Great for the mind!
It relaxes, helps memory, exercises thinking, all without stress. Because although the puzzles are very reasonable it helps you along the way if you get stuck, with small hints, or videos if you don’t quite understand. And then there’s the reasonable price… need I say more?

The puzzles are so randomly all over. It is too much and paying for the hints doesn’t work as they too are random. Wished I could refund

Not great
This was not as good as the first one. Some of the clues were complete nonsense and the only way to progress was to pay the $1 to get access to the video clues or search it online yourself. I’m all for a good challenge but these were not well thought out and the story line was kind of boring. It’s not a terrible way to pass the time but there are better puzzle games out there!
Decent game….but….
I bought this game as it was suggested that these games are similar to Fire Maple games. While the graphics are similar; that is where it ends. Confusing puzzles where clues don’t match up and screens with no indication that there may be something there. I will give it points for including a fast travel system tho. If you are like me and waiting for the next Fire Maple game To come out, this may be your cup of tea - as confusing as it may be.

I would have given it 5 stars but there were 3 puzzles which really didn’t make any sense, even with the video clues.

Some puzzles make no sense and clues are $1.99! You tube walkthroughs $o. Other than that attempt at a rip off the games are fun
Least favorite game
I’ve never enjoyed a Syntaxity game less. The clues were counterintuitive and the paying for hints is trash. I tried playing the game twice. The first play through was so painful I got stuck and gave up. I decided to go back and try again and was completely shocked at how much I didn’t like this game. I have played Rusty Lake, Glitch Games and The Room series more than once and on each occasion enjoyed every aspect of the game even on a second play through. This game was either a sad money grab or just plain lazy.
Great, but …
Great, but I find it too difficult at times. I feel it would help if they left more than one clue, for each puzzle. I once had a murder mystery game at my place. I left like two or three clues to move to the next puzzle. People loved it because if one puzzle was to hard, they still had a chance to find the answer by looking for another clue to solve the same problem. If you pay for the cheat videos, it just gives you the answer right away. I wish it would give more clues, and have a give up option, and then show the answer.
Delightful Wander Through Magical World
Very relaxing to explore medieval world with soothing music, beautiful scenes, and many clues to find and puzzles to solve. I liked the first Blackthorn Castle as well.
Page 95 doesn’t respond to hashtag dots on wall
Frustrated with page 95..the # symbol on wall doesn’t work. Pushed right buttons but is frozen. This has happened many times. Please fix.
Fun for my son and me
My son and I had fun with this game. Some puzzles were very hard but overall the gameplay was very good.
Der 1. Teil war viel besser
Die Rätsel sind trotz Lösungsvideo einfach unlogisch. Entweder bin ich tatsächlich zu blöd oder es ergibt oft keinen Sinn. Der erste Teil war deutlich besser. Diesen kann man sich sparen. Macht irgendwie keinen Spaß mehr.

I thought that the first Mystery of Blackthorn Castle part one was great. The puzzles were fantastic and making it easy to go from one place to another was awesome! But part two was, OMG fantastic! I so thoroughly enjoyed it. I love everything about it.

Nicht wirklich rund…
Der Schwierigkeitsgrad und der Umfang haben im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger deutlich zugelegt. Das ist erst mal nicht schlecht. Leider wurde der Schwierigkeitsgrad an manchen Stellen durch unfaire Mittel erkauft: - Einige Hinweise sind viel zu abstrakt bzw. enthalten Logikfehler. - Einige Hotspots sind beim Antippen nicht als solche zu erkennen. Sie reagieren erst bei Verwendung des korrekten Gegenstands. - einige wenige Rätsel basieren rein auf dem Try-and-Error-Prinzip. Getreu dem Motto: So jetzt such mal auf dem 90 Screens die Stelle, an der du den Gegenstand einsetzen kannst. Eine echte Hintergrundgeschichte ist wieder nicht vorhanden.

Puzzles can be hard and knowing how to use the items sometimes is difficult. It’s a fun and relaxing game. Pick it up. Get stuck. Stop for a while then remember where you left off to find a new way to look at it. I enjoyed it.

Anfangs macht es Spaß, im Laufe des Spiels kommen aber Rätsel, deren Auflösungen trotz Hilfe und Video nicht nachzuvollziehen sind. Schade

Ein sehr schön gemachtes Spiel, aber für mich ohne die gegen Aufpreis erhältlichen Lösungsvideos nicht lösbar. Teilweise kann ich die Lösungen auf dem Video nicht nachvollziehen.

I like most of the puzzles but some of the clues don’t make sense and I do not like jumping all over from site to site.

Great game but impossible clues
I’ve played all of these games and most puzzles can be solved with a bit of time and logic but this game had some clues that made no sense. Even when watching the cheat videos I still couldn’t follow the logic. But still great graphics. Fun challenges.

Absolutely impossible to get through this game without looking at the clues, even then, most of the clues don’t make sense. In some cases I had to video the clue on my phone, then try and copy to the game using iPad. I have all Syntaxity games, have been doing them for years and up till now have really enjoyed. My 7 year old has been doing them for 2 years but I will not show him this one despite being suitable for aged 4 years and over. I think someone was having a laugh when they created this game. So frustratingly bad and over.

Excellent puzzle. Difficult in places - not always clear how to keep moving ahead - but resolves well and thoughtfully designed and executed throughout.

This is one of my favourite games but I played the 7.00$ and my game is like crashing I’m following the clues exactly how they do it and it doesn’t go through and I’m on the piano with the clue in the hat .The resin I’m tearing this a 3 is cuz I love these games. IM PRAYING MY GAME WILL FIX🥺🥺🥺😉

Nonsense puzzles ruined the whole game
I’ve played all the big titles in this genre from all the top developers who make these adventure games , I have also enjoyed and played all the Syntaxity games in the past too. However this game BC2 has left me feeling frustrated. 90% of the puzzles just don’t have logic to them, and believe me I love to scratch my head trying to figure out how to solve them usually but I had to cheat my way through the game by watching a YouTube walkthrough video.. and even after seeing how the puzzle was solved I was still none the wiser . The puzzles are just (expletive). There’s also too many of them , it’s overkill and I lost interest very quickly . The map is big , I’m really not a fan of tapping back and forth from one end of the map to the other continuously and no I won’t pay for the quick travel- just make a big map ,but have it so that we can’t progress further unless we have completed a section that we won’t have to return to. It’s really .....annoying ! I feel like I want a refund , it’s a very pretty game but the gameplay is shocking. Ive bought games in the past which had really bad low resolution graphics but the puzzles were top notch and the storyline superb . This didn’t do it for me at all.

Cryptic clues spoil the fun
This could have been a good game but it gets annoying after a while when you are trying to make sense of clues that do not make sense. Having to copy the solution after watching the YouTube clip and still not understanding the clues does not make for a good game.

Absurd
Good luck solving the puzzles. you won’t. so you look at the clue. you still won’t. So then you look at a utube video (annoying) for the solution and although you now see what the answer is, you are still none the wiser as to why. Awful game which is just irritating and not fun. boring. if you’re going to design puzzle games, at least make the puzzles solvable.

A drop in quality
I usually love Syntaxity games - this series has previously been excellent and the mechanics of the game are really good. The camera that automatically takes photos of useful things and deletes them when you’re done is excellent. But this game fell down with too many puzzles that just didn’t make sense. The clues were no help at all, and either said something completely different to the actual solution, or were so obscure that you could never have guessed what the answer was. I had to use the answer section multiple times, and there were numerous other comments also saying that the solutions didn’t make sense with the clues. Very disappointed that I wasted $10 on this, once I had paid for the game, the clues and the fast travel. And paying extra for fast travel was a blatant money grab that I really disapprove of. It should have been included in the game.
