkte: was mich einerseits sehr stört ist, dass die Cutscenes auch in diesem Spiel sehr verbuggt und verpixelt sind. Andererseits stört mich, dass man trotz den Namen F2P ab einer gewissen Stelle einfach nicht mehr weiter kommt, ohne In-App-Käufe zu betreiben. Klar ich kann verstehen dass die Entwickler Geld verdienen müssen, aber dann nennt es bitte nicht F2P. Man kommt nicht weiter, da die Rätsel desto weiter man kommt mehr verbuggt werden und man so gezwungen wird die überspringen Funktion zu verwenden, welche Rubine kostet, welche man sich kaufen muss, da man zu wenige am Anfang bekommt. Diese exakt gleichen Probleme hatte ich auch bei „Dark City: Paris“, was ich sehr schade finde, da diese Spiele echt viel Potential haben.
LOVE this series
I have played all 5 of the Dark City series and am obsessed. Great graphics, puzzles etc. I hope they make more of these because think of the possibilities! Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich, Stockholm etc. KEEP THIS GOING!!!
Lumpy game doesn’t uninstall
I uninstalled the app, but it’s still there and can be launched from the App Store.

Reasonable game, lousy interface
The game is a pretty standard adventure/puzzle game. Pretty much what I wanted except the interface is just garbage on my iPad. Regions frequently fail to respond. Solutions to a puzzle don’t work even when they are the right one, because finding the precise way to combine the items on the screen is too hard. Super frustrating.
Could be better
Production quality is decent. Voice acting is ok. Why is there only one song the whole game? Puzzles are either too easy or frustrating. The final microscope puzzle was beyond unreasonable. It’s hard to see and there’s almost no way to keep track of what you’re doing. I ended up brute forcing it by button mashing.
Suspenseful!
Loved this game. Just finished. It definitely kept me wanting to keeping going until the end. It did give me more hints then other games like this. But it made you pay more for certain puzzles. Wished the bonus was FREE! I’m not paying to play something that is so short. I did pay for hints around the middle of it.

I’ve been looking for a good puzzle adventure game developer since I finished all of 5BN This is a good game , interesting well thought out storyline & characters good graphics and puzzles I would recommend it and will definitely by trying some more from this developer 😉

The puzzle for the sleeping drug from the mayor was awful. Could barley see small bubbles at the end of the red and purple circles on phone. Can’t skip. So I’m stuck. What a waist. All that time playing and not enough gems to skip. No more from the developer.

Ho già giocato un altro Dark City e l’ho trovato favoloso rispetto anche a tanti altri, ma questo, poco dopo averlo iniziato, mi ha chiesto di sbloccarlo per continuare Una stella per questo altrimenti sarebbero state 5 per grafica e tipologia
Pocket Watch puzzle
I love these types of point & click adventure games. This one was enjoyable enough that I purchased the bonus game for a mere $1.99 I had some issues with the pocket watch puzzle with the rotating rings. At first I couldn’t find the tiny dog, but after numerous tries, and with the kind help of the developer I found it. The game then crashed and closed after I selected the dog ( it was the last item I needed). It repeated this oddity several times. The game would shut down after selecting the last item on the pocket watch, and then I would restart the game and it would do it again. I ended up restarting the whole game over, and after that it was just fine with no glitches. Maybe it was just an issue with my phone, but it was a frustrating thing to have happen. I still gave this game a high rating because of the overall experience.

Can this game cheat you?
You are asked a question towards the end of a game. If you answer wrong, the main game ends even though there are many unexplored areas. I had just purchased extra tokens just prior thinking I had a long way to go. The bonus game is unrelated to the main game. I’m disappointed.

Es muy entretenido. Tiene unos interesantes y entretenidos acertijos que se pueden resolver solo pensando un poco y unos gráficos excelentes. No le doy 5 estrellas porque no tiene como opción el idioma español.

Sound does not work
This looks like such an interesting and exciting game but whenever I try to play, after about five seconds the sound completely stops and everything is silent. Obviously having no sound just ruins the entire thing so I’m super disappointed because I was really looking forward to this game. I’m sure it’s fantastic with sound.
