What a gem!
Late afternoon, obvious UTI in my older dog who has had them before. Facing after hour vet, pricing, know exactly what she needs, last time ended up with a $1700 vet bill for a UTI after fear mongering and upselling- Found this app, did some separate research on reviews, used it and had an appointment with a licensed veterinarian within 20 minutes. Spent about 15 minutes on the phone and within three hours had picked up painkiller and antibiotics at a local 24 seven pharmacy. The wait at the pharmacy was actually the hardest part. So that we connected with was able to message me back-and-forth when the pharmacy had not received the fax, she immediately called it in herself and I was out the door 10 minutes later. She followed up the next day to check in on our dog, Pippin, and how she was feeling. This was and is an amazing tool that we are so glad to have found!
Impossible to cancel subscription
I attempted multiple times to cancel this subscription they ended up charging me for another $100+ for the next term and refused to refund me even though I attempted to cancel prior and finally got them to cancel after they’d charged me again.
Message
Difficult to find how to message a vet. The message notifications email is not linked to the app, every time I click on the link asking me to download the app but I have already had the app downloaded.
If you don’t take cases in Las Vegas, Nevada, then don’t answer your phone
Why take somebody’s money over the phone when you can’t help them because you live in a certain State.. This is unacceptable and should be fixed.
Ripoff
Wasted $120 only to be told that my state doesn’t allow telemedicine prescriptions. Seems like something that you should disclose at signup. UPDATE: I emailed support and they promptly issued a refund. I’m adding two more stars for the honesty and integrity. It should still be disclosed at sign up.

When it’s something that doesn’t required an office visit, it’s Vetster , 100%
Limited RX’s
Limited with the RX’s they are allowed to prescribe. They charge you to send RX’s to a local pharmacy. Shipping options are expensive if you want the meds in a decent amount of time.
Great and useful app
This app is great and super useful in the real world. I recommend getting it if you have a pet. To the developers and product managers of this app: You are missing a critical feature. Photo sharing with the vet during the video session is key because during the call its difficult to get your cat / dog to do what you want immediately making the session not as useful as it could be. Invest in this feature, it will change the flow of the conversation and make it easier for the person seeking help. I should be able to upload a video to the video call "room" so they can view it. This is a scam. Don’t do it.
During the appointment not before, I was told that a licensed veterinary cannot write a prescription. They can only provide the same information that you can find online if you check with ChatGPT. They still charged me for $120. God knows how I was able to put this money together and I put it as a priority over my eyes contacts. Because I don’t want my kittens to be sick. This is a scam. Don’t do it. They’re not gonna help you go search you’ll find the same information online if you ask the right questions.
Slow
The vet was ok but ordered 3 medications and said none could be picked up from a pharmacy. All mail so they used usps and 9 days after my appointment it’s still in transit . 120$ visit 130$ meds . Do yourself a favor and go the the local veterinary

Unable to cancel
If I was able to cancel rating would be better. The vet and care was 4. But I wish to cancel program now and there is no way to cancel. Poor design.
What a waste
Wish I had know. Paid for the membership, but after meeting with the vet, found out they can’t or won’t prescribe and can’t order blood work so after paying for the visit all the vet could do was tell me to go visit my local vet. Don’t waste your time or money. The app is beautifully designed and easy to use.

Check the state!
Make sure when you schedule an appt you make sure the provider can prescribe medications in your state. They will tell you they cannot give meds but will continue with consultation. Then tell you to schedule another appt for a licensed provider to give a prescription for your state. Thankfully the provider I saw gave me otc options in the note. Basically a waste of time. Chat gpt could have done the same thing unfortunately.
Good vets, hidden fees
I’ve been using vetster for a while and have amazing experiences with the vets. They’ve recently implemented hidden charges of almost $20 to dispense the prescription to pharmacy. This is in addition to the vet visit. I’m on an annual subscription plan and was not informed of this charge which showed up in the middle of my subscription year. Very disappointed and very scummy practice.
Doggie with Issues
After purchasing the yearly subscription I have been pleased to know there is my Vet available, Michelle Lapera has been an Angel She has addressed so many concerns as they appear, She takes time to explain ailments, what to use, how to administer, what to watch out for, out three phone calls are mostly trying different things to treat dogs ear infections that seem ruthless, now an allergic reaction-I am more at ease when our call is done, let me add the only thing I would change about Vester, is the 48hours you have to communicate how the medication is working or any other concerns, it should have where the doctor has a message board, because sometimes it takes medication 4-6 days to arrive, to administer and to see any changes. But I like the doctor She is very helpful, professional with advice, pleasant to talk to...

There’s a reason there are veterinarians in your neighborhood! This place is going to take your money, you will not save money or take a shortcut here ! Do what’s right by your animal and your heart ! Told us same thing Google was and she was just looking up symptoms online!!
Vet Fantastic; App Misleading
Firstly, the vet we booked was absolutely brilliant. On point, caring, and thorough. More information in 30 minutes that our vet has ever given us. However, she explained that there are strict limits on what vets can prescribe without physically seeing the animal, whereas the app just says “can prescribe medication”, leading you to think vets can prescribe in the same way as a visit to the local vet in person. I thought this was misleading [by the app creators], but it is in no way a reflection on the vet herself who was fantastic.
10/10 Care When You Need It Most
We live in a time where customer service, compassion, and timely medical care feel harder and harder to come by—especially when it comes to pets. Being able to see a veterinarian last minute is almost unheard of. Vetster has been incredible. Dr. Levisman and the Vetster team showed up when it mattered most—7 AM appointments for a sick dog and cat, and then continued support later in the day helping me navigate getting prescriptions filled. That kind of follow-through is rare. The convenience and affordability alone is amazing, but what really stands out is the genuine care and responsiveness. In stressful situations, that makes all the difference. Honestly… what did I do before this?

The doctors are good, but team communication is really bad. Unless you are doing nothing and seating on your phone 24/7. Your animal will die before you get your medication. If you are a busy person, just go directly to the doctor. Your communication with the team will take all your time, that you can use for work or getting done some other tasks. I loved the doctor and was so happy for some savings. But if you do not get your meds or if it takes 2-3 weeks to get them all the doctor’s work is pointless. Extremely disappointing .

Such a resource!
I’m not sure I’ve ever left a review for an app but this app is a lifesaver at a time when I really needed it. The ease of accessing care at a time when everything else was falling apart was the best. The vet I saw, Dr. Owens was amazing and this app makes it so easy to get prescriptions and everything else. Give it a try. You won’t regret it!
Unconscionable Price Gauging
My dog had diarrhea while traveling and I had spent two nights getting up every two hours. He’s a very healthy young dog so I knew I probably just needed some meds. Talked with a vet. She basically confirmed he was fine and just needed som meds to calm his tummy and stop the diarrhea. She said I would get a visit summary and I could have the meds mailed to my hotel. I waited all day for the visit summary and a confirmation that meds are on the way. Fed him chicken and rice as I had been to help make the situation better. But he started having diarrhea again late at night. Headed to the ER to get meds. Took 15 minutes and another $300 (on top of the $100 I paid on vetster). Got the meds and my dog and I finally got some sleep. Next morning I finally get the visit summary and the prescription for the meds. Turns out that the same “prescription meds” are available at many different stores around the country for $29 when this vetster vet wanted to charge me $90 some bucks for the EXACT same medication…same exact packing, same exact ingredients, same exact strength. WOW…I know vet care is a business but come on. This is just not right! $102 for a 10-15 minute call with a vet that helped me zero and then had to wait 24 hours to get a script I didn’t even need. I would rather pay more to see an emergency vet and get help right away and get some sleep for me and my lovely doggo 😊🙏🏻
