If you don’t purchase ad free, you will get swamped with the ads. I don’t mind them too much, however, they deactivate the games sound. The only way to fix is pray you get another ad that breaks it back on again. Wish devs would fix this

This game’s story is awesome the boss fights were so fun If I ever struggled at a part I would just change want form I was using and what items I was using It never felt to restrictive on what I had to do and I love the forms I think the look so cool and the I like the little bit of post game stuff they added. But can you give the post game more stuff the ability was cool but where am I supposed to use it.

This game is really nice it’s just so adorable and happy but the final region is really hard I mean sure it is part of the difficulty curve (the progression of the game’s difficulty) but still it should NOT have to be this hard and ultimately I am okay with that just pointing it out and also I think mombo should be able to have a super attack like he gets 20 hits on enemy’s in a totem fight then he gets a speed boost but that’s just a suggestion and also ‼️really good idea incoming‼️like building your own level.

Eu tô já zerando o jogo, mas tá difícil! Não é aquelas avaliações genéricas reclamando de dificuldade, mas sim por um bug: nessa luta você tem que trocar a forma de mombo, mas na maioria das vezes, o mombo fica paralisado, assim, ele faz eu perder a luta. Mas o jogo é muito bom!

An amazing game
My review disappeared so I'm writing another one. I found this game from one of the Devs sharing it with the Mario Maker community on H'Roth's twitch, and boy is it fantastic. :) It's a great retro platformer with some fun twist mechanics and hidden Easter eggs. It was a blast to play through, and definitely worth a few dollars. I do think that it's worth getting rid of the ads as they get annoying and the game is worth it upfront (I personally would prefer just purchasing it outright! Which I did on the Switch haha) but otherwise I have no complaints with the game. Cheers, and Mombo Combo!

Amazing game
Amazing movement and fighting mechanics. I love how each form has a unique movement mechanic, and how the original form is kept relevant with upgrades. I do feel though that the plant form and the electricity form are underused and I feel as though the rest of the forms are better. Other than that, probably the second best if not best metroidvania style platformer for mobile I’ve played

Terrible controls mar what could be great.
I have unfortunately tried and swiftly deleted all three Orube games. The controls, especially in this one, just never rise to the level that the gameplay demands. I could see the writing on the wall early with this one. To the person that said you just need a good device, thanks for the laugh. I guess the newer iPhones have a new telepathic interface that doesn’t require touch controls?

Seems fun but I’m using a controller and right off the bay I run across a shield that you can activate… no button on the controller will activate it so you have to touch the screen.
A Very Fun Quest
This has been a fantastic game to play through. Though not entirely finished as of writing this, I’ve experienced a solid 90% of the game and feel confident in giving a 5/5 stars. The art style is gorgeous and never feels too repetitive, the characters are all pretty interesting (and witty), fun boss fights, etc. Each of the worlds in the game feel unique and offer new game mechanics and secrets to explore. I’ve seen people complain about the controls and while I do agree it has a learning curve, I was able to get used to them pretty quickly and it didn’t hinder my play through. This is a metroidvania inspired game (open world where you can progress in a non linear fashion) and I feel like they did the genre justice; the worlds always felt pretty open but never got too confusing where I couldn’t figure out my next objective. Overall, a very fun game with a lot of heart. *But could y’all update and remove the Christmas theme. It’s March 👀

Literally, you play 20 seconds of a very dull and boring platformer and are forced into an ad when moving into the second screen of the tutorial… Nope. Hard Pass. Go pound sand, greedy simpletons.
Amazing platformer (with flaws)
Hours of fun with great graphics, strong audio, decent controls, lots of replay…it’s all there! Solid 4 star game, worth your time and money. So much fun! Reasons for the reduction in stars: 1. No way to sync game data to Apple or FB account means when the game freezes, and you have to delete and reinstall, you will loose all progress. (It has happened, twice.) 2. Poor in-game map UX and UI design, which is surprising given how well the game is designed. 3. A bug in Mombo’s leaf form that often renders Mombo unmovable when using leaf glide. 4. Unbelievably difficult final world that’s nearly unbeatable. I mean, I beat it (all levels @ 100% completion), but that just means only an elite few will. 5. You end up with 100k+ in crystals by the end of the game, after you have purchased all there is to offer. (Give us something to spend our hard earned crystals on, please.)
Not quite perfect mobile platformer
This is a very cute game, and everything about it is so solid… that the controls really stick out like a sore thumb. Get it? Thing? Cause you play with your thumbs? Touch screen controls are just a curse for precise platforming gameplay. There’s no way around it, I’ve never seen it done in a way that works reliably - and when you’re playing a game that punishes you for deaths by taking away the stuff you’ve earned, it ends up being prohibitively frustrating. With a controller, this would be an almost perfect game… with touch screen controls, it’s an almost unplayable game, and that is so sad, because it’s so close to being solid. You simply cannot ask players to preform tight jump / double jump / dash / stomp / wall-jump maneuvers given the controls that are available on touch screen devices.

Why is the level where it looks like flappy bird near the end of the game so hard you need to give mombo fire resistance when he’s in his fire form otherwise it just not fair for the player
One of the BEST mobile games I’ve ever played
I usually don’t write reviews but this game was different from the first level I played I was hooked and to a game that hardly has any attention so I was shocked when I found out this was an AMAZING game. The controls are simply, the music is catchy, the ability’s are easy to use just everything about this game is perfect and you don’t even need to pay a dime to play. Devs if you read this (which I hope you do) keep up the hard work and please make more games like. I’ll be sure to let all my friends know about this game!!!

This is one of the best platformers I’ve seen on mobile. I paid for ads to be disabled and they weren’t, don’t know what happened there.
Great game but…
Overall pretty fun! Characters are fun, game is your typical platformer. Nothing new gameplay wise, but the story is well done. I had two issues with this game, 1/ no offline play(must pay), you must play with internet for adz🤑 2/ controls were frustrating, felt like they didn’t respond half the time(resulting in my death) Platformer games are usually intense, having a more responsive control system is required.

The ads in the game disrupt the gameplay and flow of the game and cause an annoying experience to plays, also if I’m out in public and wanted to play this on my phone, I might not because it requires wifi to play, which means If you do play this game, your guaranteed to get ads while playing. Last thing is you must pay to play offline which is annoying, ads I get but offline, come on. The graphics are good, the movement and gameplay are great and lastly the characters have unique designs and the story is alright.
