Poor customer service
UPDATE 16.05.25 UPDATE 29.08.26 Paid for lifetime access previously now asking me to subscribe and pay again. Contacted CS- no reply. Stay away from this app. Not many people on here anyways so doubt you will find a match Made a new profile, this had been wiped as well, joke app App was updated and my profile was wiper. I contacted Sunnah match on 18.01.25. Was told it was pass to the coder. I chased it a few times was told same thing. Was then ignored. Been over two months. I contacted them again only to be told it has been passed on and it’s out of their hands. What a joke of service.
Good App
It is a good app it is just very buggy when you scroll all of a sudden it just starts to bug and won’t stop. This app seems to be upon the sunnah. And people are actually serious for marriage. If the developers fix this bug problem it would have gotten 5 stars. But, just FYI I have not used the paid version yet, since it is too expensive.
Paywall
The app seems to be alright. But a lot of the women on it seem to be pretty strict about culture etc. A lot of the user base is from the UK or countries around the world. It’s a bit buggy and it’s behind a massive paywall. Unless you pay 66 bucks for half a year you can’t do anything at all. Not worth the money. I also try to delete my account and it doesn’t seem to do anything
Not enough suitors.
There simply are not enough sisters under 23 in the UK using this app. Also I think only the men should have to pay a membership and women should be able to accept and respond to mens requests without paying. I'd happily recommend it to any Muslim who is serious about finding a spouse.
As a Muslim looking for a serious relationship with marriage in mind, I've had a really positive experience with this app. The profiles seem genuine, it's easy to find people who share similar values, and the whole platform feels respectful and focused on helping Muslims find the right partner. The app is simple to use, and it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a safe and trustworthy experience. I'd happily recommend it to any Muslim who is serious about finding a spouse.

No response at all to emails. App not working at all
Tired of login failure
Every time i want to login, using email or google, i need go to my email to click the magic link every time. Then i was requested to reenter my name and later only to get a response that the profile ID already exist. Before i stop give this app another try, care to resolve this immediately, anyone?
Needs work
Good intentions but the apps needs lot of work before you can charge people and call it a service. It’s freezes at time but the worse thing is that you update your profile and it resets automatically without actually scaring any changes
Needs to be worth the money.
Not worth it unless u pay and not enough people are willing to pay so paying members end up liking you but the membership is such a bump that your not gonna get one to accept the requests u have so u just quietly let it expire 😂😂. Ive been both kind of people and then I just stop using the app
A great update
The admin have responded quickly and professionally every time, and the latest update has made this app the best in my opinion for halal searching.

As others mentioned, it seems like a money-making scheme. The app is full of bugs and low-quality features, targeted just to earn money rather than streamlining the matchmaking process for the believers. Often the app goes down completely. Seems like the team working on it is just using ChatGPT to write code with no skills whatsoever. May Allaah help the manufacturers to purify their intentions. Also not to mention, men with predatory/unethical behaviour are not banned even when you report them.
Needs improvements/updates
I agree with the points ‘Nisjekwosnwm’ made. Please revise and make this improvements In’Sha’Allah. Other than that make dua for me to find a righteous wife 😅
Wiped my profile data randomly
Just randomly wiped out most of my profile info and it wont let me log into my account anymore. It prompts me to choose my gender after logging in then gives me an error message saying my account already exists. Logged in on safari and basically all my profile info disappeared
Good but needs improvements
I pray Allah blesses the brothers for facilitating a platform for practising brothers and sisters to seek marriage the halal way ameen Some suggested improvements/bugs: - App does not work unless connected to wifi (automatically logs out) - Some profiles have bugs eg does not allow me to click a brother’s profile/will repeat the same profile when I click a different one (glitch). - Optional comment for why a profile is rejected - A feature to show when the profile was last active/logged into (sometimes you don’t get a response) - Additional filters - eg creed/manhaj to filter salafi as a lot of non salafis have joined the app. - Additional filter - specific location city eg London, height, - potentially personality type? - An option/tick box to ask brothers to send a picture to the Wali’s number جزاك الله خيرا

This app is great. I have met wonderful people on here that have improved my deen.
Disappointing + Frustrating
As mentioned by others, the app has potential but it all seems like a money making scheme. The purpose is to make finding spouses easier yet you’re asked to pay £30 a month for what, to view profiles? Even a Netflix subscription costs 6x less than that. For those of us who cannot afford that, especially sisters (!), this is quite ridiculous and certainly does not seem so ethical. It does not make sense to prevent people from accepting a chat or a request purely because they do not have a subscription - at least one party does! Not to mention the constant app bugs that have been going on for probably over a year. Migrate to Pure Matrimony is my advice to customers. As for the sunnah match team - lower prices will bring many more customers and will probably increase your revenue so… think about it.
Review
The the app has potential, but there’s a bug in the system. I paid for the unlimited version week after my profile completely gone, which is frustrating and dont even have the desire to even create a new one Let alone get my money back.
App is good when it works
App was working fine until recently alhamdulilah, when I logged out for a month or so and tried to come back and log in, I could not even get past the loading screen when you start up the app, and when I got to the login, entered the details and pressed login, nothing would happen. Issue needs fixing may Allah reward everyone who has worked on the app.
An Exceptional Platform for Halal Matches
This app has been a true blessing. I found my wife on this app, and we couldn’t be happier. Its user-friendly filters, well-structured Wali system, and focus on halal connections make it stand out. May Allah bless the creators for facilitating such meaningful relationships. Ameen.
Broken and unusable
I can’t set a date of birth, I can’t set a phone number (error), I can’t delete my account and start again because it freezes everytime I click delete! Even on the desktop version it logs me out instantly everytime I click ‘settings’. It’s completely broken! Please fix!
Good concept
I have been using SunnahMatch for quite a while now and when I first started using it, it was great. You pay and then you have a number of requests you can give and you can accept or reject any that come your way, simple. Now you can join but a free version where you can’t send requests or even accept them?? Recently I have found a few good matches but because they are on the free version they cant accept or reject my request. Instead people are putting email addresses or social media in their bio’s to ask people to get in touch which defeats the point of this being a halal matchmaking service. Furthermore, I’ve had a bug/issue with filtering my matches for over 6 months and I have sent emails to customer service and have had no real response from them.

Not islamically compliant
Personally speaking, there is not enough filtering of weird men and predators. The admin team barely respond and if they do its half hearted disingenuous responses where they truly dont show any remorse for the situations brought forth. The co owner of the app is also looking for marriage and even one conversation with him made me realise it does just seem like a money game. His obsession with me not knowing who he was, was quite off putting and questionable. The app glitches and seriously it makes no sense why you cant see who’s viewed your profile. At least the free version should THAT available even if you cant ‘like’. Honestly, my experience has been terrible and men on there ive come across are just predators and not truly practising or have strength in their deen or taqwa! This isnt all men, but ngl a lot of them. May Allah guide us all!
“Error sending request”
I get this “Error sending request” message whenever I try to request a profile.
UX / Features needs improving
- Ide recommend having the option to select multiple ethnicity. - Do not include profiles on the search directory of those that have been declined. - Include the filter option for height. - Feedback should be transparent when being declined, this should be optional where the end user can write something or choose from a list of options. - Integrated support without emailing having have to email and get no response.

Can’t delete account or hide profile
App freezes Everytime you try deleting your account not sure if it’s intentional and even if profile is hidden still getting nudges and requests. Still poorly built

Can’t create a profile for about a week. It’s an internal error within Sunnah Match’s page. Fair enough they do respond to your emails. But feels as if they have no clue about the problem, even though someone flagged it up on the 6th of November. People have payed for your service fix up.

Major improvements are needed
I appreciate the effort behind creating this platform and may Allah reward you for trying to provide a halal alternative. However, a lot of work still needs to be done on this app. While there is a feedback website where users can share suggestions and vote on needed features, the updates being released don’t actually address the main issues raised by the community. Important features, such as a proper block option (which is essential for ensuring the app remains a safe space), are still not being implemented. Overall, the app has potential, but it feels like the most important improvements are being overlooked.

I like the concept but the app keeps crashing the filters are not specific enough (city, height, Manhaj, etc should have a section for matched profiles Filter out requested profiles already Have a last seen time stamp on profiles This app is very expensive compared to others which I don’t mind paying as long as app works and keeps improving
Great service
I have had a very good experience using sunnah match. It’s a great way to meet serious Salafis looking to get married and the whole process is very respectful. The developers also work tirelessly to develop the product. Consequently ,there are often upgrades to the service. I have personally made some great matches on it and it’s definitely a 5 star for me.
Not worth your money
Very slow and bad app, lags consistently. I’ve paid for a membership for no reason, doesn’t let me edit profile or request people. Support don’t get back to you either so it’s not worth it.
Amazing service
Alhamdulillah this app is growing every week and has a wide variety of options.. all real profiles which you won’t find anywhere else, for people who follow the Sunnah
Money scheme?
Don’t not download this app unless you want to spend money on a low quality service. The people are good, but I find it hard to believe they are if they are making you pay for an app like this. Just seems like a money scheme. Requests option not fully functional. Profile bugs. The list goes on. I want to give the founders the benefit of the doubt but it is very hard to do so. If you’re looking for spouse make dua and look through your community. Not these apps. Not to say the people are bad because you can see good intentions. But don’t let founders like these take your money and give you a low quality service. Fix your app. Assalumalaikum.
