- Very easy to set up
- Totally free with no subscription
- Works seamlessly across all devices
What they complain about
- Images don't transfer to new phones

- Constantly asks for photo permissions again
- Stopped working after iOS updates
Perfect!
A thank you to the developer! This app is great! Does just what I need it to with a simple interface.
Used to work great
Suspect this has to do with terrible apple photos redesign but it seems like I have to individually select pictures I want in the widget now. I can’t just pick a list (eg favorites). I can go to favorites but then I have to select pictures one by one. This defeats the purpose of using the widget to show my pictures I haven’t seen in a long time. I used to love this but it’s not longer useful to me with this change.
Good app just one annoyance
I really like it the only thing that’s kind of annoying is the pictures will change sometimes even when I don’t tap to change
No support for albums
The app and the instructions for it say it supports adding albums to the widget settings, but there’s no buttons for that. There’s also no way to create a widget of type album like the instructions say. Kind of inconsistent and scatterbrained. I’ll use a different widget app thanks.
Love this widget
Hopefully this will support XL widgets coming in iOS 27! Been using this widget flawlessly for years cant live without it.
Images did not transfer from iPhone 14 Pro Max to iPhone 16 Pro Max
Definitely does not transfer images from iPhone 14 Pro Max to iPhone 16 pro Max. Everything else transfers to my new phone but the images I put into this app did not transfer & the creator of the app is no help at all…just be careful when upgrading to a new phone you might have to re import the images all over again & re do everything all over again… Update: The app actually DOES NOT work, yes I contacted the creator but was no help at all, I waited for 3 day the images did not transfer over & had to redo it over again!! Be careful when trying to update it from older phones your images might not transfer over it happened to me. This is a great app when it works but transferring to a new phone it will not transfer your images…
Could be better
Yes, seemingly the best photos app with the least privacy intrusions, but while it suggests you can use your full photos collection, that’s not the case. You have to manually select what you want to show. How is it possible windows phone got this right, but 10 years later, no one has managed it again?
Awesome
Love this app ! Thanks !!
It's FAKE 😢
😭
Cool but can we change one thing please
So I’m using this to show my favourite albums and use url links to Apple Music. But can you change the text underneath the photos instead of saying “photo widget” I’d like the name of the album I wanna play. Thanks for the great app!!!!!
Excellent and beautiful
Very easy to use and I love how the widget has time options to change to the next photo on the widget. Totally recommend.
Bedienung
Family
I get to see a variety of family members many times a day. I love it!
Rare good free app
Great. Simple to use, no tracking no subscription and no cost. All other apps track and want you to rent for life. If you want a picture play widget this is the one. Only issue is I have it set for 1 min and sometimes the picture doesn’t change at all on iOS 16.1. Maybe Apple in their “wisdom” will one day allow customers to choose a faster speed for different pictures and also stop deciding what pictures we can see using Apples widgets.
App funktioniert auf dem Homescreen nicht
Die App ins grundsätzlich top. Leider funktioniert diese auf dem homescreen nicht. Statt Fotos steht dort nur: „Long-press Here ans select „edit Widget“ to pick ups an Album With photos to Show in the Widget“ Leider lässt sich kein Album auswählen bzw egal was man in der Suche eingibt. Es wird kein Album gefunden.
Like carrying photos in your wallet
You know that space in your wallet for a photo or two? You might stick a photo of your loved one there or in another part of your wallet hidden away until you pull it out? This app kinda feels like that. I don’t have a hundred photos in rotation, just a couple on each widget. There’s something authentic about it and sometimes I forget that the widgets are there and so when I swipe to those pages and see them it gives me a sense of joy. As far as technical features go, I like that the app allows me to choose photos from the Files app file system because I don’t want those same photos to get lost in the Camera Roll because they’re extra special to me.
Sehr schade
Only App that Sources from Albums
I like that with this app I don’t have to add a whole nother set of photos to some app’s albums. This app just pulls from my favorites or other albums on my iPhone’s photos app. It’s a little buggy though which is why I gave it 4 stars
Amazing 👑
Thank you for providing such an excellent app. 🙏
Work well for awhile
Work well for a while, after the ios16 update it's keeps asking for access to all photos, I granted access but it keeps asking, it shows in the settings that access is granted and it still doesn't work, moving on.
love it
LOVE IT
100 is not enough
100 is not enough for photos in photo widget
Simply amazing photos widget sync with iCloud
This user-friendly photo widget app has no ads or complications. Users have full control over which photos to display, actions when tapping on the widgets, customization options to show one photo or a full album, and more. You don’t have to create an account or sign up. Just create an iCloud shared album and download the app on all your devices. Then, add a photo widget to your home screen, set it to display photos from the iCloud album. As a college student, sticky notes are essential for saving math formulas, physics equations, and semester schedules. I haven’t found a sticky note app good enough, but this photo widget can replace sticky notes and do much more. Now I can see all my sticky notes from my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.
Buggy after new iOS
This was awesome but now it’s buggy and loses its media in your widgets leaving a blank slide
Einzelnes Foto?
Does what it promises to do
Very easy to use.
And it all went downhill
So for the first month or two this worked perfectly but as of late it’s stopped working and won’t show more than one photo from the list. Totally ruins the point of it. 👎
Does what it’s supposed to
Great app. Been using it for my vaccine passport so that I don’t need to scroll through my photos. One complaint I have is that when I only grant permission to a selection of photos (rather than my whole photo library), the app constantly asks if I want to add more permissions when I click the widget. It should just remember the choice and not ask for more permissions again.
Great app
Works as intended
What I’ve been looking for!
Indifferent to app. More entertaining is the developer’s favourite hobby: unfairly calling out any negative reviews to his thousands of Twitter followers. The irony is clearly not lost on the developer either, as this review too was put on blast.
