No copy and paste permitted
It’s like one line of code that would take a developer 5 minutes to find and submit, but now I have to spend like 45 seconds going back and forth to enter coordinates I found in Skipper Bob book into Google maps. Unacceptable for a paid app.
Tough to use
The electronic version is not intuitive to follow, the print copy is much more practical

Waterway guide is a good product, however their in need for a new design to navigate and locate information .

Always reference for marinas, moorings, and fuel.
Very thin info
There’s 100 times more info on a chart. In my view cruising guides should expand on charted info. Don’t waste your money on this guide, it’s fundamentally useless

Helpful information, but not available in Cuba. You need to download everything before you go to Cuba. Support does not answer.
Couldn’t navigate the Chesapeake Bay and ICW without this
We use Garmin and Navionics as we sail, but WWG gives us the best anchorages and ways to calculate distances easily. Love the reviews of anchorages and the alerts. Definitely worth the money!
App not working with iOS 16.5
Can’t get the app to load at all. Please update!
App stopped working this morning
Sorry, but you get two stars when I pay for the $179 subscription and only have three days of using the app before it completely dies. I’ll change the rating if/when this gets fixed but until then you’re gonna get a bad review. My husband and I deleted and reinstalled the app on both of our phones, (yes, our phones are updated with the latest iOS), and all we get is “Something went wrong. Please try again.” Extremely disappointed. There’s nothing we could find online to see if was something on our end, so not quite sure what to tell the devs at this point.

Just started using this app and so far so good…
Worthless
I’ve purchased a lot of apps, and this one might be great if I could use it, but from day one it’s been problematic. When I first purchased it, I could not access it, which required a chain of emails to gain access. Same problem now and when I try a password reset, it has no record of my email. Fortunately I only purchased one “book”, but I’m done. I’ve deleted it since it truly is worthless because it’s not accessible.
Wrong fuel info
Pretty decent marina guide but all of the fuel information is wrong.

App not working
App has not worked for the past week. Taking a trip to New Orleans and wanted to preview marinas there. Not happy with app!🤬
So frustrating! (Updated Review)
Update (6/4/2022) The developer has reached out to me and explained how to get out of ‘library’ or ‘publication jail’ as I called it. The solution: Just make sure you select a free publication and then you’ll be able to navigate around. They were also interested in learning where I was having the quitting issue, and I supplied as much information as my fuzzy memory could, and will send them more information in the future as it happens. Changing my review to 3 stars and will revisit this review again after more use to see if the quitting issue is resolved. Original review: I have up to date OS and iphone 11, updated app, and it still quits constantly, and it still requires a restart to get out of ‘publication jail’ — probably not the experience you intended to deliver. You have great books though!
New Bahama Guide by Addison Chan
WOW! I am so impressed with the new Bahama guide from Addison Chan!!! Such good information and very detailed and easy to follow. Looking forward to using other waterway guides as well!
Inaccurate & Unreliable
App works 1/4 of the time… other times you can’t even log in. Super frustrating when on the water and looking for marinas. Also, loads of marinas are not even in the database. Errors such as transiate slips, pump outs, etc. are all real headaches when the app says the Marina has them but in fact they are physically not present. Paid and downloaded the Waterways add on for iNavX and it’s even worse than this app. Save your frustrations, time and money.
Great info if and when it starts
Lots of great info available in it but the app is so flaky to start. It’s frustrating when you are trying to find info about an area quickly. Sometimes it starts quick and easy but that is very rare. Enough to cause 2 star loss.
APP is great!!
I have been using APP for about 4 years! It is a great reference for reviewing everything boating! Also finding Marinas/Fuel/Phone Numbers!
Full of bugs
Does not work well. Library won’t load consistently. Very flaky
No depths, cumbersome navigation
I LOVE Waterway guide and their people are awesome, but this app is not ready for public use. I purchased to have the data available offline, but it’s hard to navigate since the format is so different from the website. Just get the hard copy for the areas you need, in combo with the website you’ll be much happier.

Not possible to subscribe to individual chapters
I repeatedly tried to subscribe to chapters in the Southern guide to no avail. It reports that the subscription is successful and after 2 seconds I get a pop up message about not being able to find a receipt. When I try to access the chapters I bought, it displays that I don’t have any subscriptions. I tried to refresh the subscriptions within the app and restarting several times with no luck. Not even sure if I have been charged several times after the multiple attempts.
Waterway Guide is the best!
3,500 miles into the Great Loop and I could not imagine planning marinas without the phone app version of WWG - the reviews are so important!
App errors
So disappointing that every time I need the app I get an “oops something went wrong” error. Fed up with the unreliability.
Excellent Aqua Map Integration
As one of your first users of Aqua Map many years ago I am writing to thank you for your wonderful application and its integration with and continuing relationship with Aqua Map Charts. Hopefully with the ease of integration more and more users will take the opportunity to provide crowd sourced information for anchorages and marinas! I hope and implore all Aqua Map users to actively provide updates to Waterway Guide through Aqua Maps! Let us all make both the invaluable tool for updated information while cruising.
Almost unusable
Layout and organization is not intuitive and the app is very glitchy. Don’t bother.
